The US is playing catch-up with Europe, thanks to all their silly lockdowns, so there are bound to be a few more deaths, mainly among the elderly and vulnerable who, as usual, are not getting the protection they deserve and constitute up to 75 percent of all fatalities.
The article says the deaths are "corona-related", which is shorthand for the fact that they include people who died from a variety of other causes, from cancer to falling off motorbikes or shooting themselves in the head while having the virus in their bloodstream.
The official stats are notoriously unreliable on both sides of the Pond and not least in the UK, where an inquiry into their fantastical nature is even now in progress. Subtract care home deaths and those caused by lockdowns, and the "deadly" pandemic starts to look suspiciously like your average seasonal mild flu epidemic.
As for "pandemic will only get worse", not a jot of evidence is proffered to support this latest example of media fear-mongering. This is because the corporate-controlled media hack who wrote the headline knows it's utter tosh.

It used to be deaths they tried to terrify us with. Now it's cases. Clearly, they are running out of steam as the pandemic runs out of new victims.

If there was going to be a second wave, we presumably would be seeing signs of it now that the schools have reopened.
My teenage daughter and her classmates get only a cursory daily temperature check. She hasn't heard of know of any students being treated for the virus. I've even stopped avoiding her like the plague!
One suspects this "novel" coronavirus has been in Thailand since the back-end of last year, disguised as flu. If so, many of us must have become infected with mild or no symptoms, and acquired immunity - at least for a while.

The virus will run its course, as have its predecessors. Neither lockdowns nor masks will make much difference in the end.
Most people who do not have either natural or acquired immunity will likely get the bug. The vast majority will have only mild or no symptoms and make a full recovery.
The main priority for Victorians should be to protect the physically vulnerable, and in particular the elderly in care homes, a high risk group who account for between half and three quarters of COVID deaths.
The young should get on with their lives and help ensure the economy is strong enough to bounce back when the pandemic has past.
One day, we will look back to 2020 in horror as the year the world went completely off its head.

The so-called pandemic is heading for the exit doors so fast it'll likely be gone long before we get a safe, effective vaccine.
That's bad news for the pharmaceutical companies and their paid political minions pushing to make COVID shots mandatory across the planet.
But it's good news for those of us worried about the dangers of any vaccine rushed to market without proper safeguards - and particularly by corporate giants indemnified against damages claims.
Big Pharma have a hell of a cheek, expecting taxpayers from bankrupt economies like of the UK and 74 other countries to subsidise their redundant snake oil. Tell them, "No way, Jose!"

Flu jabs often don't work and have been implicated in making recipients more susceptible to serious symptoms if they become infected with the COVID virus.

Very sad. But to my knowledge this would be the first recorded case of children so young passing on COVID to an adult. Were any of the youngsters tested for the virus and found to be carriers? The report does not say.
The lady who unfortunately died was 61 and had asthma and "other health issues". Isn't it possible that either she or one of her fellow teachers became infected elsewhere and the virus got passed around the group?

Sweden has fessed up to doing to little to protect its most vulnerable elderly. One only wishes Boris Johnson had the guts to do the same.
But even without lockdowns (out of a healthy respect for civil rights which other nations have failed to display) Sweden has achieved a comparatively lower mortality rate than the UK - without the catastrophic economic and social consequences.
Over half the fatalities attributed to to the UK's deliberately inflated COVID 19 figure are care home residents or locked-down sick people unwilling to access vital hospital treatment for life-threatening conditions.
Subtract these two groups from the UK total and the "deadly pandemic" looks more like a modest coronavirus outbreak - one which caught us unawares after the most innocuous winter flu season for years.

Needless hyperbole. Typically, children who become infected suffer only mild symptoms or none at all. The infection rate is not "spiralling out of control". More testing inevitably produces more positives - or, in many instances, false positives.
