Are we being asked to believe YL thought this up all on her own ? Sorry doesn't work for me.
Consider the complete arrogance being suggested, imagine Mr. T being invited to participate in the reconciliation process and how on Skype ? Reconciliation is in the bin because of him and his control over a puppet government.

Let'snot worry about political conflict as it has a positive effect on tourism. The Minister of Tourism and Sports has announced that in the first four days of this month tourist arrivals were up 35% over the same period last year and he's confident continued conflict will have no effect on tourist numbers.
Joef Goebbels had nothing on TAT

What a change in terminology, yesterday they had been sacked, expelled from the civil service, shot at dawn and then hanged, drawn and quartered.
Today the boss is " planning " to dismiss them but had he said something about disciplinary proceedings and if found guilty could face dismissal I might be more inclined to go with it.
How much is poor journalism, bad translation or just BS for public consumption because of embarrassment ?
Even worse, an Udon Thani red shirt leader was photographed near Government House wearing Udon Thani Provincial Police uniform. Now just where will that go ?

I look forward to seeing Jatuporn arrested for crying "coup" hundreds of times.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
Nice thought but BIB are only carrying out the instructions of their political and maybe spiritual masters and that will never include arresting anyone too close to home unless they really fall out of favour.

Lovely, accurate but futile words especially the last paragraph. Imagine this government " creating harmony " and the suggestion of punishment with the proper administration of justice must be in a Thailand sitting in a parallel universe which isn't wholly owned by a certain family.

So they played a game - big deal.
Yes it is a big deal, because when ordinary Thai people play the same game, these very same policemen come and put them in jail.
Agreed with a slight qualification, as usual here you only get done if you are a nobody but it's ok for ordinary Thais to play in protected casinos.
Easy to lock up a nobody as they can't pay and are not connected so no one one gets on the cops backs for what they've done.

What's hi-lo?
If it's the same as in Macau casinos where it's called Daai - Sai it needs 3 dice and a sheet with number combinations to forecast what total number with come up. In Macau the dice are placed on a pad and covered with a cup which is then shaken by mechanical means and the dice then exposed.

Oh boy. Pretty dumb to gamble in public in this day and age of smartphones.
Presumably it was a colleague who took the happy snap and uploaded it. He'll be popular

Maybe they thought it would be irresponsible to drink on duty.

Hahaha that was fast!
Well done!
Fast indeed but if we consider this a relatively minor offence why don't they move at such speed to sort out the serious stuff ?
Stuck in somebody's " TOO HARD " tray I suppose.

We are heading towards dark times. You better believe that PTP would love nothing bette than full censorship. And when papa gets back into town and rounds up the old amart to install the new ones, nobody will be safe.
Yes if ever gets back there's a lot of people who would be advised to head for the hills IF they can and since he knows all about taking flight I'm sure he'll do all he can to prevent them until he wreaks revenge.
Those who get out will find that unlike him where 2 governments have been in no mood to hunt, he will.

Most would say this is hard to believe but the way things are these days it's eminently believable and is the top of a very slippery slope.
PTP are making it clear they will go to any lengths to have full control and get their way.
I sincerely hope the opposition rallies are orderly because if not it will give the government excuses for more control, not that they need them but it looks good, and for the red to hit the streets to " protect " them.
Two of the four facing these possible charges are red shirts btw. This is a weird one as though I definitely don't think PT are friends of free speech, I just don't see how having people arrested for discussing a potential coup benefits them. As has been pointed out, it's usually their people that bring up coup rumours anyway.
Edit: One plausible reason might be that the government thinks that more people will protest against them if the coup rumours are strong enough. Might just be for show. If that's the case, it's pretty dumb - if anything it highlights the coup issue more and makes the government look insecure.
Is there a chance the reds involved in this are being reminded there's a party line and they need to toe it ?
I'm sure lots of coup suggestions will fire up the reds without having to be told to be ready to act but this government is stupid enough to tie itself in knots as I don't see them as masters of intrigue. Mind you they do seem to operate in the belief they can get away with anything.

Oh dam_n...it is lacking the PAD-spirit?
And I was looking forward to some nice sit-in's at the airport(s)!
...and-of course- the TAT- announcement, that 7 days of chaos at Swampy and DMK had no ifluence on the number of expected tourists!
Tourists are flocking to Thailand to see the airport sit-in"s

Really can't see much happening here with the massive police presence and the ISA in place.....
PT will push no doubt ahead regardless.....unleaa of course the bill is withdrawn at the last minute......then there would be fury from abroad!!
OR nearer to home if the man is actually on Koh Chang.

Less exciting than 5 years ago but we know what can happen when rallies do get excited as in 2010.
As this is the opposition someone should warn security at Swampy that they might be getting some " visitors " since things are too dull.

Another delay and the alleged wrong doing is now around 10 years old.
The wheels of justice supposedly grind slowly but in LoS most of the time they don't even grind.

It may be the wrong message but it's a very Thai message.
Thinking things through isn't a national trait so as soon as politicians hear or see something they don't like they go off half cocked make threats, file lawsuits and all the other playground stuff.
Add to the mix this governments attitude that free speech is only what they say it is.

Perhaps tanks and army did move around for a good reason and not just because they had to
It may be nothing but the footage I saw of the movements they were not using transporters.

The mandatory war room has been set up of course but there's an interesting article in the other paper where the People's Army claim the real war room is on Koh Chang and Mr. T himself is in command.
The PA say a private plane arrived in secrecy at Trat and a VIP, under heavy security, was taken by speedboat to the island.
I know Thailand is the hub of wild and exaggerated claim but why not ?

More DSI summonses for Abhisit ? I wonder if they will move with the same lack of purpose as with the luxury car scam and the fugitive ex-monk ?

As I understand the series will not be axed but the scripts have to be watered down to reflect correct Thainess not necessarily reality so that students who are doing what they do in real life at high school don't go home and get the wrong idea from a television show.
Only in Thailand !

Where we come from Blether a case in the High Court has to start within 80 days of being charged, it used to be concluded within 80 days until a clerical error allowed two armed robbers to walk so the procedure was amended,
