That's why the service and back up on goods once they are bought is so bad in this country, because of attitudes like yours.

 

They do things like this because people don't have the know how or the guts to face them off and complain, hence adding fuel to the already blazing fire of corrupt practice.

You are correct mate, it's also a matter of principle.    Keep at them and threaten them with court action if they don't refund your money.

Best do do as I have done! Get on ebay and order all uk fittings and have your house wired UK style. Can even get a plug tester on ebay which when pluged in lets you know if the wiring is correct.

Postage for these parts was not to expensive.

Got stopped by BB whist teaching a woman to drive a few years back. She didnt even have her id card with her. After paying a 500 Baht fine we were told I could keep her on the road for 7 days from the date of the fine. Don't know if this will apply in your area.

I've known Vince for about 17 years and he is a nice guy to speak to. He never causes any trouble nor have I ever seen him the worse of drugs or booze. I'm sure many in Nong Khai will agree with me on that. Im sure there are a lot of bigger fish than Vince who should be nabbed.

OK, I have an old friend who is having difficulty getting his wife to divorce him; they have had no contact for 2.5 years. After reading this post can he divorce his wife?

She is currently asking 400,000 Baht plus the house. He now has a lawyer in Bangkok whom I feel is bleeding him for money.

No contact means no contact.

Currently asking 400,000 plus house implies current contact. If there is current contact I don't think you can use the "no contact" reason for a divorce.

Lawyers will always take clients for as much as possible. They have a conflict of interests, a short and easy solution does not earn them as much as a long protracted and complicated mess. That is why so many divorce cases are incredibly expensive.

If the house/land is in her name and he signed that bit of paper at the land registry department saying it was her money, bye bye house and land.

You are correct. We called her last week and asked if she would be willing to give him a divorce and the answer was that she wanted 400,000 Baht. Since then he has been to this lawyer in Bangkok.

What I'm trying to find out is,- Can he divorce his wife without her being in court as she is one awkward pig of a person? She will have no claim on his UK assets as this has been all sorted out.

How long does it take to raise a court action for a divorce?

The old guy I've mentioned is 82 years old and not in the best of health. The Thai lawyer he has in Bangkok has already been paid a considerable sum but has produced nothing in return. Only thing I know is that the wife received a letter about 2 years ago stating he wanted a divorce. Is there any way this can be rushed through the courts?

I have a Blue plastic tank and the algee was bad until I put a roof over it. Now OK.

I recently cleaned a guy's plastic tank with my pressure washer which was caked with algee, I could actualy peel the algee off.

Regard to a stainless tank;- I read somewhere that they are prone to pin holes.

That's quite interesting to me. Just today I noticed that on my computer. I have no idea how it got there. I went to control panel and it was listed in the programs, both a program and a tool bar. I uninstalled them both and ran both Spy Bot, and my antivirus program. Neither found anything. So far, so good.

I had this with windows XP two weeks ago. I draged the internet Explorer Icon from the start menu onto desktop page then deleted the Icon with V9.

Might not work for you but it did for me.

You have probably downloaded an extension or some crap which is overriding your browser settings. Look at your addons..
