Humans are so arrogant and must be bored with their lives today to worry about this stupid virus (flu), which will be here every year until the end of the world.
Doesn't mean I want to get a stupid virus or a clever one.

The 1st part might be the case but as for being 3 times more dangerous is rubbish. A quick google search shows it's just another mild variant.
Mild for some, severe for others. Longcovid if you are unlucky. I rather wear a mask. Easier to handle.

Sure can...First places are 'Samitivej Hospitals' in Srinakarin and Sukhumvit 49. About 13,000 baht for 2 shots (spaced apart).
Other place is 'Medconsult' a few minutes away from Samitivej on Soi 49. A bit cheaper I think for the 2 shots.
Wherever you go check that they have stock of the vaccine as it must be kept in a controlled environment.
Hope this helps you.
Not sure if I'd go to Medconsult to save a few Baht. Have no confidence in this lady.

Well, if you convert pounds, dollars or euros to baht, pesos, dong, etc. that transforms men of even modest means into millionaires.

Legally, there is nothing the hospital can do to stop a patient walking off the premises.
Try it. It is no different to walking out of your hotel without paying. Fraud.

Saw Shingrix advertised in Bkk at 16.000 for 2 shots. 😱
No doubt there will be cheaper options.

There are many herbs that you can use to help regulate your cholesterol levels. Sesamin is a great supplement and it's easily available in Thailand on Lazada. Also cooking oil is absolutely critical, rice bran, olive or sunflower have relatively high flash points and help to keep your cholesterol levels low. If you're cooking with standard cooking oil like soybean, palm oil and canola your cholesterol levels are going to be higher and you're likely going to be less healthy.
You forgot Olive oil. 😊

If money is not a concern, the very best is at Bumrungrad Hospital in BKK

Can highly recommend a nephrologist at Bumrungrad.
While fees for standard tests are fixed, his fees are very moderate. He will not sell you anything not needed. He listens to the patient & he asks questions. Not common with Thai doctors.

You CAN get the 30-day extension upcountry same as before Covid.
You just cannot get the "online" extension upcountry, as you'd still need to attend immigration in Bangkok to get the stamp.
Thaiembassy.org is a 3rd party website. Do not rely on their info.

Normally above 5 Baht a Unit.
Overall price (amount to pay/number of units).
Was recently looking at renting an apartment/condo in Bkk. Very few landlords give you the actual bill. They charge you 8 Bht+++ per unit. No reduction gets passed on.

I noted the news yesterday that Hungary managed 2 military flights last Sunday and a 3rd flight later that same day (3 flights/4 days ago). God forbid the Thai military ever need to participate in a conflict on the other side of the world. it would be over before they got there. Is this the "3rd way" of avoiding conflict? I feel there is more to this story than is being printed here.
Flight from Israel to Cyprus. From there ppl had to find their own way. ????

Guys,
I am trying to find decent mens shirts, ideally made in 100% Cotton as they are lighter and cooler in this humidity. All I seem to see wherever I go is these lumberjack type pattern check shirts, I tried one or two Tailors but they want 1500bt and up which I am not prepared to pay for an everyday shirt. Where are you guys getting your shirts? I also looked on Lazada but their sizing is obviously Asian and too small. I need about 46 chest. in a plain color or may be something other than damn check.
Any suggestions and help ?
Thanks
Pure cotton is way more than 1500 Thb. You look at about 3000++ from a decent tailor. See Tailor On Ten.

Yep and a 6euro ATM withdrawl fee when any EU bank detect a Thai card.. And send them to local EU immigration for a whole day with half a tree when they want to extend for a mere 30 days..
Even with a German ATM card withdrawl from another German bank than my card the fee was 5,95€.

If Thailand chooses to tax your income then the U.S. can't?
With double taxation treaty you pay in US & in TH the diff. between the 2 countries.

It isn't proposed but a fact and has been in the works for years. It is an income and asset cooperating agreement between Thailand and most other countries and this info is updated yearly. The information goes both ways. If you reside in Thailand more than 180 days a year, you will be liable for tax on your world income and Thai tax authorities will know about it. So start packing.
It is usually a period of 183 days not 180. At least where I come from. ????

Everyone who buys anything is taxed. It's called VAT.
You most likely in your home country VAT is charged when you shop. You still pay income tax as well.

Eventually someone is going to write, "Does that mean farang's pension income too."
Short answer would probably be "No," at least for those countries with bilateral tax agreements with Thailand. If you're paying income tax in your home countries, then Thailand has no claim to tax the income twice. You wld pay the difference of tax rate between TH & your home country.

OP, is this something you would routinely do in your home country, change the locks when you rent a place, and not give the landlord a key ?
Germans do it.

Oh, hang on.... the agenda of some interested parties means that we will forever be in fear and therefore under their control.
A lot of 'covidiots' and antivaxxers and conspiracy theorists might not have been that far off the mark 3 years ago.
