  1. So I guess the lesson here is, do not interfere in another's scam and move people to inactive posts against their will. Arrested for assaultcheesy.gif what a joke how about conduct endangering life or even attempted murder? Guess he will now get his choice of inactive posts so as not to upset him further.

Exactly, spraying a room with an M16 is a little more serious than assault and I'm presuming the firearm was held illegally.

The spokesman called it a war weapon and was discharged without sound reason but he was pissed off, isn't that a sound reason in Thailand ?

  2. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, director of TAT's marketing information-technology group, said the agency's aim was to turn the country into a premium brand, and to upgrade it from a value-for-money destination into a 2014 luxury destination for worldwide travellers and Internet users.

After reading this line, the only image that I have, is a bunch of Chinese and Russian tourist at the crocodile farm wondering why all the crocks have dinner jackets on. Other than that I am not sue what, if any thing, the TAT is going to do so drastically change, the rather filthy, 3rd world exotic into premium and luxury.

keep showing photos of pristine beaches in the Philippines, giving out carrier bags with a logo of a near extinct cat and uttering complete crap as advertising. The high end idiot market will flock here

  3. BANGKOK, Aug 15 Thai Airways International (THAI) suffered a net loss of Bt8.439 billion in the second quarter of this year, mainly due to the volatile Thai currency early this year, president Sorajak Kasemsuvan said today.

"You nasty nasty currency, you nasty nasty economy, it's your fault that our business doesn't profit!!!!"

THAI Airways, stop saving face and respond to the changing trends of customers.

And free 1st class flights for those and such as those

  4. It doesn't matter if it is here or anywhere all the legislation in the world is only as good as enforcement and that's something that Thailand isn't good at doing.

Police officers in soft caps riding motorcycles the wrong way in a one way street then stopping others for no helmets jumps to mind. If the basics don't apply the serious stuff won't either because there's too much money involved and payable for the Nelsonian blind eye.

  5. Funny how the money and plaudits flows in after someone wins.

    Before that, fend for yourself

At one point James Wattana, the snooker player, was supported by the Thai Snooker Association or whatever it's called and i think it was around B40,000 a month but this was years ago. His form dipped and he was told to win or else ! Everyone loves a winner.

I used to have neighbour who bought a new football shirt every year and it depended on who won the English Premiership, of course he was always a " life long " fan.

  6. BANGKOK: -- Foreign Minister Surapong Tovichakchaikul, who is also deputy PM, said on Tuesday that the special talks with high-profile international statesmen and experts scheduled for September 2 is not related to the government-proposed political reform forum.

Is this something new, a backtrack, sidetrack or what?

Or is it because no one would come to the previous thing they proposed?

The event, to be held in Bangkok, will be inaugurated with an opening speech by Yingluck herself. Former British PM Tony Blair is among the high-profile speakers invited.

By Yingluck HERSELF, wow so it wont clash with her trip to Pakistan.

Former British PM Tony Blair is among the high-profile speakers invited. paid to speak.

He will flash that insincere grin, say what's expected, collect his cheque and forget the whole thing. Hope he thanks YL 3 times for inviting him
