Possibly Thanachart which is 49% Cajun.

What may be just as important is what happens to the Bht.
Yes indeed, why do all currencies plummet except the Baht on American speculative activity? And what is with the credentials of a bernanke and his wall street hos that, knowing they have the world's reserve currency, can spout off indiscriminately at the mouth when it suits them.
Time for the US dollar to be put in the trash bin; try the Swiss Franc as the spearhead of a currency consortium to finally put this financial travesty right.

Included as high fire risk fire traps are, many hotels, small upper floor guesthouses, where rooms have no windows and the only exits are on the floor below, supermarkets, large warehouse type stores, such as Global House and the list goes on.
I'm surprised you've included Global House. One would think that, given a couple of years back a huge fire gutted their entire warehouse, they'd have installed updated fire protection during rebuild. Hmm...

I've had good luck with 3BB for several years now until recently when the problems you mentioned, which hitherto were not occurring, seem to be cropping up sporadically.
Possibly a generalized issue occasioned by, say, the international pipeline?

'Upgrades: The Headlights and tail lights have been upgraded to crystal eyes like the newer model passat as seen in the picture.'
If this is his ad which was added yesterday, he has not even placed pictures of the car itself but instead a 'newer model passat as seen in the picture'.
My advice: 'walk on' as the drinks ad says.

#36 '...specially in Vietnam. Nice hotel rooms for 400 Baht, with excellent service and great breakfast included, where you can get this today in Thailand?'
More to the point...where you can get this today in Vietnam?
Despite the Baht's strength good value at equal prices or less still abound in Thailand.

^ 'No top sheet as they are seldom used here in Thailand.'
Well, it's about high time they started. Absolutely 'gustin.

The system does not seem to work very well.
Can you name one in Thailand that does?
The tax office.
Agree!.
As well, the Hang Dong Government Drivers' Licensing Office across from the airport end of runway. Nice, friendly, helpful people too.

^^ Luther said " Find a bigger space (like right across the road)...."
Great idea, Luther. Not sure if that huge building with the huge parking space is still operating as a restaurant; but when it was, there was little traffic.

MikeyB - 3BB installs a new line with a proper meter+ grounding rod; I like 3BB and seldom have had any downtime yet I've lived in three locations within, with the latest outside the city near Sansai. I use a wireless modem.
BTW, Chiang Dao is a lovely spot. Doubt if they are out that far because the number of customers per line may not be profitable. Established land line then will have to do.

Pray tell deutschman, 'the expert', has not now moved from the financial sectors to trample free opinion here. Say t'aint so Dooly.

Got to admit I have seen a lot of it in the part of Canada I was in.
I think part of it is a generational thing. Kids now I day's to me seem to have less respect.
Possibly, but only for so long. A large blue handicap card must be displayed attached to the rearview mirror. No label... expect a hefty fine including an expensive haul-away.
So today you're from Canada, y'all.
What's with this casual alternate universe - Being American on one posting, Canadian the next. Another Canadian of convenience?
Is it to sneak into the American Embassy 4th July BBQ , 'howt dahgar'? Just wonderin', dude...

Hi,
Try these folks here in CMai:
http://expatautocm.com/services
Q: Can you do an inspection on an outside car I am
thinking about buying?
A: We will only inspect a car from a private seller (no
dealers cars) at a pre-scheduled time. The car will need to be dropped off with
us for 1 day. The cost for this service is 3000 THB and we will give you a list
of recommended repairs within approximately 24-48 hrs (sorry we cannot give an
estimate on repairs as we do not carry the parts on stock). This is not a guarantee
that we will find every problem, but it will give you a baseline to know what
you are looking at.
Q: Do you take in outside repairs?
A: We normally only offer on-going repair services for
vehicles that were previously purchased from us.
Q: Can you take care of the paperwork involved in transferring an
outside car that I am buying or selling?
A: Yes, we can arrange the paperwork and go to the transport
office on your behalf. The cost for this service is 2500 THB + pickup/delivery
if applicable.

Thanks all!! If Global doesn't have the Samsung, then I'll go straight to Siam TV for a Haier, unless someone comes up with a better deal before tomorrow.
Don't ever get anything from Siam TV, the after sales service sucks big time! The AC installer was unprofessional, rude and with poor attitude! I will never ever get anything from Siam TV which is quite a shame as the you will find the store carries almost all of the electrical appliances which you want.
Well...you're in the minority. In fact after sales with Siam TV are superb. Unlike others they don't tell you to send it to Bangkok.
"The AC installer was unprofessional, rude and with poor attitude!" Probably reflecting your attitude. Thais service folk are just not that into 'agro'.

'Its the wife that wants it.....like her man, she heard if its laid properly you can walk on it for years.' You heard wrong as did your crouching admirers.
'Laid properly or not' , you can walk on it - on what's left that is, especially in the high household traffic areas.
Self-adhesive pull-aways leave it tacky in looks too.
Mind you it's your wife's money, after all....

Sriphat is a swarm of activity, where their so-called appointment is meaningless: you join the crowd and wait. Wait is the operative word as the sitting wait times are horrendous. So long in fact that one is likely to come down with a communicable disease as the air conditioning pulses and pumps the stale air throughout the common wait room. Ask when the last time was they really cleaned the venting, let alone the filters.
Other than the common Achilles heel of the wait, Sriphat medical services are just fine.
Two other hospitals you might consider are: Thepanya Hospital at the Super Highway turnoff to Meechok; and Klaimor Hospital just south of Central Airport on the left before Lotus Superstore. Both are clean, with attentive professional staff, plus brochures depicting their medical exam schedules, and reasonable prices.

"Sharing' containers to anywhere these days is fraught with concerns...drugs being the principal fear.
Good luck with that!

#29 'People talk about finding OK places for 3-4000'
Just talk. Do the walk: Let's see the current realty ads, and/or pictures taken yourself.
If these places are habitable-ly cheap, why not let every one know, especially given the current currency crunch?
I really do not fathom the 'it's my/our little secret' mentality ingrained in so many.

True Move Intersim
Been using it for many years always 1 baht per minute
You need to put 00600 in front of the number your calling
but easy enough once you set up your speed dial phone book
Buy these anywhere that sells phone cards & top up as needed
http://www.truemove.com/en/Inter-SIM-Prepay.rails
PS: I never paid the higher rate for supposedly
better quality as the 00600 quality has always been fine to the USA
mania, thanks for suporting for what i alluded to!
So why the allusion... whatz with the games?
Students seriously injured by 'electric shock' at Wakor Science Park
in Thailand News Headlines
Posted
My sympathies to the students, their families and to their, no-doubt 'shocked', teachers. It's a dangerous world.
Now that Pattaya is once again under water I am reminded how years ago I was amazed more people were not electrocuted by wet electrics through hidden circuits and overhead wiring dangling in the flood waters. I know it was concerning enough for me to end my holiday, and considered myself lucky to have escaped alive.
Recently I was at a computer/ electronics 'mega' store where the metal stair railings to the second floor promenade has a large metal fan attached by a metal clamp to the upper railing. The stairs were wide enough for shoppers to not come into contact with the railing. Probably safe, but I was not about to verify.
