That's not what I've heard
You missed out the word "Big". :-pThanks for stating the obvious Davo. I already know I'm a prick.
Mr S is that from close personal experience?
It certainly isn't! He keeps sending me lewd PMs and telling me how hansum I am

The "bloodsugar101.com" is indeed very good, but I prefer to use the UK one, http://www.diabetes.co.uk/. It has an excellent forum.

I find it difficult to exercise as I broke my leg quite badly (falling out of the bath!) three years ago and it still gives me a lot of grief.

I have two Thai friends who own restaurants in the UK. The best Thai food they serve is the food they cook for themselves after the place is shut. Half the stuff they eat simply wouldn't sell if it were put on the menu..
Oh god, what are they called and are they in London??
Sorry they're in the Midlands.

Gosh this guy kills me.
I do not have ANY personal experience with diabetes (other than family members being affected) but that does not deprives me the right of giving you an advice on the matter, otherwise all doctors and scientists should be required to have all the diseases they treat.
And yes I would swap your diabetes for my Lyme in a New York minute.
I believe in science - in this case the results my BG meter gives me. It tells me that some vegetables and almost all fruit is not good for my BG levels so I shan't be eating them.
You believe in science and look where it got you.
If I believed in science I would be locked up in a psychiatric ward, like many lyme disease sufferers as our disease 'does not exist' and we are 'making it up" or are crazy/depressed/deluded.If I was listening to doctors I would be in dire pains, in a wheelchair, paralyzed, unable to talk or sleep. I have been to all the hospitals in Bangkok no one could tell me what was wrong with me. When no doctor can help you, you HELP YOURSELF.
I took a leap of faith and that rid me off most of my pain.
I believe in what works, and raw food works.
If it can cure this frigging son of a B... of a bacteria that no antibiotic in the world can eradicate, I believe it definitely can cure diabetes, which compared to lyme sorry is a picnic in the park .
Both the NHS in the UK and the CDC in the US seem to think that Lyme disease exists:
http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/Lyme-disease/Pages/Introduction.aspx
Lyme disease is a bacterial infection. Diabetes is a hormonal disease. What cures or alleviates one doesn't necessarily cure the other.

susteno , what is your diet if you dont mind me asking ?
Things I don't eat:
Potatoes, rice, bread, noodles, pasta and fruit although I do eat cherries in season even though they're really bad for my BG.
Things I eat sparingly as I know they affect my BG badly:
Peas, lentils and similar legumes, sweetcorn.
I eat other veg. I also eat meat which, being protein, has little effect on BG.
I have a glass or two of red wine as it actually lowers BG.
Basically I eat a low carb diet - similar to Atkins but modified by me.
I know this works (for me - diabetes is a disease that affects different people differenty) because I measure its effects on my BG.
If I decide that I want to eat something new I'll get the BG meter out and test it.
My fasting BG is usually around 5.6 (100 in American) and my last HbA1C was 6.1 which is a bit high but I've been misbehaving myself a little.
All this goes out of the window at Xmas and on my birthday
The people I recommend to new diabetics are bloodsugar101.com which is free. She has a book you can buy but it's only what's on the website printed out.
There's also Dr Bernstein. He was an engineer who's been diabetic for 60 years. The medical fraternity wouldn't believe his findings so he went back to school and became a Doctor.

The difference between you and doctors is that they have been trained to understand the diseases that they treat. You have neither personal experience nor training in endocrinology so your advice on diabetes is not particularly relevant or useful.
I'm genuinely sorry that you have Lyme's disease and if I were a fellow sufferer I'd be grateful for any advice that you could offer from your personal experience.
If you can't see the difference between those circumstances there doesn't seem to be a lot of point in carrying on talking.
I believe in science - in this case the results my BG meter gives me. It tells me that some vegetables and almost all fruit is not good for my BG levels so I shan't be eating them.

a very good documentary on this subject is ,,,Simply Raw ,,,,
Lost cause
You show diabetes people that follow a raw food diet and cure diabetes 1
Diabetes 1 is caused when the body is unable to produce its own insulin. All the raw veg in the world won't fix that.

They refuse to look at the film, but they still say it's not true.
Hopeless
I don't need a film. I have one of these which tells me what's happening in MY body. I've tried most of the variations on diet and I know what works for me and it isn't raw veg. Still don't let my facts get in the way of your beliefs. BTW are you a diabetic. Are you talking from personal experience?

just what i expected ...another pointless post .... you are obvioulsy from the pharma camp , i suggest you open your eyes and ears , drugs are not the only way to treat and cure disease ....
Another tinfoil hat merchant. Actually I'm from the diabetics camp and I CONTROL (not cure) my diabetes without using any drugs at all.

http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2013/01/07/diabetes-remission.aspx......
i think its pretty well explained in this short article, even Dr Mercola a well respected pro in his field uses the word CURE ,,,
The only thing that Mercola is a 'well respected pro' at is flim flam. He's not an endocrinologist either...

So you moved to Thailand in order to pay less tax; i.e. improve your net income.
EU migrants move to the UK to work as they can earn more here than in their home country or they cannot find work in their home country; i.e. improve their net income.
No difference in intent that I can see.
Those who do come to the UK to claim benefits and live off the state will be sorely disappointed; they can't. To claim any non contribution based benefit in the UK an EU national must first pass the habitual residence test.
Don't try and confuse them with facts. It won't work...

what if all type 2 diabetes could be cured by diet change ? what would you say if the diet change did not include any of the crap you listed ? Type 2 diabetes CAN be cured by diet change ...that is FACT
That is nonsense. Type 2 diabetes can be controlled by diet. It cannot be cured. Type 1 diabetes cannot be controlled by diet as the body produces little or no insulin in the first place.
sticking to a healthy diet which controls your type 2 diabetes is a cure ........on the Type 1 point , i suggest you check your facts , many cases have been recorded where diet change has led to drastic reduction in the insulin requirements , i know two such people ,,,,,,
A 'cure' would be where not sticking to a healthy diet would make no difference to your BG level.
'A drastic reduction in the insulin requirements' is not a 'cure' either.
I suggest you educate yourself as to the difference between 'control' and 'cure'.

7% is not a lot of incentive to have a person quit their job to come and work for you.
Thing is how do you know he is not out of a job to begin with?
Because the OP said in his original post:
"Frankly his current salary is already pretty good and we what we want to offer is only about 7% more."
???
And where did the OP hear that he is still employed? from the agent? job seeker for sure won't let the OP verify if he is working at X company. A lot of gullible folks. Not sure if the OP is using an agent to recruit, or the agent approach him with a potential candidate. Sounds like its agent approaching the OP with potential candidate because agent seems to be speaking on behalf of the job seeker, and asking for higher salary so they can get higher commission.
You seem be making a large number of assumptions none of which are supported by the OP's post.

^ You want me to pay for THAT !

Why not? 100s of others have...
