With the aid of Browsec, today I binged on the 4 episodes of Archie and loved it. It's all on ITVx.

Some of you would have already watched Spartacus (2010-2013 series), but if you haven't I urge you to do so. Imo, it's up there with the best that television has to offer and is a MUST see.

I was looking through the sports section of the BBC online and I saw that Australia were 50 for 4 in reply to Afghanistan's 293 and decided to watch the rest of the match, as a win for Afghanistan was on the cards. At 91 for 7 it looked all over for Oz, but what transpired amounted to, probably the best run chase you could ever see. Although he was struggling with cramp, Maxwell managed to put together an amazing 201 from 128 balls to win it for Australia. If you didn't see it, watch the highlights, especially Maxwell's innings, I can't imagine ever seeing the like of it again.

I just finished watching "The Little Drummer Girl", a 6 part mini series on the BBC i Player. It's a good adaptation of John Le Carre's espionage novel and will keep you up for 2 or 3 nights.

One of the worst things about riding a motorcycle in Bangkok is the heat.
Sometimes the convenience of being able to 'split traffic' is offset by the heat, getting too hot and sweaty etc.
Using a TukTuk seems to combine both the inconvenience of getting stuck in heavy traffic and the discomfort of being exposed to the elements and heat !!...
Although, obviously a TukTuk is safer than a bike as its 'harder to fall off'.... But, the same convenience can be achieved with a regular taxi and that comes with AC !!...
Do you know, I can't remember ever being stuck in traffic when hiring a Tuk Tuk. The drivers know the short cuts in Bkk and don't get stuck very often. I'm quite happy to brave the elements and don't need the creature comforts offered by thieving taxi drivers.
-
A couple of years back I had to spend some time in Bkk and wasn't ideally placed for public transport. Instead of renting a bike or car, I got a local tuk tuk driver to give me his phone number so that I could call him when I needed a ride. Our arrangement worked fine and wasn't expensive.

Not sure what you saw but she wasnt at fault as she had right of way traveling straight and the person turning didnt
The lady was turning right. The guy will probably get away with it, but I reckon it was just as much, if not more, his fault. He was probably speeding, he had no front headlight and he obviously wasn't driving with due care and attention as he noticed the SUV turning right at the last minute when he then changed lanes. Some of you have been quick to call the woman an idiot, but the poor thing didn't see the oncoming mc coming.

Just discovered this, a little late but loving it .
Penny Dreadful (2014 - 2016 ) 3 seasons.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2628232/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk
Vampires, werewolves, Dr Frankenstein c/w monsters plus all sorts of evil beings in this drama/fantasy/horror starring Josh Hartnett, Timothy Dalton, Rory Kinnear, Harry Treadaway and Billie Piper with plenty of other “ I know the face but can’t remember the name “ actors.
If you like a bit of blood and gore , plus quite a lot of graphic nudity, then this is for you.
I binged on 4 episodes of Penny Dreadful as the ratings persuaded me to stick with it. There's no question that the series is a real work of art, but it's really not for me. Thanks anyway Andrew, I'm sure horror fans will love it.

Yesterday, at the monthly check-up, the Potassium levels were too high.
The doctor advice me to adapt my diet and eat more "white" vegetables such as cabbage.Avoid the "yellow" vegetables and fruits.
My Potassium level was 5.1, and in August 4.6.
Any tips how to bring Potassium levels back to "normal"?
As I can see, the Potassium levels are very fluctuating, just like sugar levels. Are your kidneys functioning ok, what's the GFR? If ok, then you should cut down eating foods with high potassium content such as potatoes, dark green vegetables, mangoes etc. You can google the question "which veg and fruits are high in potassium" Don't overdo it though, as not enough potassium is not good either.

Geez.
He can apply for a single entry Non O based on retirement..
He could also apply for ME Non O based on retirement.
Neither should be referred to as Retirement Visa.
Very different animals.
Won't continue this chit chat as obviously pointless.

Having entered Thailand with that visa he would receive a 90 day stamp.
He will need a Thai bank account."
And that's not a retirement visa?
Quote me in full if you want to answer

We do not know what someone is asking.
Many threads start with...
"I have a Retirement Visa"
That could mean Non O based on retirement single entry giving 90 day permission of stay.
Could mean have annual extension.
Could mean Non O-A.
Could mean ME Non O marriage or retirement. Valid for one year
All of which require specific advice.

Stop.
The 800k is using money in bank method for obtaining a Non O based on retirement in Thailand.
The subsequent 12 month extension required 800k seasoned in Thai bank account in your name only for 2 months.
The application for the initial non O only requires 800k in account on day of application.
BTW visas are not renewed.
The permission of stay can be extended.
The ME Non O visa either based on marriage or retirement is a visa valid for one year and I won't outline the requirements as that has been explained above.
Think couple of posts from mods explained clearly that option.
In the main obtained at Savannakhet for folks already in Thailand.
Back the truck up.
You are very confused
I would think she's even more confused now
"The 800k is using money in bank method for obtaining a Non O based on retirement in Thailand"
Really?

So what is the correct name of the one year visa for which you need 800k in the bank?
You need 800k in the bank (or a monthly income of 65k) for your annual extension of stay, based on Retirement. Although there is no such thing as a Retirement Visa, we all know what you mean, but some of our more pedantic members sit on their computers waiting to pounce on anyone who calls it a Retirement visa.
