You trust them when they show personal details of passport for all to see in their website?

Reporting a guest ??
Kopitiam replied to brianthainess's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
A running a guesthouse is a business. Furthermore, there is no need to fill in the arrival card anymore. Theoretically, by law, the house owner must report the guest staying at his house. But there is always some leeway, especially when you don't need to deal with immigration office later. -
Tourism Ministry Proposes Free Covid-19 Booster Shots for Tourists

Why do we still have waves and waves of transmission when so many have already been vaccinated? Many have also re-infection even with multiple booster shots? -
Tourism Ministry Proposes Free Covid-19 Booster Shots for Tourists
Kopitiam replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
COVID vaccines are for protecting you from getting seriously sick when infected. Not preventing you from spreading the virus. The Thai government is trying to kill two birds with one stone. Making money from Chinese tourists by offering covid vaccines and attracting them to come to Thailand for holidays. -

Here is a first. Wife car clamped for parking wrong way round.

You are still breaking the law for parking in the wrong direction (even on the correct side based on date). -

That was why I was in the queue. It was at the document check that they "sprang" the new requirement on me. Luckily the kind PSU assistant helped me out. Otherwise, I had to go in the queue again. At the previous photocopy location, you have a roof over your head. This new location, you are exposed to the elements while queuing.

I wasn't looking for any pity from anyone. You can keep yours for yourself. I was trying to do expats living in Phuket on retirement extension a favour on the new requirement of making a copy of the "Receipt of Notification" (address). I have no problem with the other required document. I have all my document lined up and the lovely assistant from PSU even made the missing copy for me herself with the office copier.

For extension of stay (retirement), there is a need to make a copy of your registration of address slip. The photocopy office is now at the right hand side of the new car park within the compound. This morning, the queue for photocopying was very long and I had to stand under the hot sun for 50 minutes to make copies of previous extensions and bankbook pages. The ladies in Room 103 doing the photo taking were very slow. Have to wait almost 45 minutes after been called into the room before exiting with the receipt and the pick up time for collecting the passport has been moved to 2pm the next day. All in all, had to spend almost 3 hours in the morning to get the extension done (not including going to the bank). Maybe it's a day after a public holiday (yesterday).

Not surprising that they will miss 2022/2023 high season business and I don't have high expectation of "soft opening" in Feb 2023. I reckon it's better late than never.

I was in Big C, JungCeylon last week. Looking around, I don't think JungCeylon will be ready to open in Q4 2022. The "central plaza" in the middle is all cut up and many empty shops have no renovation going on. I don't think Robinson is coming back. Nothing is going on behind the shutters.

After using Google Lens, the dates are stated as 5 October 2022 and 31 December 2022. Seems current and legitimate.

The dates are all wrong. Scam?

The Indians, just like the Chinese once were are everywhere.

800K timing after using an agent
Kopitiam replied to NoDisplayName's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Agent fees will be lower when he has the 800k in the bank account for his next extension and thereafter he can do it by himself. -
800K timing after using an agent
Kopitiam replied to NoDisplayName's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Then, you are not real. Anyway, with that scenario, your friend is screwed if he does his extension next year by himself. The 800k has to be in the bank for 3 months from the date the extension is approved. The IO will be looking for this at his next extension. And 400k has to be in the bank for the next 7 months. Two months before the next extension, the account has to be topped back up to 800k.
