  1. Hmm, this often seems to happen when the only person who might be a witness to the crime is conveniently away for a few days....
  2. Fat women... When I was a young student, no matter how much I tried to attract the slim-bodied females, all I ended up with were fat girls! The sex was OK, but I was somewhat 'crushed'. Nowadays, I avoid fat women who make eyes at me. Can't be too careful :)
  3. Out of interest, how old is your friend? Are there any attributing causes (eg smoker, drinker etc). Don't comment if you prefer.
  4. I had a dragon tattoo put on the base of my back 30 years ago in Spain when I was very drunk and my company staff persuaded me to have a tattoo.... I also have a recent tattoo on my upper arm in remembrance of my Thai niece who died in my arms last year from TB :(
  5. I suppose you could insist on using the pool during this private party, but word on the grapevine is that it is a gay nude swingers pool party....
  6. I used to just pay in cash at the land office. The most I paid was about 8 million baht, took a fair time to count it!
  7. I'd be more concerned about crocodiles in that 'swamp'!
  8. "Boss, I broke my leg and have to use crutches" "No way!! You can't use crutches in my store - crawl on the floor if necessary..." I hope the shop is sued for millions.
  9. Totally off-topic, (well almost, but a fun story anyway!). 20 years ago when I wrote a very successful chat AI text messaging program, I deliberately wrote the code so that the AI persona DID get annoyed by annoying or rude questions from the live person. For example, if the person texted "you're not very smart are you?", my chat program would reply with something like "Well, I'm much smarter than a dumbass like you!". Why did I write the code this way? Because each text message received from my AI program cost the end-user about $1.5 USD! (the user was aware of this but why they would pay to be insulted was beyond me!). I made a lot of money from the abusive messages that my system sent in response to abuse from end-users! :)
  10. Why Isaan? People speak Isaan in Isaan, not Thai :) Better to go somewhere where they speak Central Thai. Perhaps Kanchanaburi?
  11. The 3 golden rules to survive in Thailand: 1 - Never touch electricity poles 2 - Never walk on drain covers 3 - Avoid women with dicks
  12. Judging from the Tiktok video I doubt it. Best wishes to Chuwit!
  13. Correct. It was a general comment about the state of the forum!
  14. I would pay 500 baht/month to have a forum that isn't overrun with trolls and morons....

Ah sorry, my mistake. I certainly would not wear that t-shirt in Myanmar, because I would be deported rather quickly! I am living in Laos now because the military junta decided to exclude me anyway from that country. I have no problems to wear this t-shirt in public in Laos.

I was never in the forces, but I recognise the freedoms that many individuals died for. My father spent 12 years in the army in Africa (albeit not in a frontline role). Why would you not wear a poppy outside if you have one?

    Er.. of course! Why not?
  18. Seems a bit tough on the dog to have its balls chopped off just so you can avoid future prostate problems.... :) I had my PSA checked a couple of months ago when I was in Thailand. It was 14, which maybe sounds very high, but it's unchanged since last year when I had prostate cancer checks which proved negative. My high PSA is down to a long-term UTI which will not be shifted! But my PSA is not increasing so I'm happy. I am ok right now with BPH medication but am realistic to accept that at some stage in the future I will need some surgical intervention. Hopefully in a few years from now there will be more options available.
  19. "I suspect that the evolutionary process (not the fictitious god) actually got it right at the time" Wait a moment! You mean Darwin designed the human body?! This man has a lot to answer for... He should be banished to some isolated islands as a punishment! The Galapagos Islands comes to mind :) Posters should be aware that I am a scientist and my comments about God were in jest. I personally believe in the flying spaghetti monster...
  20. Well, with my limited medical knowledge, it seems to be that whatever god designed the male anatomy, he (she/it?) screwed up big time when it comes to the location and plumbing of the prostate. Here's a diagram of the prostate and surrounding organs. (My own body differs somewhat in that my penis is way bigger than that chipolata in the diagram - lol). The bladder sits above the prostate and the urethra tube to empty pee from the bladder passes through the middle of the prostate. Also within the prostate is the duct coming from the testicles and carrying sperm. So both pee from the bladder and sperm share the same urethra tube as it then travels down and out through the end of the penis. Why on earth does the urethra from the bladder have to pass through the prostate? When the prostate enlarges, the urethra is squeezed and BPH is the result. Surely God would have realised this! Was he having a bad day or something? Why doesn't the urethra from the bladder bypass the prostate and join up with the main urethra as it leaves the prostate? In fact, why isn't there surgery available to re-route the urethra from the bladder in this way? I present my alternative bladder output routing (purple line) for those who wish to experiment with DIY surgery :)

Not surprisingly, no Remembrance Day poppies to be found on sale here in north Laos. So I colour-printed my own on stiff card :) (My t-shirt supports those fighting in Myanmar against the illegal junta).
  22. Bear in mind that many of these invasive treatments do not provide permanent relief to the problem. I recall seeing a table which compared how long the relief might last for. It certainly wasn't 20 years, more like 5 years...
  23. Rastafarianism is outdated..... Pastafarianism is the 'hot' religion 🙂 Back on topic, your wife should have no problems to find a worthy candidate to donate your wheelchair to after you pass. Last year I bought a lightweight wheelchair for my 18 year old Thai niece who was dying of TB. After she passed, her wheelchair was gratefully accepted by another elderly family member.
