  1. Not quite Chivas. I've tried Surfshark, Express and another VPN whose name escapes me, but some years ago someone on here recommended Browsec so I tried it and imo their premium service is at least as good as anything out there and they are probably the cheapest on the market. Their customer service is also second to none.

Many, many thanks for this recommendation (About Time) because I enjoyed it immensely, and I had a moment of sadness during it, mainly because the love affair between Tom and Mary was lovely, and intense, and I recalled the few times that I had been in love like that, but then realised that the chances of that happening at the age of 76 were zero! Lovely movie, thank you.

Nearly forgot that I thought the song, "How Long Will I Love you" was brilliant and so very well performed by Jon Boden, Sam Sweeney and Ben Coleman – – haunting and I've downloaded it to listen to on occasion.

Glad you enjoyed it xylo. Did you know that the writer, Richard Curtis, also wrote Love Actually, Notting Hill, Four Weddings.......and The Boat that Rocks, all really good movies.

Why don'r you open  a Thai £sterling account and transfer £sterling from your UK account to your Thai account?
My UK bank, Barclays, has no charge for International £sterling transfers to Thailand and the Thai bank charges a £12 receiving fee.

Doing this means I can transfer £sterling, whenever I want, from my Thai strerling bank account to my  Thai Baht bank account with no trnsfer charge. Bankok bank exchange rate lies between their buying and selling rate but I can't remember the term they use.

I too can transfer sterling whenever I like and Wise uses the commercial rate, which is far better than BB's rates. There is no receiving fee either. Next time you change currency, I suggest you have a look at what you would have saved with Wise, I reckon you'll have a big surprise.

I noticed on BBC iPlayer that there was a movie from the 80s, called "Manhunter", the title of which I vaguely remembered, but could remember nothing about the film itself, so I decided to watch it, and am so pleased that I did because it was a very entertaining/good movie IMO.

I'm going to watch that xylo, good revues on IMDB as well.

  5. Prices have tripled, at least, during the last 10 years. Israelis and Russians have been buying, building and renting decent properties on the Island and prices have shot up. Before you book anything, make sure that the property has access to year round water, as lack of rain in Koh Phangan and Samui, along with a virtual non existence of planning permission for new properties is creating a MAJOR problem.

Can you give an update when you finish the LOST series? I stopped watching just because of other things going on in my life but think I had friends tell me they lost interest in the later seasons.  If you think it is good all the way through I will have to download it.

Most of the stuff I watch is recommended by the IMDB users, as is Lost and according to the majority it's worth watching to the end. I've just finished Season 4 and I'll try and remember to give you the heads up when i get to the end.

    Thanks for the update.

It is not in the press as far as I can see.

    A very sad event.  ☹️

Yes, very sad, especially being all young people. What I can't understand is that very little that goes on in KP gets in the press. When I came here 11 years ago, I was told that more than 100 people died in MC accidents per year on KP, and I've heard of some terrible examples. It makes me wonder if that kind of news is deliberately suppressed.
