  1. Processing rules:

    • - Minor PP only.
    • - No HDR
    • - No borders or other effects(E.G. Vigenettes)

perhaps one of these was the reason, it looks like it could be suspected of hdr or PP.

Unfortunately your posted image is far to small to make any real assumptions on the images actual quality,

    Edit:

Despite the fact that the rules clearly state NO HDR, you have submitted the photo to no less than 4 HDR challenges on the same site. Disqualification should not come as a surprise.

  2. The only reports here are of very quick checks and "thank you, sir". Haven't seen a single one where any money changed hands.

    Have I missed something?

i know i fellow who was caught with a little bag o' nonsense -- 20k, and "thank you sir"

naturally money only changes hands if you are nicked.

I also believe their profile does not include octegenarians

  3. Why not, burger king is similar, KFC bears a resembalnce, Mcdonalds is much the same.

They opened a White Spot here that had me back in Canada growing up with every bite.

I can go to the german on soi 11 and get an very decent schnitzel.

Why should we not expect Dominos to have even one or two choices on their menu that vaguely approximate the product that the brand is based on?

And in my experience with Dominos, it wasn't any better than the available corporate pizzas

  4. Here's an example of a young film maker in Thailand that I really liked.

I just liked the whole thing, especially the sound and music.

You might get something from it.

    spooky shit that.

i have to say, it is pretty close to how i 'feel' Pattaya, though grossly amplifed.

  5. Well, don't flatter yourself, or your boyfriend too much, about being more good looking than some other white skin people.

To Thais, we all look the same.

They DO NOT view, what we would view as a good looking guy in the west better looking than the average white skinned person. They do VERY SELDOM make any difference.

Lol, how do I know you spend your time in bars. Correct, to bargirls looks matter very little. However, regular Thais can easily tell if a farang is good looking or not and if you're actually just a bit above the average, they'll likely think you to be very attractive because of the added exotic factor. A good looking farang male/female will easily gain 1 or 2 points from this alone. Exactly as how many farang men when they first get here think that average looking Isaan women are very attractive.

"... gain 1 or 2 points..." What on earth are we talking about here? What are these points for? Do they have any cash value? Are they inflation indexed?

Now that we have been admonished for bashing those terrible, scary, white feminists 'in the west', we have turned our myopia inwards to trash the Isaan Princess and those that prefer them. My, how utterly, utterly predictable.

My, how utterly, utterly unable to read you are.

  6. Interesting topic, Im going to have a son in 3 months with my thai gf.

Im french but my mum is english witch makes me almost bilingual. I speak thai with my gf now but when my son will be here I will try to only stick to my language.....was thinking of english then changed my mind because my most natural language is french. Now im not sure if I should speak english or french to my son. I wish I could do both but wouldnt it be confusing if we also add thai..

    Not confusing at all.

Speak to him in whatever language you feel like, but don't water any of it down. It could be interesting to send him to a French school as French speakers are harder to find than English speakers in Thailand.

For the first few years of my life I understood and absorbed everything that my father said to me in English, but I refused to speak it. Apparently he was starting to get concerned about this so I was enrolled into Bangkok Patana School at the age of 3+ and according to sources who remember the English just jumped out of my mouth. I think I must have thought "ohhhh so this is where is where they keep all the other people who talk like that". It was already there in my brain.

multi lingual kids tend to begin truly speaking later in life.

my daughter was about 3 when fully formed sentences started falling out of her mouth in both english and thai. I remember she used to just sit and watch people talking for hours.

once they get them straight in their heads there is no stopping the flow however

  7. my daughter ( now 3 years old, 4 in april ) spoke fluent thai and english at around 2.4 years old biggrin.png they pick it up pretty easilly. i know 1 thai kid ( 10 years old ) learnt perfect english in about 1 year. another kid spoke a little english before she came to uk but after 1 year she had a very broad local accent, i remember being shocked at this because she had only been in uk 1 year, amazing

I'm sorry but no child is fluent in any language by 2.4 and nobody learns perfect English within 1 year. I'm sure they are both competent for their ages but that's not the same as being fluent or perfect in a language.

ok i stand corrected, maybe not fluent at just over 2 years old but certainly very very good english and thai , i remember a swedish kid ( 4 years old ) was standing next to my daughter in a hotel and he was just learning to speak thai and wasnt speaking thai on the level my daughter was, i remember all the hotel staff were amazed at how well our child could speak both languages being so young, i have just asked my wife sitting beside me that someone on internet not believe me that our kid speak good english and thai when she was only 2 years old , wife replies " ok when him not believe tell him come look and test himself " haha ..clap2.gif

    whats not to believe?

how could the child possibly fail with such excellent language models.

  8. We both live in Thailand.

Somtampet - its my boyfriend that brought it up, not me. So its not in my mind. But yes, the "looks" is my perspective, but ive had Thai friends laugh about it saying the girls dont like the pretty farang girls and to just ignore them. Which i do! People should be judged not just on looks alone. If a girl is so shallow that she wont be nice to me because she thinks im too much competition, its very sad, and wouldnt want to know them anyway.

kblaze - Im not worried about him straying. I dated Thai before and he dated a lot of Thai before. He had a Thai gf for two year then dated/slept around and lost interest. He says he didnt find enough substance..in his experience. Hes the one who persued me relentlessly. Anyway, personally feel good about myself, so not concerned or threatened. Girls like him, guys like me, but we like each other, so if either of us fk's up, it would be a real loss to us both. People with brains try not to mess with a good thing..lol.

keep telling yourself that mate, just make sure you don't lose your wallet

  9. I think as soon as the little trainer wheels come off

it is called a Big Bike smile.png

    training-wheels.jpg

    Priceless! That is funny!

In the U.S. 750 & up 400-750 cc would be a medium size. 250 a definite starter bike. In the U.S. th majority of bikes you see on the freeways are full liter & up.

In Thailand 1000 & up is just overkill Or at least in Pattaya area, You just cant open it up to 260 KPH without seeing your life flash behind your brainbucket as a soi dog pedestrian or the usual idiot decides to walk in front of your bike as you move into the next plane of non-existance.

whereas you are able to do that legally anywhere in the states?

  10. OK, since sup3rior hasn't gotten back to the forum yet & since his experience is of interest to many here I'll say a little about his bike as I saw it. I hope he doesn't mind & I hope he comes on soon to give a fuller report.

    <snip> ............................................................................edited for brevity ..................................................................... <snip>

Sup3rior joined me for a short ride up Doi Suthep after we left the shop. His bike seemed to perform just fine. From his riding, from his comments on the bike and from his own admission, it is clear that he is not experienced with "big bikes". I am fully willing to accept that his bike had some real cosmetic issues surrounding the fairings, etc. But when it came to the other things, I think much of his anxiety was a result of inexperience, over-sensitivity & misinterpretation.

Sorry if my take on all this is coming across too harshly. I don't mean to put down sup3rior so much as to allay the worries of others who are thinking about buying, or have put deposits down on, the new Honda 500s. As I mentioned before, so far I have no real complaints about my bike. In fact, I could be happier. I hope sup3rior finds some of that happiness too.

would seem the lad has nothing to add. Perhaps he was displeased to be informed it was all in his head.
