Sir, fear not. We have TWO magnificent candidates who will do everything in their considerable power to ensure fair play this year.
We only need 5 more like minded members and Hollywood could make a movie about us !

Drafters to revise points in bill.
Is that another way of saying potential loopholes not to the advantage of the junta and the elite are to be closed ?
-
Don't use ghostly stickers only ones advertising beer that's approved by the national police chief and his boys will give you a free pass, and a salute.

People flocking here to ' enjoy ' what may be the quietest, possibly most boring, New Year on record ?
i may be very wrong but so far I haven't read anything about the Seven Dangerous Days and ' all ' the authorities will be doing to reduce road casualties etc.
Have the 7 DD been cancelled too ?
-
What's worse, having to pay all that tax and the fines or losing face having been caught lying ?

Stop talking everyone as I'm the only one permitted to say stupid things in public !
Look at the last sentence in the story above, what a great excuse for feet dragging if not burying this.
Can't have conflict amongst Buddhists.

You're damn right it is. Ladies and gentlemen, respected comrades, you finally have the chance to vote for not one, but TWO of Thaivisa's finest. Myself, the summit of human thought AND the one, the only sensational NongKhaiKid. You, yes you, NEED to do this in the name of a fairer and more equitable world. For truth, Freedom and Justice. For your children and your children's children.
Let us begin the work of not only a better Thaivisa but for the advancement of the entire globe. Ignore the charlatans and the demagogues; VOTE Baboon, VOTE sensational NongKhaiKid TODAY!
My fellow Forumanians, the choice is yours so do not leave it in the hands of moderation as our private investigators have proof none of them were born in Hawaii.

My goodness, aren't you a regular Donald Trump? The elections are RIGGED!
You can rest assured, there will be no attempt to fiddle with the outcome. This thread is for the members to decide who they think deserves to be Poster of the Year.
Maybe the election isn't rigged but as was once said about Chinese elections they do like to know the outcome in advance.
Q. Who amongst you will cast the first stone ?
A. They're lining up !

I just got a glimpse of Tom Cruise in a black SUV entering the compound.
Yes and when Steven Seagal turns up that completes the box set.

A Mexican standoff
At last, a foreigner to blame and even better if he / she works for the BBC.

I'd say so, cutting hair without the parents' permission is an assault but oh so common here and depending on the location and the school the teachers get away with it because they're teachers and that puts them above ordinary people.

It would be best if the police were to just say nothing at all for a few weeks. Every time they open their mouth they look silly.
Great situation isn't it as they paint themselves into an even smaller corner.
In traditional fashion they just have to speak out to make it seem as if they're on top of things etc and as soon as they open their mouths they shoot themselves in both feet !

I'm intrigued by this definitive figure of 300 ogres, hope one wasn't Shrek, but was it 300 independent entities or this being Thailand was it 1 ogre with 299 family members, friends, cronies and general hangers on ?

I'm amazed that this meeting was not banned or broken up by the Thought Police.
Was it held in Thailand?!
They know where the participants live and work, where their children go to school etc. !

Nice try but have they forgotten who is running the country ?

What do these forensic units have to prepare, how many months do they need to find the car keys? Not sure how they operate in Thailand but forensic/crime scene units in Australia can hit the road at the drop of a hat. They are always prepared with vehicles and equipment ready at all times to deal with what ever incident may arise.
I'd suggest that if it wasn't because of the current situation we'd be assured that this unit, like all others, is at peak readiness at all times and available at a moment's notice etc etc.
However another excuse is needed so ' lack of preparedness ' is trotted out without any thought as to how ridiculous and insulting it sounds but probably genuinely reflects what the BIB is all about.

I suppose we can rest assured that every pardon is in accordance with the laid down criteria and there's absolutely no other considerations or outside influences at work ?
Why is this being used in praise of the new king as royal pardons are a regular feature no matter who is on the throne ?
-
Another weak excuse which simply amplifies the fact the authorities are prepared to say anything and do anything to avoid doing their job.
Are the seven companies of BIB and support units, other than forensic science of course, still on standby and if so for what, an operation that will never take place or is all the ' standby ' nonsense just more BS ?
It's a disgrace the deputy national police chief admits to a ' lack of preparedness ' but it's probably not an excuse just a statement of fact as why should they prepare for something they'll never be called on to carry out ?

<deleted>. Obviously evil forces.
Curious to know how they verified that the phee pop were really captured? The ghostbuster said so? Nobody dropped dead that day?
What happens if another villager dies for "no apparent reason" in the near (or even distant) future? Do they get their 50 baht back?
New set of ogres, new ceremony , new set of fees ?

Since the military isn't an ' independent ' organization nothing applies to them so does this mean they can hold coups whenever it suits and then grant themselves immunity for from everything ranging from holding the coup to exemption from corruption investigations ?

Beautiful. It is incongruous how he could ethically receive those payments given his role.
All public officials should have to declare alternate revenue sources.
Now wouldn't that open quite a can of worms.
Public officials shouldn't be allowed to have other sources of income except with prior approval which should not be given lightly or simply on ' the nod '.
However having said this I'm sure nothing will change because it would affect too many important people and especially those who can make the decision to stop this sort of thing.

Thats a good idea. Chalerm will know exactly where all the stolen money is and every person involved in this monumental theft.
The only problem is for various reasons he wont be able to say, as usual.
Maybe if he was called in as a consultant he could sit down with the abbot and sort it over a glass or two of ear medicine.
