Average cost of condos held by farangs is 4.2 million baht, according to the report. Would be interesting to see the numbers in more detail.

"Cumulative infections in the province, since ... April 1st, have reached 4,106 cases, but most have recovered, leaving 64 cases still under treatment in hospitals. The provincial death toll is 26..."
So 4,106 positive tests. Assuming no false positives (that never happens, right?), that means that 4,042 have recovered and thus protected in the future as if they had had a vaccination. Great, right?
With 26 deaths in the province of 1.76 million souls, that means that 0.0015% of all residents here died with/of the virus since April 1st. In English, that's fifteen ten thousands of one percent.
I'm just curious, and an open question for the government authorities: How "safe" does it have to be (how much risk is acceptable) to end the masking (outdoor particularly), the closures of fitness centers and ... of bowling alleys, etc?
Would 0.0015% do it? Or do we want to get all the way down to 0.001%?
Does anyone in the government understand the phrase, "theater of the absurd"?

Still nothing.
By the way, my avatar disappeared. I tried to upload the same photo, but no luck. When I resize it to microscopic level as required, it will not fit the avatar box square.
It would be nice to have my avatar back, instead of visually being "T." MR T, maybe....

If I am sick with a virus, would I go to get advice or treatment from a neurologist?

A friend who needed to take a business trip to Bangkok had his HR department contact the health department here in Chiang Mai and the rule stands (notwithstanding what the airline I called said) that coming from Bangkok requires a self-quarantine on return to Chiang Mai of 14 days.
Again, moronic and baseless risk management. ...

Assuming I successfully register and assuming that they call my name and assuming I go to the designated place and find that they only have the ancient Chinese secret Sinojab, can I tell them I want to still be in the queue but will wait until they have a vaccine that actually has better efficacy?
Simply put, if they call your name and you pass this time, are you excluded from system?

Clonetom: Not that it's relevant to you, but I have real friends, not click-on "friends" and they use Skype and Messenger (which I used before it became a bundle with Facebook, where I have 28 friends).
I don't have Twitter, Instagram, LINE, WhatsApp, WeChat or their ilk.
Because a chat-like app appears does not mean you have to put it on your phone.
My point is that something that has to do with public health should not be tied to a single, Japanese app that presupposes that everyone will have that app (and have it on the "correct" device).
No one has actually answered my query, so I assume that if you don't have the particular application that the government favors, you can't register for a vaccine. So be it.

Here is the English translation of the site (I still can't register on LINE from computer....). The cost says "About 2,000 baht" plus doctor fee:
Thonburi Healthcare Group Public Company Limited opens registration for those interested in alternative vaccines. It is expected that the vaccine will be received in October 2021.
The company has provided services with network hospitals across the country.
However, THG recommends that you receive the vaccine as soon as possible by the government. and this alternative vaccine It may be used to enhance immune function afterwards.
The price of the vaccine is about 2,000 baht / syringe, including hospital and medical service fees. (Excluding doctor's fee) The doctor's fee depends on each hospital.
Note: Registration can only be done for 1 LINE account per 1 registration right.
For those who are interested You can register via Application Line,
just search for Line id : @thginfo
or add friends via Link : https://lin.ee/sIF8kHP
Ask for more details. Business
hours: 08:30 – 20.30 hrs.

I only have LINE on computer and the app does not have any form or area to register.
Is there some way to register aside from a phone app?

I have LINE on my computer, but the app will not work for registration on a computer. I refuse to trash up my phone with another stupid chat app.
Skype is free, and Messenger is fine too...
If LINE is so great, please tell me how to use the computer version to sign up. -
You need to sign up with a LINE account, which I don't have, and have no interest in obtaining.
Not sure if there is some kickback to LINE or what, but I would like to know what other avenue there is to register.
I will not take an emergency use vaccine unless forced to, i.e. being prohibited from traveling, etc. But I will register in case I am compelled, against my will to get one.

Actually, just called Vietjet Air, and they contacted whoever they touch base with in the government and said NO quarantine needed from Bangkok to Chiang Mai.
But check the day before you fly as things can be fluid.

And is there a website that keeps track of all the changing situations?

The CDC link talks about some cases surrounding a facility in the US, but there is no evidence given that the infection was actually acquired there, only that they were at the same place during various stages (apparently) of infection (or not being infected).
My fitness center closed for 2 full weeks after one person tested positive who had been in the facility -- no one said this person was infected there and there were no subsequent positives associated with the place.

You can pack in a MacDonald's and eat all the sodium burgers you want; get a foot massage; mingle in the local night market (where people are cheek to jowl); and shop anywhere you like...
But exercising? Oh, no! DANGER! DANGER!
Forget this:
78% of COVID-19 patients hospitalized in the US overweight or obese, CDC finds"Among 71,491 U.S. adults who were hospitalized with COVID-19, 27.8 percent were overweight and 50.2 were obese, according to the CDC's latest Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report published March 8.
The analysis included 148,494 patients who received a COVID-19 diagnosis at emergency departments or inpatient visits between April 1 and Dec. 31 across 238 hospitals. Of those, 71,491 were hospitalized.
Those who were overweight or obese were more likely to require invasive mechanical ventilation, findings showed. Obesity was also linked to increased risk for hospitalization and death, especially among those under age 65. As BMI rose, so did the risk, the CDC found."
Or perhaps it is that keeping all exercise facilities closed that is keeping the positive test numbers low, eh?
Seriously, though....what gives?

" I will try to take advantage of this offer, on condition I don't get virus from some asymptomatic foreign tourists and phuketians "
Are you similarly afraid of getting the seasonal flu? Herein lies the problem.
Unless, of course, you are speaking tongue in cheek....

This should include structural examination.

For anyone who says no, how old are you now?
Do you think you would answer this question the same way in the year 1900 when for a man, the life expectancy was 46 years?Of course we want to live longer.
