  1. On the face of it - you are not resident in the UK for income tax purposes and any profits you earned from the business would not have been deemed income aring in the UK or even be declared by you to HMRC. If the income was earned in a UK company then the directors of that company have to report the taxable profits of that company to HMRC. If a UK company was formed and went into liquidation then the tax man would chase that company for unpaid Corpoaration tax and Income Tax. You would have no income tax to pay on your share of the profits if taken by way of fees. If you were paid a dividend in the past then the company should have deducted advance corporation tax from the dividend and paid it over to the tax man.

I do not see you having UK problems, however, it would appear that you were tradingt/working in Thailand and if you did not have a work permit that would be a big problem for you In Thailand. You should also have declared your Thai profits to the Thai tax-man. The Thai problem far outweighs any UK problem!

  2. Technically you only have to file a change of address so if you always live at the same house no notification of change of address is needed. It is needed for the first time you register your address. If you go on holiday in Thailand the hotel informs the police of your movements and the form you fill in states where you have come from and where you are going to. Thus no requirement to re-register your home address.

  3. All you do is take your old and new passports to immigration.Immigration then waste 2/3 pages of your new passports by restamping your initial entry visa and first permission tostay visa and your last visa in your new passport. Then all is OK. I have had two new passports since retiring to Thailand. Your 90 day visa runs from the day you report. Your annual visa can be renewed 30 days before it expires or 60 days if you have a valid reason.

  4. Across the road from me is a gated village with 24 hour security. They are burgled frequently. Nearly always when the owners are abroad on holiday. What a surprise. Where I live there are no security guards other than peoples own dogs. In the past eleven years only one house had a theft of a ladder from the garden. Says a lot for security guards who tip off their mates about empty houses.

  5. If staying faithful does not include short-time gropes/fondles/sex then all is well. Thai woman get angry about "Mia Noi's" and knowing that you have bar-fined a girl. Anything they do not know about does not count!
