There will be NO travel bubble now or in the near future.
Air Asia shares have been halted as of today and the airline is in financial difficulty.
Forget international travel for the foreseeable future.

The future? Its either Huxley or Orwell. Take your pick. If you don't, "they" will.

Certainly overdue for some positive development on the vaccine front and also hope that if successful, it will be a global sharing response to the production and proliferation devoid of geo-politics brinkmanship and self serving politics.
The last thing we need is another dodgy vaccine rushed to market with without proper safety tests to line Big Pharma's already-bulging, taxpayer-subsidised pockets.
And especially not a groundbreaking RNA based variety, with the potential risk of a dangerous autoimmune reaction, or DNA shots which may permanently change an individual's genetic makeup.
By the time a safe COVID 19 vaccine becomes available, there may well be too many strains of the fast-mutating SARS 2 virus for it to prove anything other than partially effective, and in any case the pandemic itself could well be on its last legs.
For these reasons and the older people most at risk from COVID do not respond well to vaccines, the decision whether or not to have the shots should be at the discretion of the individual, not mandated by government or corporate sources.

You are challenging other people to do the research and find the sources that support your "facts".
No. Do your own d*mned research! And if you won't support what you claim are facts, don't expect people to believe them.
A total reversal of what I said, which was to do their own research (my own is based on months of trawling a huge number of resources and condensing my findings into easily digestible factbites) and challenge me with any which disputes the conclusions I have reached.

Believe what you like.
I'm certainly not going to mollycoddle you by citing the numerous sources of the information I posted. Do your own research and I'm happy to debate facts you come up with which dispute mine.

Same goes for your "clearly" and "deliberately" claims alleging the Democrats are behind it all. Not a shred of support on offer, not even much by way of sound reasoning.
The "hopefully" bit runs counter to pretty much all polls, and ignores that the people participating in them protests are also Americans, are also voters.
If Trump wins the elections, there will only be more of the same - more civil unrest, widening divisions, and toxic, mindless rhetoric on top.
Trump has been under attack from all sides - not least the Establishment and the left-leaning mass media - since the day he walked into the White House. He clearly wasn't the global elite's choice and they have never stopped doing all they possibly can to unseat him.
His stance against the destructive revolutionary forces of Black Lives Matter and Antifa (did you actually bother reading the the BLM mission statement or listen to any of the neo-Marxist twaddle espoused by the movement's leaders?) is in stark contrast to the Democrats' dangerous ploy of piggybacking on the back of a political movement bent on destroying America, the UK and Western democracies in general.

Better look again. Just read about an 87 year old woman in a nursing style home who recovered from Covid only to be reinfected a second time. Her daughter is furious.
Has it been verified? If so, it will be a first. The tests are notoriously unreliable. They often throw up positives for different corona viruses already in the bloodstream,.

Tell me to mind my own business, if you like, but as a Brit I don't see Trump as the source of America's present problems.
In fact, I only wish we had somebody among the lily-livered bunch now running the UK with the cajones to stand up for the values of Western democracies like ours.
It is ludicrous to blame Trump for the current divisions on your side of the Pond. These are being deliberately fomented by his Democrat rivals who are clearly prepared to sell their souls along with your country's core values in their bid for power.
Hopefully the average American citizen has already seen through the phony "equality" campaign of Black Lives Matter and their brutal Antifa bedfellows and realises their real agenda is to destroy the key elements of US society - capitalism, marriage and the family, religion, and democracy itself.
Don't just take my word for it. Go to the BLM website and read the chilling mantra of these deranged neo-Marxists, now being eagerly taken eagerly to the Democrats' bosom. Small wonder even progressive lefty billionaire George Soros has stopped funding their nefarious activities.
Believe me, if Trump is returned to the White House this fall, you will have good reason to thank your lucky stars and stripes.

A few salient facts to counter the ongoing fear-mongering.
1 Face masks are not obligatory in countries which understand the science which says a mask offers little protection against viruses and can cause potentially serious harm to the wearer.
2 The COVID 19 virus is hardly a threat at all to 99.5% of the population, while the average age of death is two to four years longer than the average lifespan.
3 There is not a single verified case of reinfection in the world, which implies that immunity is easily acquired and, so far, sustained. Latest research shows that herd immunity may be achieved when as few as 30 percent of a given population have survived infection
4 There are no vaccines against rapidly evolving coronaviruses like SARS-cov-2, of which there are already more than 100 strains. In any case, if proper, rigorous testing is done, it can take two years to bring a COVID vaccine to market - by which time the present pandemic will be history.

I don't think the economic impact has been anywhere near fully realized in Thailand yet. It will though, sadly.
At least one media outlet seems aware of the damage that has been done.

Monkeys are just the tip of the global iceberg of animal exploitation. Thailand has a lot worse. What about cockfighting, a cruel multi-million dollar "sport" that's still legal? Or elephants, first broken then humiliated by being clad in outsize knickers and forced entertain tourists with phony football games?
And what about all the plight of all those countless thousands of wild animals snatched from their natural habitats and locked away in insanitary, badly run Thai prisons called zoos for the benefit of gawping humans?
I don't even want to imagine what conditions must be like like in Thai slaughterhouses. Just seeing the suffering of pigs and cattle packed like sardines on lorries taking them to meet their maker is more than enough.
Much of the foregoing also applies, of course, to so-called "civilised" Western countries, which claim to love our furry and feathered friends and are home to some of the biggest animal charities in the world. Talk about hypocrisy!

