  1. GMMZ what a frigging nightmare of a co. have had the satellite dish and 3 hd.lite boxes set up,but cant get GMMZ.to answer the phone so has to buy a package. the wife has been to 7-11 they couldnt do it,she's at tesco lotus trying to get a months rental on ultr platinum even then you have to get it activated by calling GMMZ.

this is for anyone thinking of purchasing a package from gmmz.i seemed to have found the answer, yesterday i phoned for the first time and pressed the no.for the english speaker BINGO 2seconds and i am talking to a real live person.he got the package all set up and sent an ems for us to pay at 7-11.

i went for the ultra premium.and i couldnt be more pleased.

    NOW FOR SOME STRESS THERAPY.burp.gif

so much for my praises we have been phoning 3times a day since saturday trying to register another box and a package,so much for their promise to call back within 24hrs.

I gave up using the phone with them. Sign up online and use the automated system, it's the only way to buy, renew and pay for packages.

  2. OP Quote "doesn't traffic lights defeat the entire purpose of a roundabout?"

    NO!!!!!!

I have been round this roundabout many many times (bike & car) and never had a problem. The lights work, and drivers respect the red light, and stop for the most part. You still get the odd light jumper, but most drivers expect the unexpected there, and accidents are usually avoided.

However...I have only been round the roundabout in Chewang on Koh Samui several times and almost been t-boned, run off the road, beeped at profusely, and almost hit head on, all by arrogant drivers who don't give way to anybody coming from the right. This roundabout has NO TRAFFIC LIGHTS.

  3. If you have a passport for your truck, (Purple book - 50 bhat from transport office) why not drive it across? So long as you don't mind driving on the wrong side of the road, its not too bad over there. Its only a few extra hundred baht and 5 minutes paperwork. Tuck tucks are difficult to get in some areas and are relatively expensive. Also if you stay at somewhere like the Savan Vegas, you might struggle getting any transport to the consulate, unless they still do the visa runs for guests?.

Last time I went I was on red plates, so I had to pay a few hundred baht to park at the border, and then I jumped on the free bus to the casino. However I ended up walking a long way in the heat to grab a tuck tuck to the consulate, as there were no taxis at the casino to take me anywhere. There was the odd mini bus, but with me being on my own it was not a viable option.

  4. CB300f should still be around 130k new and 5k for 3 years full insurance? After 6 months on one, you probably wouldn't think twice about getting something more powerful, but its a great bike for the money. Not sure how much the 500's are though, as the Honda shops near me only sell 300's and under.

  5. If your dish is big enough (2.3 Meters I think?), you should be able to pick up the BBC and the Australia network for free, and many other channels, with a decent HD satellite box. + its fun to look for new satellites.

I forgot to mention about adding a motor to the dish, which can turn on its own if you program your box correctly.

  6. I am waiting for one of these too. I read it was supposed to be out later this year, but no doubt we will have to order online.

As for the Ebay one, I bought one similar to it for test purposes while I wait, and I have been trying some of the google cardboard apps out. Apart from the low quality, they do give you a sense of what to expect when the 4K oculus rift and apps and are available. Also the 4k res is supposed to stop the nausea that some people get with 1080 VR.

  7. This cough sounds like what I have been fighting all week. I went away last week and a lot of people were coughing their tits up, so as soon as I got home I took a zinc tablet every day, and so far it has not developed in to anything nasty.

The thing to remember about zinc, is that it helps keep the immunity system strong, but it does not stay in the body long as it flushed out, so you have to keep topped up if your fighting germs.

  8. +1 for steam. The sales are good sometimes, and paying in Baht gets you a better price than any other country - from what I have found.

If you have a decent PC you HAVE to get GTAV!!!!

  9. There is a paint/accident repair garage across the road from the Pool table supply shop on the ring road near Taling Ngam. I am not sure of the address, but if you are coming from Nathon (anticlockwise) go past the turning that the buses make when they are going to Raja Ferry (lipa Noi) and about 1/2 KM or more on the left is a Pool table supply shop. Across the road is a very small dirt road that you go down and is full of cars that have been repaired, along with a garage that specialize in crash repairs. Not cheap, but might be worth checking out.

  10. <script type='text/javascript'>window.mod_pagespeed_start = Number(new Date());</script>

    Possibly?

I know there is a small room right in the top right hand corner of the check in floor, that has internet terminals and does printing for a small charge. I am pretty sure they had a photocopier in there too?

From the entrance where taxi drops you off, go right - all the way to the bottom, then turn left and head for the very corner of the airport.

Is that not the post office ?

No, but that may be another place to try and find a photocopier?. It was an internet room tucked in a corner on the departures check in floor (4th floor?) http://suvarnabhumiairport.com/en/124-within-the-terminal shows 4 internet places on the 3rd floor, but none on the 4th floor. Anyway...It was where I was sent to go online and get a visa + print out.
