He might have been re-elected but how long is it going to last ?

It would appear that Corbyn is trying to single handedly destroy the Labour Party. Disregarding the wishes of the electorate is not the brightest of ideas.
Labour for Government
When elected for the first time the vote was announced in the morning but no celebrations etc he ' disappeared ' only to re-surface in the afternoon at a rally in support of Syrian migrants and demanding more be taken in.
His message was loud and clear then !

The question is does anyone in Thailand trust the Justice system,,,,,,,,,
I'm sure there's a select bunch of people that do as they feel safe in the knowledge that the ' system ' will take care of them when necessary.

That is exactly why I very much doubt that there will be any elections, in any meaningful sense.
This government will not end as a result of an election...
Here's a thought, the PM sets up his own political party and transfers all his current powers to himself and his new ' civilian ' govt so see, the military aren't running the country.
Elections, well those can be held whenever the country is ready.
-
Let's slip into the Twilight Zone for a moment and imagine elections actually happen and a certain party takes power, do members of the junta ever think about it being payback time as their self-imposed amnesty is overturned ?
Perhaps of course they feel sure their pals in the military will not allow them to have to face any reckoning and the merry-go-round starts all over again.

Exactly, Hong Kong should apologise to the ladies. Bigoted Asia it's time to grow up, especially Burma. Out with the old and in with the new. My image is of 3 lovely girls in Burma who daily have to put up with bigoted, offensive comments.
"I am what I am."
There's no pretending.
Why should HK apologize, what exactly for ?
Immigration officials everywhere have the right to refuse entry to their country and it's common for young women to be refused landing because the authorities don't believe the claimed purpose of visit.
Transgenders were refused and it suddenly becomes a major issue. I wonder how many other people were denied entry that day ?

Missing out on an extra holiday ? Where's the usual blurb about increasing domestic tourism and increased spending to benefit the economy ?
-
He will not give EXTRA help to his brother !
No need to help or interfere any further as I'd think the result of any sham investigation has already been decided.
Hard to imagine the NACC would have the balls to declare there's a case against Preecha and try to carry it forward.

So often we get reports of "officials" being shunted to inactive posts, or relieved pending investigations. But, we seldom read reports of any of these people being convicted.
It's sort of like all the arrest warrants that are issued for suspected bombers and the like, but we never get to see any prosecutions.
At least, this report does include one outcome - Sansern Kaewkamnerd (the junta spokesman) is appointed the acting director-general of the Public Relations Department - definitely a merit selection!
Yes, it's a bit early for some posters to be doing a lap of honour.
Let's wait to see how many of the 72 actually appear in court or are dismissed, that's if we ever hear anything again.

“did not satisfy the purpose of their holiday” .... I suspect this is because the vast majority of ladyboys travelling to other countries are doing so to engage in sex work. I would like to know the particulars of this case. For example, I've seen people asked to prove they have enough money to support themselves for the duration of their stay. Upon not being able to show it, they are refused entry. Things such as having the correct visa, proof of hotel bookings and onward travel are also common requirements.
I lived in HK from the ' 70s to the '90s and in respect of women anyway there was a regular range war between HK - Philippines - Thailand where thye took turns in denying young women entry on a tit for tat basis.
As for HK the ' reason ' was Immigration didn't believe the visitors were there for shopping and sightseeing but rather a profitable 14 day stay.

Yes old timer you have finally figured the process out. I wonder if the pages of corruption from a couple years back will be in there to. You know the ones that were promised to be speedily processed at the time. I guess time really does stand still in Thailand.
Od timer ? See you Jimmy, you ur claimed !

They voted for this for a reason. They didn't want to go back to what happened under the previous government. It's the least "worst" choice. Sadly...
Unfortunately since the referendum vote the junta has proposed laws that were never mentioned in the referendum explanations but are ' justified ' by the vote.
Did people really know what they were voting for ?

The only thing that should be unveiled is a No Entry Return Home policy or assistance to get to countries where their Muslim' brothers and sisters ' should be taking care of them as per the propaganda.
Many countries are doing their best but so many others want nothing to do with the problem for various reasons.
The Saudis of course are happy to build mosques free of charge.

Things are manageable until put to the test and then ... !

I hope the powers that be understand China doesn't muck around, they don't bother with travel advisories just ban people from going to certain destinations.
Last year they clamped down on people going to Macao as part of the ' war on corruption ' and a few months ago the Chief Executive of Hong Kong warned Hong Kongers to be nicer to mainland visitors otherwise the authorities there would simply reduce the number of tourists crossing the border.

I wonder if they also use Fast Track and Back Burner ?

It's good the locals appreciate his efforts so let's hope the local authorities do as well because if any officials get their knickers in a twist ... !

Sorted and all because of Thailand's Khon Do attitude !
Sorry.

Handling of cases will be accelerated !
Does this mean that for some the file will be marked ' No Proceedings ' even faster than usual while others will be railroaded at the double ?

just goes to show a directive from the good general can be ignored
He was not only a military man he was the top of the shop yet he apparently accepts his orders being willfully disobeyed.

I think a quick farting or burping contest at the start would lighten things up a little. Already the audience has been told what not to do. I'm not really a big fan of either of these two and can't believe the USA has this left at the end to vote for. I am embarrassed a bit to be American today but...... Bring it on!
A very nice American who is a regular in our local has expressed the very same sentiments about embarrassment that such a big, important country with a very large population can only produce these two as candidates for the most powerful office in the world.

After a second of agonizing over the decision I've decided, in the words of an old song ' It's a Must To Avoid '.

I once had a student called Rat so I explained I couldn't possibly call her that but she expected it because she was the executive secretary in the F & B dept of a major hotel and worked for a European boss who said the same thing.
It was good that she understood there was no problem for Thais but not the same for foreigners although I was uncomfortable as she was the only one in the class i didn't call by nickname and it seemed I was treating her differently but she wasn't in the least bit fazed.

Isn't it amazing how many, in every religion, who complain about things not being right are less than perfect practitioners themselves ?

Somewhere in all of this will be the ' what have we done wrong ? ' attitude because people like this have a total sense of entitlement.
