  1. As for the drafting of the Computer Crime Act B.E. 2556, the minister said he has already conducted public hearings to collect opinions and ideas from the people in order to push the new act forward.

Computer or cyber crime act is what govt. always need to change on routine basis according to current technology.

As of today, diodes are not in use any more as a part of technology and is replaced with transistors and capacitors, any such law associated with diodes has to replace with current technology. Maybe tomorrow, nano technology will replace any transistors and capacitors related act.

Same is the case with softwares or e-commerce.

    (My opinion.)

Think you are missing the point, in Thailand the Act is used as a tool for supressing free speech

+1 to Simple1 - you are missing the point

  2. Years ago Pizza Hut tried an all u can eat pizza day. It was a disaster. They didn't have a "hot table" set up where you could just help yourself. The waiter/waitress would come around with a pizza and she would give you a slice. I tried it a couple of time but never did get "all I could eat".

Your heart thanks you, by the way...

  3. All unis ever do is apologise after the fact, they never try to prevent any of the nonsense that happens.

Mind you it's common practice to deny anything is excessive and hide behind culture, teaching teamwork and other weak excuses.

Can't speak to all univeristies, but my faculty at Mahidol severly curtailed these kind of activities years ago. Currently our students are only involved in activities for one week prior to school opening, and its most cheering, singing, and memorizing alma mater, etc. The last activity is to sing the university and college songs for graduates at their graduation ceremony.

  4. we miss a point - this is a very exclusive 'branded' MBA study in Thailand, not a school just for anyone out there. yes, extreme numbers in the fee, but almost no one would pay their own fee out of their own pocket. every year new applications are about 5 to 8 times over quota.

please search Sasin Alumni then you know who were there - all presidents, CEOs of big property developers, telecom providers, retails and marketing groups . . . the power of network !

this is the 'top gun CLUB', but not the 'top gun school' and they don't need to go through the 5G test.

Yes, the power of the network. This is why many pay up to $180,000 to do an MBA at Harvard or Yale.

The website lists the student population as being 15% non-Thai. For a non-Thai what is the benefit here as non-Thai's would never be given a job that a Thai could do.

If they decided to go back to their home country their degree would be worthless.

I have a friend who studied at HKUST (top 30 university in the world). Even they had a distinct disadvantage to US graduates in terms of landing top jobs.

Chula is not ranked by most university ranking ogranizations

Actually, it is. Ill wait while you check...

  5. Can't understand fools who take a chance with drugs in SEA. If you want to mess about with that stuff go to Amsterdam.

    Now there's an original sentiment.

Perhaps not original - but still the smartest advice found on this entire thread.

  6. My father always said - the best question to ask yourself of a proposed partner when thinking of marriage is "Will I have anything to talk to this person about 30 years from now, sitting around the breakfast table". Worked pretty well in finding my own partner, but I have a feeling that many TV'ers in relationships don't have anything to talk to their partners about today. (or can't due to the language barrier)

  7. Oh man there's a lot of people on high horses in this thread.

Naurally I can't be certain but I'd be willing to bet that a few of them have been pulled by the cops while driving pissed up and potentially capable of killing someone as well as themselves.

Yet here they are laying into a guy who's worried about foolishly being busted with some ganja. It's not like the guy was dealing, is it?

I dunno about others but from experience, I know that good parties can be made truly outstanding parties with a liberal application of a little weed or a few bumps of chang and no one gets hurt.

    Lehman Bros is right!
