Very interesting… I ordered my monthly 65,100thb from the UK at exactly 7:33am (thai time) today. Paid via bank transfer from our joint RBS account to the WISE account within the next five minutes.
I just see that it made its way into my BB a/c at 14:04hrs… International funds transfer….

I renewed my license a few months ago at Nonthaburi…used yellow book and Pink Card.
My license has the Pink Card number on it rather than passport number!!!

I thought I read it was something to do with the Wind Farms and over protection.
Anyhow, Australia exports it's pollution along with it's coal.
Yes…the information that I had from my son, and I’ve also read a bit, named six factors. Initial cause was severe weather damaging plant. He is part of a team looking into the non synchronous generation problem.

Why can,t you change it to any driver.?
Yes…basically the way forward.
‘Strangely’ a lady from Roojai phoned me…. Outcome is that policy will be changed to any driver over thirty years old and MrsJ as named driver…she uses it more than me anyway.
I’m fine with that…renewal price basically same as even last year has 50% NCB.
win win

I agree, looks promising, for Southern Australia: having a huge power outage in 2016 taught them some lessons.
Australia has a big problem with not enough synchronous plant…ie rotating plant generation. But that was not the cause of the 2016 blackout.

Well my wife sold her LPG car a couple of months ago and that problem never came up.

I received the following in an e-mail from Roojai about three weeks ago
.
Dear *******
We wish to inform you that your coverage will expire on 14th January 2022. We will not be able to renew your policy. Thank you for being a Roojai.com customer.
Any questions call 02 582 8866
Followed up by a letter saying the same a few days later.
So called Roojai and spoke to a guy called Rattichai. Initially he had no idea why the cancellation, but later came back and said that I am Driver #1 on the policy … driving is restricted to myself and my wife as we always do … and as I will be seventy six years old at renewal, that is the reason.
I did ask if there is a way around this and he said he would ask the underwriters … haven’t heard anything since.
I only changed the policy over to Roojai last year, now regretting doing that obviously. The vehicle insured is a 2015 Ford Everest, owned from new and there has never been a claim.
I’m not sure of a way forward on this situation, any ideas appreciated. Having insurance refused will not go down well with any other company.
So fortunate that I didn’t give them our other car last year, which I was contemplating doing this year

ALL FALSE ... as 1 comment points out: "That’s definitely not an explosion. There are no burn marks or any melted parts. It literally looks like the tesla was cut in half by a strong force probably the mustang."
I've punctured Lipo (old fully charged) batteries just for the hell of it, and there would be extensive burn damage is the car battery exploded.
Actually hit hard enough to split the car in half, and battery posed NO DANGER to anyone .... AMAZING.
O OK so not a battery explosion in your view. Certainly bits scattered over a wide range.
Company share price has taken a bit of a hammering today. And yesterday.

I have an Irontec Viva V4. About three months now. It hasn’t broken down yet.
The treadmill is never flat but you could chock it up to be.
It was 16500thb and I’m paying over six months.
Like many the built in pulse rate from you hands isn’t too reliable. You really need a belt. Also I only walk on it.

My home bank account will charge a very small fee (less than 8 Euros), let me know how much was the exchange rate and done. I check my Thai bank account, it received 800k Bahts, deduct 250 Bahts fee and a balance of 799,750 Bahts.
Are you saying that you buy the Thai Baht from you home country bank. If so have you ever checked the rate you get against the mid market rate

I had both done earlier this year at Princess Chulabhorn.
The look up was the planned five year job. Tummy to see if ulcer or GERD.
That was now my forth since living here.Didn’t get another five year appointment like last time… do they know something…….Told me no samples taken but have some diverticulitis.
Cost was around 8000thb if I recall correctly…not much more than five years ago….I will find and check my CC statement. But you will pay more if you have to use the Extra Clinic to cut the waiting time.
Had to have Cov19 test but never got a bill for it so assume included in the price.

I see that Summit Green Valley Chiang Mai have put their Nov/Feb price up 200thb (to 1500thb) all in, Thai and Thai Resident.
Not a huge rise ….

I have been posting mine since the beginning of this year.
I send the docs. by EMS and include a nine Baht SAE for return.
Just use track and trace to see when it was delivered and who signed for it… and keep a copy just in case…

In Phitsanulok I can recommend staying at D11 Hotel.
We stayed there twice in the last two weeks. Once on the way up to Chiang Mai and once last night on the way back.
Room 206 is worth booking. Cost us 800thb going up and 1000thb on the way back!
Book direct. Breakfast is rice soup/toast&jam/orange juice/fruit/coffee. Like many hotels at present. Lucky to find one with buffet at that price.
We looked at The Zense… disappointing!

The blue book has both year of registration AND year of manufacture in it.
Very true…The Blue Book has the year of manufacture and the day/month/year when it was first registered at the LTO.
But the only way to realistically know when it first went on the road, if you want to know, is the date shown in the warranty booklet.
-
We stayed at Chiang Mai Shangri-la the week before last.
They ask for a copy of our vaccination information when we booked. Also had to fill out forms cm3 or cm4… anyway MrsJ was ask to put some app on her phone that did away with the forms.
We don’t see a problem only allowing vaccinated people to check in…we are both deemed high risk… of course YMMV and seems it does.
The hotel had a attractive Staycation offer else we would have stayed elsewhere….
-
The Blue Book gives the date of first registration which could be a year or more after it was first used on the road… so be careful!
The VIN number will give you the date of manufacture and of course other information as well. Google will tell you how to read a particular VIN.
The warranty book will tell you the first date that the car could have been used… just look at the start date of the warranty. The dealer has to start the warranty if he uses the car eg demo. And of course when the car is sold new.
Cars like Mercedes now don’t have warranty books so you need to ask the dealer to show you the electronic version.

Age of car in Blue book.
Not convinced that is totally correct.
But you should get a very good idea from the warranty book.- 2

Played Khutan earlier… really like the course… only 900thb today and 800thb tomorrow. Only here for two nights at present as full on 26th. Might come back though.
Food was vary fairly priced and tasty… and MrsJ get 40% off that price… some government scheme. Sitting outside the restaurant what lovely views.

Just a side question: How much do you think your electric bill is going to be VS take home profit? 50 amps is a massive amount of draw and run for any significant amount of time would put your electric bill into the 20,000 baht range or more.
11kWs ... MEA is about 4.2thb/kWh ... running 24hrs and 30 days might be just a little bit more than 20,000baht.
