  1. NGV means Natural Gas Vehicle. They use CNG , Compressed Natural Gas. They cant use LPG , Liquid Petroleum Gas. Different gas , different fittings. NGV,s are cheaper to run per liter / KG of fuel , but they  use 10%/15% more fuel per KM. Money saving will be small and slow. Make sure there is a NGV filing station close to you , and be prepared to queue as filling can be slow. CNG engines run hotter than petrol engines , so ensure your cooling system is in very good order. Petronas sell a specific NGV engine oil.

I remember a time I was looking at the fuel needle going into the red, not a garage anywhere to be seen, we were on hols in The Everglades, Florida, we were bum popping at being stranded, but we eventually found fuel, what a relief.

Now, who wants to go through all that sh_t on a regular basis in an EV........????

And you filled the fuel tank in 1 minute , as opposed to 6 Hours just to "top-up" the battery. Unless you risk a battery life limiting "fast charge". From a non-green electric source socket.

I couldn't find a table when I was looking a few years ago so ended up spending 12.5k on a Clarke CML5...one bonus is that you can scoot it out of the way when not using it

Snap !. About 25 years ago i bought a HTL 500 , from Machine Mart - about 15K now - and bolted a longer top bed onto it. The HTL looks similar to yours , but with a solid flat top tray/bed . The tray needs a edge around its edges to prevent tools and the paddock stands sliding off. I welded a solid tube on , instead of a lip , as the edge of a lip can be sharp if you have to lean on it to work under the bike/quad. The proper bike workbenches can also have front wheel clamps. These are a similar price , more stable but more cumbersome. Not so handy for dirt bikes or quads. I simply unbolt  the 4 bolts and remove the long tray top for this.

My two penn'orth, for what it's worth, re. the front pair of chains:-

2-sprocket set-up - top (small) sprocket is fixed to top crankshaft end and turns lower (large) sprocket to give 1/2 engine speed needed for camshaft drives (assumption since can't count sprocket teeth but  based on different sprocket sizes). Large sprocket isn't attached to anything except the small sprocket - freewheeling on a stub shaft. I'd guess that the shaft end with hex-head bolt, just above the large sprocket is the lower crankshaft end

3-sprocket set-up - lower sprocket is keyed to same shaft as large sprocket and therefore rotates at half engine speed. Chain drives 2 more sprockets of the same size as lower sprocket, so also at half engine speed, which are keyed to the camshafts.

Red arrow is top crank connecting gear. Yellow arrow is meshing point of two crank connecting gears.

I think you are spot on. The rear of the upper crank could also be connected to oil/fuel pump and distributor and starter ( if added). Great engineering. National Motorcycle Museum is just up the road from my house in England.

Surely whomever drew this got their sprockets mixed up at the bottom?

I cant see a gear lining up with the lower crank , so maybe there is a chain connecting the cranks on the rear of the engine.

Italian manufacturer Mondial look to be making a return with this machine .. a 1000 V5 ..

All abit provisional at the moment and we know rising from the ashes is fraught with difficulty as Norton have shown .. but an unusual layout ..

This model was showcased 2 years ago. It could well be a version of Hondas V5 engine. Mondial have used Honda engines in their Piega 1000 model 20 years ago

Difficult to advise without sitting in it. Could even be an ignition/injector fault.

I would take it to Toyota for a test drive and/or get it plugged into their diagnostic thingy.

PS. I thought I had a CVT trans fault, it was playing about when hot, took it to Suzuki, they test drove it and said it was fuel system butterfly (can't think of the name), scratched my head, they unbolted stuff, removed it, took it to the cleaning machine, put it back on, plugged it into the diagnostic thingy to re-adjust it (I heard a few clicks inside the throttle housing) fault cured...350bht.....????

TPS. Throttle position sensor clogged with recycled crankcase vapors.

Honda showed the way and long time ago many events they don't bother or support much anymore..

You like KTM that's fine but there just not my thing.

Its good we have a choice. And our choices are improving every year. KTM have cleaned up in many racing disciplines , including racing in the worlds toughest race , the Paris Dakar , and handed Hondas ass to them on a plate. Honda were pretty good years ago. Bikes such as KTM , and the Italian Benellis and Ducatis arent for everyone. Some people just want a bike to just do the job , just  like a washing machine. No fuss , no drama .

  9. Freddie , do some research.  Benelli are still designed , and many models built , in Pesaro. Thats in Italy. Some of their smaller , cheaper models are then assembled in India , but their big bikes / sports bikes are designed AND built in Pesaro - Italy. In a factory. I was their celebrating their 100th birthday a few years ago. Fantastic bikes. Even in the 20,s they had gear driven multi valve engines.

  10. Yes. Fair point. If you buy any "rare" make of  bike , you will face problems. Some people will deal with these , while others wont. Now some Ducati are built in Thailand , the import tax is no longer a problem. KTM wont invest in Thailand until this import problem is sorted.

  11. KTM now , are as Ducati were 5 years ago. Few dealers , little dealer support , difficult spares situation and overpriced. Ducati moved forward and are now selling very well. KTM are still hit with crazy import taxes so they havent invested in a large dealer network or spares inventory. If you REALLY REALLY want one , be prepared to pay , and suffer difficult/scarce dealers/spares/technical help.

  12. Can you look up some information on the official Toyota website. At 15 years old , id say you cant use without some fuel system modifications. The cost of this wont deem the car scrap , but id try using Shell V-Power only , with a yearly dose of fuel system cleaner and a fuel filter change. Many vehicles are going to face the same problems with Palm oil being added to diesel.