Most of the infected returnees recently have been from Islamic nations where some preachers are convinced the COVID virus has been sent by Allah to punish the infidel.
This unfortunately hasn't prevented nearly 50,000 Kuwaitis becoming infected and Sudan locking down its capital, Khartoum, awash with new cases.
Well done, Thailand, for taking steps against the importation of a possible "second wave".

Good news. Why it took so long to run such a well known high-society madam as Ghislaine to earth has yet to emerge. Hopefully, to save her skin, she will be persuaded to spill the beans on at least some of the powerful and wealthy pedophiles she and her former lover catered for.
Maxwell's publishing tycoon father Robert is believed to have been a double agent, who worked for Mossad as well as UK intelligence services, and we know Epstein had links to US intelligence. The Epstein saga is far more than than the tawdry "sex scandal" depicted by the controlled mass media.
For an idea of the depth of the swamp the millionaire playboy ran and the subreptary creatures he shared it with, I recommend the meticulous work of YouTube blogger Amazing Polly. Her probe into the mysterious Maxwell connection is a good place to start.

Criminal gullibility.
Gullibility is a failure of social intelligence in which a person is easily tricked or manipulated into an ill-advised course of action. It is closely related to credulity, which is the tendency to believe unlikely propositions that are unsupported by evidence. - Wikipedia

As has been reported in numerous articles on the matter, it's almost certainly the case that the numbers of deaths due to CoVid-19 are being way under-reported in India, simply because of the comprehensive under-reporting of all causes of death in India.
According to a BBC article about why India's numbers are so low:
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-india-52435463?promptAssuming the figures for CoVid-19 are subject to the same lack of medical certification as all other deaths in India (and I don't know of any reason why they wouldn't be) then the number of CoVid-19 deaths there is bound to be way, way higher than the official figures.
Nothing would surprise me when playing this numbers game. The entire COVID debate is bedevilled by the lack of reliable data on infections and deaths, resulting from unreliable tests and widely diverging criteria for determining whether an infected individual died OF the virus or simply with it.

Agree with most of that aside from the herd immunity steps, a very long way to go on that and whether it will actually be achieved is highly unlikely unless there is a huge amount of further infections, unfortunately.
"Health officials in South Korea have concluded that the idea of a community forming herd immunity from Covid-19 is "wishful thinking".
The Deputy Director of the Korean Centre for Disease Control (KCDC), Kwon Jun-wook, said the organisation had come to that conclusion after analysing both domestic and international data.
South Korea has started antibody tests in random samples of the population to find out the true infection rate within the country. The serology tests will examine the blood of around 6,000 people to find out who has immunity to the virus. These tests will be conducted every two months and will be completed by the end of the year.
So far, in random blood tests of over 1,500 people, officials found that 0.1% of the samples had anti-bodies for Covid-19."
https://www.bbc.com/news/live/world-53230389/page/4
In describing the increased number of infections among younger Americans as a "helpful step" towards herd immunity, I deliberately did not speculate on how quickly this might be achieved. The reason for my caution was simple: nobody knows.
Experts are divided even on the core question of what percentage of a given population would need to become infected with Sars-COV-2- with some setting the figure at around two thirds and others as high as 90 percent.
The tendency of this virus constantly to mutate is another obvious obstacle to attaining this goal - just as it is to the development of an effective COVID vaccine. We have learned the hard way that seasonal flu shots can lose their efficacy over time.
It seems likely, therefore, that the virus responsible for the current pandemic will to be around, in one form or another, for years and best contained with a combination of partial herd immunity and a safe, properly-tested vaccine

Sorry thought I put the NY Times news link in as well. My mistake, here it is:
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nytimes.com/2020/06/25/us/coronavirus-cases-young-people.amp.html
Thanks for the link. No cause for alarm, I think. As the report points out, because a lot of old people who realise they are the highest-risk group, the virus is migrating to younger folk as they start to mix again. This is a helpful step towards herd immunity so long as numbers can be controlled to avoid strain on hospital facilities.
The other good news for these youthful Americans, and anyone else under pensionable age and in reasonable health, is that the chances of becoming serious ill, let alone dying, from COVID 19 is extremely small. But they should be aware of the danger of spreading the infection to older relatives and friends.

Better look at this Krataiboy, if you did not read it earlier. The biggest age group now coming down with Covid is in the under 40's age range and on top of that the scientists are seeing some new things with Covid.
Wow! Scary stuff. But let's wait until we get the peer-reviewed version in a respectable journal before jumping off the nearest skyscraper.
I wasn't aware that the virus had switched its attention from us golden oldies to the under-40s. Got a link?
(Apologies for my two separate bits at this cherry. I thought my first posting had disappeared into the ether. . . a bit like COVID in Thailand?!!)
