  1. I'm not sure they care, money rules.
  2. They've been talking about making it family friendly for at least 20 years. It will never happen, there are plenty of other family friendly places in Thailand.
  3. I've never heard of that, I don't think we do it in the UK although I may be wrong. It makes sense, the mechanic is confident about the quality of his work and willing to prove it.
  4. I agree, I can't even guess how he managed that.
  5. Alternatively, I can just ignore people that talk rubbish.
  6. Possibly, meanwhile the poor bloke has a duff motor he can't afford to repair, meaning no income.
  7. Sorry, as English is my first language, I haven't a clue what point you're trying to make.
  8. Good luck getting compensation, they won't even admit it's their fault.
  9. Your example is not an accident, it's a crash caused by drunk and reckless driving. The police don't arrest drivers for accidents.
  10. Actually the landlord is the clown, lending money to someone who has already defaulted on the rent. Nothing to do with the police.
  11. Sorry but accidents are not avoidable, this was. Crossing at an illegal crossing point is just plain stupidity. What I don't understand is the trains are notoriously slow, how did she not see it.
  12. I really didn't want to go there. Who knows what goes through the minds of these perverts.
  13. It's not an accident, they can't be avoided. This is tragic, but easily avoided. The young girl was stupidly trying to cross the tracks when a train was coming, how did she not she the train?
  14. They call them "file photo for reference only" however they invariably bear no relevance to the subject posted.
  15. How did he get away? Or were the locals outside her house pissed.
  16. Yes, my wife pays into that. I got the impression from the post by "mokwit" that the government insurance was better than what those in the private sector get.
  17. This is probably the worst of the cheap Chinese online retailers, really shoddy products.
  18. That looks very stable and suggests the tourists were hit directly. Just a freak accident.
  19. I doubt many would disagree with that. However, if it is malicious and Total lies they should also face the consequences.
  20. I'm sure some do, however, unless they are very Internet savvy it's still traceable if you wish to pursue it.
  21. Typical Thailand and it's entitled few. The principle picked on the janitor as he is an easy target and way below the esteemed principle. The reality is the old knackered truck is the responsibility of the school and not any individual.
  22. A very good point, but don't private companies provide that? If not, how much would medical insurance be though? I know it's crazy money for foreigners, especially if there are known issues, but for Thai?
  23. So this happened in 2019 and it's still not been cleaned up. Surely that should have been the priority, the financial sanctions second. OK, they've won, now try getting the 1.8 billion.
  24. Exactly, I'm sure he did as all the Thai I know are aware of the pay differences. He opted for security over salary, if he's not happy, change jobs.
