  1. This guy's been kicking around Pattaya for years, anyone know what he does for cash?

Work permit? Real job? He seems to just go to the beach and walk around all day with no shirt on.

Apparently he claims to charge bar girls 500 baht a week and in return he offers them protection from there punters, basically a PIMP, not my words but his.

Apparently he takes care of 350 girls so thats 175000 baht a week tax free. No wonder the police are pissed at him, hes treading on there toes.

Go to you tube and type in Tim Ward and then watch his video named pimp, its all there.

So, no work permit, no visible [legal] means of support.

    Ship his pathetic, ugly, troglodyte, steroid-filled ass back to Oz. {Hey Tim, if you're reading here, bet you had to look up "troglodyte", didn't ya?}

He's admitting on Youtube he's breaking the law, I hope the creep gets deported.

LOL....you best hope. He may soon show up on your doorstep, after that blasting.

  2. Do you actually want an American breakfast (ie with things like waffles and hash browns) as opposed to a British one (ie with toast and jam, and fried farmyard)?

Either way, I would recommend the Casa Pascal brunch buffet as having decent quality breakfast items for just about every taste and ethnicity. Hard to beat for the price (225B).

How is toast and jam any different for either American of English Breakfast? Looking at the menus..they are usually the same, perhaps the sausages/bacon varieties are different. Actually, you can just go for the English breakfast...at any number of places along soi Buakhao.

I just shy away from (I suppose it is called Australian) plates where they throw on those crappy beans out of a tin can.

  3. I had the same problem... For me, it is stress, and a sort of night panic due to breathing irregularities. I have the feeling that I am not able to breathe when settling down for sleep. It scares me quite a bit, and I end up pacing around the house until I am tired enough.

Good news, I bought a real comfortable lazy boy chair, and hooked up my large tv screen to my laptop. I also keep a remote keyboard and mouse next to the chair. Now, I do realize it is not what professionals will recommend, but when ever I get that feeling of not being able to breath (probably sleep apnea), I recline in the chair and fiddle around on the computer until I fall asleep. It actually works, and I get more sleep in the chair than I do in bed. Funny thing is...reading the thai visa forums really knocks me out.wink.png

My brother and my mom both use a "sleeping machine". It is pretty much just a mask strapped over the nose and mouth and a pressure setting. This forces the air into your lungs, using slight pressure...and keeps your airway open. (Loose muscles there). I just panic even putting a mask on. It is psychological...for me...Perhaps a phobia.

Sleeping pills can be addictive. I used to drink quite a lot and the combination almost killed me. The side effects were devastating. Pure depression, anxiety and hallucinations. Anyways, that is just a quick, temporary fix that hides the real problem. Most of these sleeping medications warn against long/frequent use. Addictive and dangerous. First you take one, then two, then three...it is like your body builds up some kind of immunity. If she goes that route, make sure her doctor knows what else she is taking. It was a horror story...for me ten years ago.

  4. Did you contact your provider? Probably not...because they will charge you for the extra connection (box).

I really don't think it would be expensive... a few hundred more a month. Looks like the cable is setup to defeat running two boxes at the same time. That capability might have to be "switched on" from their side.

  5. In Alaska, they don't plow the roads down to the cement/base. All winter, you drive on compacted snow. In the spring, they have what they call "breakup". It's an absolute mess. Sometimes the packed snow is 8-12 inches deep. For about a week, it's almost impossible to drive around unless you have a truck. They even have a website to predict when it will happen:

    http://aprfc.arh.noaa.gov/products/fcst.php?product=SRAK48PACR

Thing is, you expect that sort of weather in Alaska. That comes to no surprise.

In our area, we have a big city...Buffalo, NY under 2 meters of snow in two days. That causes big hardships for quite hundreds of thousands of people...

Not just for a few truck drivers and Eskimos. lol

  6. I live in that area of New York State, just southeast of lake Ontario. We have record snowfalls every year. What makes us unique, is the "lake effect" snowfall. Lake Ontario is a huge lake, and the water can be relatively warm, compared to the cold air, blowing down from Canada. When conditions are right, a band of snow (snowbelt) can result in huge flakes, and fast buildup of snow, in a narrow corridor.... In Central New York, Just east of the lake...it is quite normal to see 4 to six foot snowfall, in one night, and just 30 miles wide. Nothing new for us.

  7. This girl will be soon authoring a book, I suppose. Profits will be invested. Not a bad move, for either Charlie, or her..... as he is not allowed to profit...directly.

Nah, his story is old news. No one cares any more and all of the facts have already been played out in books and movies.

Her book may be something different. For example....a love affair with a maniac....and how it came to be.

And perhaps there is some new angle.
