Phuket Immigration now requires the 3 million baht health insurance if you are extending your retirement stay based on your original Non-Imm O-A visa. If you have existing insurance cover, good for you. Otherwise, time to ditch the O-A and move over to Non-Imm O visa.

Why should SQ does the job of the Immigration Dept of the destination country? If you are denied entry, you buy another ticket to fly out. Good for business. Especially no one can be 100% sure the IO will let you in even you have a valid visa.

Why are you keep applying for OA Visa which requires you to have a 'useless' health insurance? Non-Imm O visa is just fine. No insurance and no police background check required. But remember to submit a new TM30 when you enter with a new visa if you intend to an extension after that.

There is no need to re-submit a new TM30 if you are living in the same address each time you return from overseas.

Prior to my trip to Immigration for my extension, I go to the bank for bank letter and 12 months transaction print out and they update my bank book at the same time.

Instead of keeping the old TM6 tab, I now keep the latest boarding pass of the flight I came back to Thailand. That will match the latest entry stamp in my passport.

Thank you for your interest and comments on this matter. However, I have to correct you that I was not the one who caught COVID even after getting 3 booster shots. While we are still on COVID, I believe all COVID-19 vaccines are approved for emergency use only. Since WHO has declared COVID-19 is no more a pandemic, we need to question the continue use of such vaccines without undergoing prolong research and testing. Otherwise, we will become slaves to the pharma companies injecting ourselves with booster shots on the hype that it 'helps'. COVID-19, like the common cold and influenza will not be going away any time soon. The choice to take precaution is up to us and not what the pharma companies tell us to take their half proven vaccines. I am not anti-vaxx but I don't want to be 'enslaved' by the pharma companies with their hypes. There are a lot of skeletons in the cabinet. Only time will tell. In the meantime, the pharma companies are laughing all the way to the bank.
