Prick, hmm but pedantic never.
i for one will miss every insertion you make with the deep thrust of your argument and the grace with which you withdraw.
Hahahahahahaha , I see you're still undecided on the Prick label. Nice response mate cheers ;0)
My pleasure, nice doing business with you and please keep the advice on railways going.

Could one of the factors be what the PM wants and decides ? Just a thought.

<script type='text/javascript'>window.mod_pagespeed_start = Number(new Date());</script>
None of this Makes sense
Three routes are under consideration. The first option is a 217km link outlined along with the existing route. Trains could run at speeds of up to 90km per hour.
New Railway 90kph? May be very rough country , mountainous ect , maybe also not practical for OCS
The second option is similar to the first except that some parts of the 206km route would be adjusted to have more curves in a bid to carry trains at speeds of up to 120kmh.
"More" curves do not increases the speed , I think they mean Bigger/longer curves which do indeed allow a faster speed (Alignment issue)
The third option is a 170km route so trains can travel at up to 160kmh.
Why does 170km route allow trains to travel at 160kph ? Im not disputing 160 isn't a decent speed but what has a 170 km length have to do with it
It's good and helpful that someone with knowledge of railway system weighs in.
For me as a layman i see this as headline grabbing BS, and don't forget they are still deep in it over air safety.
Its a bit like TAT , they tend to give out "Facts" with scant/dubious details in a rush to tell everyone the news.
Sounds like those Railways in the article are feasible and practical more so than Tourist resort High speed Railways and even the 720km Monster from Nong Kai to Bangkok.
I'm back to work soon so I'll have less time to be a pedantic prick on here

A former head of the military must know about delegation which is inherent in a command role but the PM takes so much on, doesn't he trust his own handpicked people ?
When a wheel comes off will he do a YL, i never attended any meetings so not my fault ?

Very convenient and so much for Absolute Control, unless you choose not to exercise it of course and need a decent excuse as to why.
No chances to be taken with all these proposals for the new constitution and that includes letting the people have their say.
It doesn't matter who is in power here they want a stranglehold on it.

I sincerely feel sorry for the Thai people, especially anyone working for 300 baht/day. Prices everywhere are going up, especially food, so I just don't know how they survive. Here in Canada, one could say the minimum wage is very good compared to Thailand, but if you don't own your own house or condo fully, rent and heat costs alone could almost take away all your months wages. Many people here are in the same situation in that they owe a lot of money to the banks. On top of that Winters are very long and there is no beach or sunshine to cheer you up.
Thai minimum wage workers are no different to other countries minimum wage workers.
The only difference is a large number of minimum wage workers in other countries take a second job to earn more, while in Thailand, its hard to get them to do OT let alone work on day off with extra pay.
Anyone with friends who run a business will tell you how hard it is to hire and KEEP younger staff.
An acquaintance has a small office, pays a good salary, gives generous paid holidays and regularly treats the staff to a buffet or night out but he cannot keep staff and the attitude is mind boggling eg need a rest, work too hard and even no television to watch when nothing to do !

Wonder how much they paid the kid. What's the (negotiable) cost of a life here?
Less in Florida.
A Florida man accused of stabbing his friend says he did it because the victim wouldn't split the last can of beer. (second degree murder)
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/05/15/daniel-trent-killed-man-over-beer_n_5331807.html
Huge difference between two drunken idiots fighting over a tin of beer {the 42nd one they had consumed between them in the drinking session} and arranging the murder of a man because of your inability to pay your debts.
Neither is justifiable or any less deserving of punishment.
We are all responsible for our actions.
However, for me anyway, the cold and calculating manner of these women is worse, much worse.
Cold and calculating sums it up and that in itself is chilling.

A death is sad and here come the conspiracy theories.
"Business conflict was suspected to be the motive of the murder."
That's the first one.
I've got my check list ready

The theories are warranted when a sniper rifle is used.A death is sad and here come the conspiracy theories.
The BIB are gathering evidence and questioning witnesses some of who appear to be their own.
What happened to the usual immediate the motive could be..., or ..., perhaps ..., maybe ... ?

No please No. I'm getting old and my heart can't take it.
How will they pass on this new found knowledge, on their Line app or will they be producing KO MiCS ?

This brings back scary memories of a friend, no longer in LoS, whose gf tried to negotiate the murder of a man who was threatening her mother over a large unpaid debt.
My pal said the gf, but not for long thereafter, was so calm and matter of fact when she told him she was trying to find people to help her and she couldn't understand why he couldn't understand it was the ' only way '.
In a much less serious situation I've known Thais who borrow, don't try to pay back and get very upset when expected to do so.

Another website carries a story with the headline that the PM begs for mercy then later the word sympathy is used.
The PM is quoted as saying LoS has been wrong about this for a long time so now it's up to the EU to show mercy which translates as we've done b....r all until now when our backs are to the wall. Standard Operating Procedure for LoS.
Wow, the Big D having to beg / plead !

' Way to go LoS. The ICAO have supposedly warned Thailand to be better prepared for the 2016 audit but this year's still in quite a mess.
The ' alright on the night ' attitude backfires all too often but nobody learns it seems. Air safety is under serious scrutiny as is fishing and warnings issued but LoS rolls along as if no one would ever take action against them.
Bans and loss of revenue is the only thing they will understand but it will still be everybody else's fault anyway.

Another Thai version of what someone else is supposed to have said which has become common practice.
This morning the BP website had a report that the ICPO had warned LoS to be properly prepared for the 2016 audit but we'll see about that when the time comes.

My landlady's sister, with a good education, ended up in serious financial difficulty including with loan sharks which had her hiding out in Bkk for a couple of years. She wanted to invest in a risky business and was warned off by everybody including me but it wasn't what she wanted to hear as the Baht signs in her eyes won and she lost out big time.
