  1. NO mention of the fact that the reactor is still pouring the equivalent of an Olympic sized swimming pool of radiation into our oceans everyday and has been for the past 5 years. The Japanese are still helping other countries develop nuclear facilities. NO mention of the fact that if one more hit on Japan bearing the same magnitude will cause the Japanese to evacuate their country as well, the entire west coast of North and South America will have to be evacuated.

  2. See the media has found a new word. "Lumberjack" .facepalm.gif

Of course, they could always use the more common word "logger" As in "illegal logging" of Rosewood timber.

It will remain in crisis as long as harsh measures are not taken against these people who are usually employed by "influential" people.

They are stealing the natural resources of Thailand. Soon there will be no decent timber left. attachicon.giflumberjack.jpg

Almost all of the wood is sent to China. Money trumps all.......

  3. They will all be gone pretty soon, just like everything else in Thailand. Elephants, Sea life, etc. The people don't care until it's all gone. Then you can expect to see the usual news reels and articles of Thais crying and begging for help from the rest of the world. Thai's in general never think about the future of their lives or country. Only living in the moment isn't always the best way to go through life......

  4. Really! I can only imagine these words coming out of the mouth of someone who came over on a paid trip and stayed a a top resort, being accompanied by attendants who had the contacts to get them the very best.

I would agree that Thailand is one of the top a retirement destinations if you're on a tight budget, avoiding taxation/deportation, etc, etc, etc....

What part of Thailand were they referring.

    1) Bangkok; nothing to do here except party and shop your life away.

    2) Pattaya; No thank you...

    3) Phuket; No thank you....

    4) Hua Hin; used to be nice, but becoming the same as 1,2.

    5) Chiang Mai; not bad, but have to leave for 2-3 months of the year...

Where else would one live, that wouldn't require leaving to buy perfume?

Then there is all the other stuff; which one is not even allowed to mention............

  5. Folks, you are untitled to your (xenophobic) opinions, but not your own facts.

This obscene mess is via Foreigners.

You can stuff that fact in your "Thai Bad, Foreigner Good" washing machine and let it run all day .. but the facts remain the same.

It is always a moment of laughter to stop by and read these postings with the realization of what vile vitriol I would have to wade through if this was from a Thai event.

Don't worry lads, you don't need to get your panties in a bunch, I only stopped by to see how this will eventually become the fault of Thai people and the Foreigners are helpless victims.

Foreigners go to beach party ... trash the whole place ... Blame Thai People ... Typical Thai Visa.

Speaking of trash ... please proceed with your postings, the day is young and I predict that by sundown, this forum will be in agreement that that mess on the beach, is the fault of Thai People.

    Typical Foreigners.

News flash! Anytime you hold a mass event, the end result is going to be an awful mess for someone to clean up. Whether it be a: wedding, Christmas party, Birthday, concert, etc. The result is always going to be the same. So why are you or anyone passing blame. If you don't want a mess, don't throw this type of event. Personally, I blame the local government for having such an event. They should care more about the environment they inhabit. But I guess it's all about the $$$$$

  6. I just hope that his policies will bring back the Canada that Harper tried so hard to destroy. A Canada with some compassion for the working man and a return to helping those less fortunate than the wealthy and not turning the governments back on the veterans who defend and fight for the rights of all Canadians.

I hope he does good. Not the election I was dreaming of, but anything was better than the evil dictator and his nazi party. At least the tories have absolutely zero voting power on passing anything through the house.
