Thanathorn has not been allowed to take his seat in Parliament yet so he has no need to transfer his assets into blind trust until he does so!

I wonder how many trees were cut down to make the brown envelopes.

Simple pay Thais subsidies to spend money in other provinces and fine farangs for going to other provinces and spending their money!

I have a UK postal address and am able to have $50,000 of insurance for $150 a month. This is adequate for Thailand. At 72 local companies are quoting over 75,000 a month and exclude preexisting conditions!

Good that they have morals better if they switched to vote with the opposition parties. That would really shake things up!

Sad that "independent" agencies in the States are just as lazy as in the Land of Smiles (the land of brown envelopes?).

She is not wearing a motorbike crash helmet surely that is a more serious offence. Her other job earns tea money for important people!

I have stopped going on short trips away from Pattaya because of the TM30 rules. Isn't it time someone realized that the farangs living here are not going on short trips because of the red tape of the TM30.

At least he is going to study the pros and cons. He is definitely the best Minister of Tourism for a long time. Pity he isn't in charge of the TM30 disaster!

Last year Pattaya North, South and Central Roads were dug up at huge expense to put all cables underground as far as I can see none have moved underground. The utility companies refused to pay the high rental costs involved in renting the underground tunnels!

Thai's have right of way obviously. If the police are called you will be accused of driving too fast! The other day a motorbike on the inside of mine suddenly turned right in front of me without signalling. A policeman came and said you farang drive to fast pay other man or I make you wait police station 3 hours and then you get fine too. The police man was 1/2 a mile away!

When I wake up my heart rate varies from 45 to 55. When I was 14 my heart rate was 50 in the day. I was a good long distance runner because my breathing slowed down. A weight loss can reduce your heart rate too. If you are taking exercise that will also lower your resting heart rate. Lack of stress reduces heart rates too.

I wonder if he will now have to fill in a TM30 like all the dangerous expats!

I asked Pattaya Immigration this question. They stated that when I lived in my own house, which is no longer the case, I didn't have to file a TM30 after returning from overseas. Now I am renting a condo if my landlord is filing a TM30 on my behalf I also don't have to report myself. However if I go abroad I should tell my landlord that I am going abroad as he is reporting my presence daily to Immigration.
Immigration has an android app that allows you to report yourself without going to Immigration. For safety I will use when I return from abroad.

Because the girls you take for the night will wash your dishes badly and for free.

Obviously the Minister of Tourism can't read basic figures or listen to the people on the ground in Pattaya who are closing their shops and bars because tourism is down 30% and many hotels are only at 10% occupancy!

Surely this is a computer crime with a huge prison sentence or does that only apply to farangs?

Why are these fines so ridiculously low! A 10,000 baht fine might have an effect. But 500 baht is peanuts to these mafiaiosi.

I doubt anyone complies 100%, after sleeping on friends couch etc.
As others have said complying at one office is not the same as complying at another office.
I was told by Jomptien Immigration that as I lived in rented accommodation that I only needed to report after returning from overseas and not after staying in a hotel in Thailand. However if my landlord reported me I should tell my landlord when I was going abroad and when I returned. As a safety matter I also self reported but was told that strictly this was not necessary if my landlord reported me. If I owned my condo then I would have to report once and on return to my own condo wouldn't have to report again.

Never drink in a bar without the check in front of you. And after each drink check the bill or pay as you go. Your fault for not having the check in front of you!

Just face saving. The European Commission has said that no changes can be made to the deal already struck so no extension after 31st January next year will be allowed. 31st January next year will be BREXIT with or without a deal.
