  1. "We are talking about real scientific studies that prove a 96 percent reduction in the need for insulin or other diabetic type 2 medications, and the type 1 diabetes people reduced insulin an average of 81 percent in only weeks. "

Reducing the need for insulin isn't a 'cure'. If you still need to take it you're not 'cured There seems to be a huge misunderstanding of what the word 'cured' actually means medically. It doesn't mean the same as 'controlled'.

BTW I'm a type 2 diabetic and I don't take any medication at all so I'm hardly in thrall to 'Big Pharma'

  2. I'm the ....... (you conclusion jumpers who referred to me using various non-complimentary names please insert your favourite. Ha ha hoo hoo...rofl) who started this post.

I wish to thank the small percentage who had contributed in an intelligent, articulate, thoughtful manner.

Interestingly what really struck me over the month or so that I researched the various Thai visas was the absence of the Thai Elite visa. Naturally my research was using the internet and I never came across it once or if I did it's benefits certainly did not jump out in any noticeable manner.

Half of my business interests is associated with the internet (property marketing, not porn - you conclusion jumpers) so I would like to make a comment about Thai websites and their marketing skills.

    Awful!

Thai website are well behind the average and years behind the leaders. Thai govt. websites are even worse.

I subscribe to the digital Bangkok Post and read a few weeks back that one of the near economic aims of the Govt. is to have a serious digital economy (this is not just web related but includes all forms of digital businesses). Not gonna happen. Not enough skilled people. Not enough people that are skilled technically AND can read/write English.

For all intents and purposes IT is driven/created by English speaking people.

While I was in Thailand in Oct I asked a few Thai people why English has not been taught compulsory in schools.

English has been a compulsory subject in Thai schools for several decades.

  3. Strangely enough, this summer, the Spanish were offering tourists an official - police copy of their passport so they can carry that and avoid having the real one stolen. I didn't check on the cost and don't know if the service is still available.

Perhaps it would be nice if the RTP could offer that?

Also make it about credit card size so it fits in the pocket easily?

It is law in many countries that visitors must carry their passport at all times.

If carrying your actual passport, wrap it in something waterproof because it only needs a little wetting to render the passport useless!

Then you are into the additional waste of time and extra cost of an emergency passport, a replacement once you get home etc.

A royal pain in the bum!

there is no law in any country that you have to carry your passport,

    All 190 of them?

  4. They just don't want tourist anymore !

Everyday another attempt to stop tourists from choosing Thailand as a travel destination.....

Yep, I swear they fail to realize that without tourism this country would wither and die.

Oh please. From the CIA fact book:

    field_listing_on.gif
rice, cassava (manioc, tapioca), rubber, corn, sugarcane, coconuts, soybeans
    field_listing_on.gif
tourism, textiles and garments, agricultural processing, beverages, tobacco, cement, light manufacturing such as jewelry and electric appliances, computers and parts, integrated circuits, furniture, plastics, automobiles and automotive parts; world's second-largest tungsten producer and third-largest tin producer
exports of goods and services: 70.6%
imports of goods and services: -66.6%
    (2013 est.)
They're the largest auto manufacturer in SE Asia and the 7th largest auto exporter in the world.
  5. Ireland has a population of approx. 4 million how can it compare to Thailand?

Thailand, GDP, 2013: 387.3 billion USD

Ireland, GDP, 2013: 217.8 billion USD

    Norway: 512.6 billion USD

Thailand with 67 million people produces per capita much less than Ireland. Norway...way up there.

The average Thai salary btw is only 13500 Baht per month.

But they still won't give you a visa...

  6. Ive had the same problem for years in thailand, i work out of thialand but live in thailand, i go to work come back and just spend money, i use to live here on the non O visa, but they changed the rules, now you can only get the visa on arrival 3 times a year or 90 days total,

They stopped the '3 times a year or 90 days total' requirement ages ago.

  7. I find it difficult to exercise as I broke my leg quite badly (falling out of the bath!) three years ago and it still gives me a lot of grief.

walking is enough , as long as you get your heart rate up to 60 to 70% max .... 30 to 40 mins every other day , perhaps bicycle or rowing machine are options .... i think exercise will make a huge difference to your readings ..goodluck

    Thank you.

  8. I await your evidence with interest and see no point in responding to yet more of your repetitive rubbish until you produce said evidence.

Are you a complete idiot ?

Latest estimates suggest that £140m a year is spent on translation by the UK public sector as a whole.

140 million represent 0.05% of last year's welfare budget...
