  1. "Police said the weapon was an "airsoft" replica gun that resembled a semi-automatic pistol, adding that an orange safety indicator had been removed."

Here is a video discussing these air soft guns.

I quoted that from the report because it mentions that the orange safety indicator had been removed. BB and Airsoft guns in the UK must have a large part of the body made of orange or blue material or be partially transparent and I assumed that the same would be true of the US. Is this not so?

  2. Never Sure post # 5

And just which Utopia do you live in which never has a needless death, any violence against children, and where people are perfect and immortal?

Was a police officer and was trained as a firearms specialist we carried firearms in our dept at times, we were also trained to react accordingly.

Yes tragic unneeded deaths do occur however the killing of a 12 year old child is not a normal policing scenario.

    And your experiences sir ?

I'm a certified firearms instructor. I've been around guns all of my life.

They are making toy guns for kids now that look real. That's what should be illegal.

Look at these two guns. The first one with the blue background is a real 9mm Beretta 92FS. The second one on the wooden background is a toy replica. It even has the grip door open to receive the C02 cartridges to fire the soft projectiles.

Point either one of those at me and the result for you will be the same.

  3. Good grief....

Sarah Palin said today that illegal immigrants from Mexico should be put on boats and sent back across the ocean to their home country.

In an interview with Fox News tonight, the former Alaskan governor was asked about President Obama’s new plan to partially legalize some of the estimated 11 million illegal immigrants in America. Palin dismissed the president's idea as “amnesty” and offered an unconventional solution of her own.

“If I were Obama I’d put all 11 million of these folks on boats and send them back to Mexico,” she opined. “The liberal media says it’s impossible to deport that many people. But I say we can do it if we have enough ships.

“Let’s commandeer all the cruise ships, all the fishing vessels and all the yachts those fat cat Obama donors own. And then let’s pack ‘em full of illegals and send these people on a one-way cruise to Mexico City.

“Sean you're just wrong on that,” Palin replied. “I've been to Mexico many times and I can tell you it has excellent beaches. How can you have beaches and not an ocean?” cheesy.gif

  4. Seems odd to me when courtesy and respect is taught at school, but it is done out of habit not rudeness as far as I can tell - and thais seem very surprised ( and pleased) when the door is held for them as they follow you through.

You are assuming that 'courtesy and respect' are the same in Thailand as they are in the country that you went to school. Courtesy and respect are not absolute values - they vary as to where you were brought up.

  5. Has the OP realised that the one common factor in all these collisions is him? All the Thais he's talking about seem to be able to manoeuvre round other Thais without too many problems...

No Im afraid there's a least two of us but you keep on "pointing stuff out to us" if it makes you happy. good job youre here so we see the error of our stupid wayscoffee1.gif

Do Thais collide with each other on a regular basis?
