  1. I'm very surprised that they were able to get a sketch from footage that showed a figure which was completely unidentifiable (unless they have something which is less translucent. To say that the person looks like a foreigner (which has been stated more than once) just shows the lake of experience being shown. That video fits almost every nationality, including Thai. I really wish the Thai authorities would refrain from giving out any information until they actually have concrete proof. Their stories related to crimes committed, seem to change by the hour; and quite frankly it makes a them look incapable of figuring things out. There have been several bombs in the last few months, and getting it figured out should be more important than an image or self pride. Ask everyone in the international community for help. To say this can't be this or that, or that it does not fit on particular mindset is being ignorant. Save the people, and stop an other tragic event from taking place again....

  2. Could they make it anymore obvious as to where the funds will be flowing. If you thought corruption was bad now; this will add an entirely new realm to the problem.

The police in most countries have way too much power. In Thailand the amount of power awarded to the police is mind boggling.......

These casino's are not gonna be in rows of shop houses like GO GO bars. We are talking about billion(s) dollar gambling complexes. Most likely a big Vegas outfit.

I kind of doubt some cop is gonna come rollin up on his scooter looking for some extortion money at one of these casino's.

I kind of doubt it as well. What I would imagine is a large % going into the police fund, and other top government outfits. Perhaps top brass officials walking though the back door with suitcases. I'm sure the farmers and low class will receive their usual meager handout to keep them quiet and subdued; just as the chief was sure to point out in justifying, and selling his case.

Of course it will be used to benefit the less fortunate, as Thailand is way to poor presently to take care of them.....

  3. I don't get it; The three men had been filmed just walking by;How did the person filming know they were going to break into a car. Or does the person filming just secretly sit in parking lots filming everyone who walks in? No film of them actually doing anything either. You would think the director would spend more time filming the incriminating evidence???

If they did do it, and there is more convincing evidence; I hope they get the book thrown at them....

  4. Now the world will see how an investigation is truly played out in Thailand. After all, when the girls are finally located; they will need to be awarded a fare trail, in order to be prosecuted. They will then have to tell the courts, where they were met by the boys, and for whom they work. If they can't remember the boys will be able to give a pretty clear description. Of course CCTV will certainly be able to retrace their steps. The police must then arrest the management/owner(s) of the establishment and charge them with the operation of a sex trade establishment, and possibly trafficking if it fits. I'm pretty sure they will find underage workers as well. Then if the establishment is connected to another similar establishments (possibly an entire complex/Soi), they must then all be shut down, and all the owners/associates arrested and charged. Since Thailand has committed itself to stamping out the sex trade/trafficking, no stone should be left unturned. Let's not forget the establishment where the sex acts took place; they will also need to be prosecuted for allowing such a lewd act to take place. The ex-footballers will surely have competent lawyers at their disposal.

Does all of this sound ridiculous?

    Exactly!

  5. It figures. Three football players fired for making a sex tape; I could maybe see them being fined or suspended, but fired; complete joke. Meanwhile a British teenage girl is raped and murdered almost a year now and still no prosecution or definite answers to the crime. Two Canadian teens poisoned and found dead; no prosecutions; swept under the rug. A movie star found hanging in his hotel room; no definite answers there. A prominent Thai figure who is a fugitive running free and still influencing a majority, and with police rank, no less. Countless such cases everyday happening in Thailand; most probably not even mentioned or closed quick quick. And yet a sex tape has the entire country of Thailand up in a heated storm. And as for the racial aspect of things; This is a country which bases beauty on the colour of your skin. Depictions and bumper stickers portraying Hitler as some kind of icon. And yet a sex tape has them ready to cross international waters and prosecute three young men who have already lost face publicly; and their jobs. How far do they intend to take this?

  6. If they went elsewhere it wouldn't have been much cheaper .... maybe 1,000 - 1,500 max.

2,000 baht each for seafood dinner, crab, fish & river prawns, drinks etc ...

Price seems to be at the high end of mid-restaurant market rates, however not exorbitant.

    Case closed .

    Case closed.

Who do you think you are, Judge Judy?

I can tell you right now, that any restaurant which uses cheap hand written bills such as this, are anything but mid-high end....

    Case closed!

  7. Condolences and my support to the Mounties and affected family members. I am sure it will turn out to be a mental health and substance abuse problem. Automatic weapons are difficult to get in Canada, although our neighbors like to have them available.

What the bleep ??? How did your " neighbor" get drawn into what is clearly a Canadian

problem ? If you think grabbing a gun and shooting people is only an American problem,

you must not read the news...

It could be because gun-related homicides in Canada are at about the rate of 0.5/100,000 population, while to the south the rate is about 3.6/100,000...

Canada has the lowest rate of homicides in all of the Americas.................

  8. Sad event but also shows violence happens in nearly every country including a peaceful place such as Canada.

Who said Canada was a peaceful place?

Maybe more guns on the street their than in Thailand.

Gang wars, Chinese & Indian Mafia, Bikers, Growers & and all of the other usual suspects are there and

gun battles are a common occurance.

You're joking right? You think there are more guns in Canada, then in Thailand; I think not. Canada has the lowest homicide rate in North, and South America; and problems Canada does have with guns, stem from the fact that they are are living next-door to the gun toting Americans; with almost no protected boarder. The difference here is; in Thailand this guy would still be on the run. Canada; He'll probably be caught or shot by the end of the day.........

  9. Good night tourism.

I mean how does that even work now?

Many tourists enjoy the night life of Thailand. This is a nail in the coffin for tourism if they are going to be confined to thier hotel rooms after saving all year for a holiday.

My understanding is that tourism only represents about 12% of GDP. I doubt they are not too concerned about tourists as a whole. Clearly, Pattaya etc. will be

Really; did you follow the Rayong oil spill. Believe me; Thailand is very concerned about tourists. It impacts the country in more ways than people think; international trade, investment, etc............
