  1. Thai's have right of way obviously. If the police are called you will be accused of driving too fast! The other day a motorbike on the inside of mine suddenly turned right in front of me without signalling. A policeman came and said you farang drive to fast pay other man or I make you wait police station 3 hours and then you get fine too. The police man was 1/2 a mile away!

  2. When I wake up my heart rate varies from 45 to 55. When I was 14 my heart rate was 50 in the day. I was a good long distance runner because my breathing slowed down. A weight loss can reduce your heart rate too. If you are taking exercise that will also lower your resting heart rate. Lack of stress reduces heart rates too.

  3. I asked Pattaya Immigration this question. They stated that when I lived in my own house, which is no longer the case, I didn't have to file a TM30 after returning from overseas. Now I am renting a condo if my landlord is filing a TM30 on my behalf I also don't have to report myself. However if I go abroad I should tell my landlord that I am going abroad as he is reporting my presence daily to Immigration.

Immigration has an android app that allows you to report yourself without going to Immigration. For safety I will use when I return from abroad.

Obviously the Minister of Tourism can't read basic figures or listen to the people on the ground in Pattaya who are closing their shops and bars because tourism is down 30% and many hotels are only at 10% occupancy!

I doubt anyone complies 100%, after sleeping on friends couch etc.

As others have said complying at one office is not the same as complying at another office.

I was told by Jomptien Immigration that as I lived in rented accommodation that I only needed to report after returning from overseas and not after staying in a hotel in Thailand. However if my landlord reported me I should tell my landlord when I was going abroad and when I returned. As a safety matter I also self reported but was told that strictly this was not necessary if my landlord reported me. If I owned my condo then I would have to report once and on return to my own condo wouldn't have to report again.
