Well I guess that is why I have a good lawyer on retainer and nobody would enter my premises for no reason.
Where do you live, or how much trouble can you get into that requires you to have a Lawyer on retainer ?
I don't mind paying a retainer fee, but it sure as hell is not going to be for a Lawyer.

Perhaps if you live in the LOS for 10 more years and have a daily Thai companion, then maybe the answers to all your questions will be answered.
No, this would only raise many more questions and not provide any answers to the questions already put forward.

I went to CW in November for a Re-entry permit. The first question I was asked was where is your TM30. I had done the TM30, showed her the receipt so no problems. I have been asked on other occasions for the TM30, so now I always include a copy with the documents.

Christmas for most Thais is about decorations and trees at shopping malls, and whatever other western consumerist customs that may have migrated here associated with the season. In other words the fun stuff without the religious stuff.
This is the way it should be everywhere.
"Religious stuff", should be like Batteries 'NOT included'.

Potential problem - You may have to share the bed with the gf and the Ex, but if your into that then maybe all will be ok.

Sounds like the Ex b/f is getting more than the OP. Most likely getting some of the OP's money as well. It's a win-win for the g/f and ex-b/f, but not so much of a win for the OP.
Time to find a new g/f.

When he gets his cross back the first thing he needs to do is go and sell it, then purchase a decent amulet so as he can warn off this type of evil.

OP I don't know how old you are, but in my 20's, 30's and 40's I hardly knew anyone that died. Now in my 60's it is not so unusual.
This also includes Thailand as I have been coming here since the late 1970's.

A bloke in a bar got drunk, then got pissed off about something. Who would have thought that could happen.
But why do people have to video all this BS then put it on FB, if it isn't bad enough with all the other rubbish on FB.
Sticking a camera in his face is not going to help the situation. Unless of course you are looking for some FB material.

We have not considered the possibility that John the Danish man started life as a girl and transgendered (if that is what you call it) to a man. So it could just be roll reversal.

I am sure that he knew his wife to be was a Ladyboy. They had known each for four years, they must have stood next to each other at the urinal at least on a couple of occasions.

The accident is bad, the display put on by the girl (still in question as to gender) is just as bad if not worse.
BUT the real tragedy is, some poor bugger is going to marry her or at the very least buy it a house.

Nyezhov & Spambot. I am in a similar situation as you so it has been interesting to read this report and particularly the replies from Ubonjoe.
I converted my Visa exempt entry to a Non-O-Retirement Visa. Application was submitted on the 29th-October, was given the blue receipt and return date of 13th-November.
I went to CW yesterday and was given the stamps in the passport for the Visa, expires 26th-January.
Was also told to apply for the extension 15 to 30 days before expiry date. Also told if I want to leave Thailand I should obtain a Re-entry permit.
I do need to leave Thailand for a couple of weeks, so I will go back and apply for the Re-entry permit.
Extension of Stay.....
As I understand it from Ubonjoe's comments, to obtain the Extension (1 year) you need to submit Form TM7 "Application for Extension of Temporary Stay". This will extend your stay from the date of the visa expiry. This can be done even up to 45 days before the expiry date.
NOTE. Also along with the TM7 you need to attach all the copies of the support documentation. I am guessing much the same as the original application.
Questions.
1. The TM7 is processed on the same day you submit / make the application ?
So you should receive the Extension of Stay stamp that same day ? No waiting period ?
2. I will also need to leave Thailand in early January before the visa expiry, but after the extension process if I submit it in December.
Then I will need to apply for another Re-entry permit (Multi) early January.
Will this permit be valid through to the end date for the Extension of Stay ?
Thank you.

This thread should be put on hold for a few years until all us boomer generation are dead and gone, then when TVF only has those that grew up in the PC / Nanny State era someone may care about this.

The only surprise is that there were not more family members involved.

It may not be the OP with the problem, it could be a friend of his. Friend could have asked the cops to call him to the police station. Two months later the friend is still waiting.

I am not sure which is the more serious crime in this case. Spray painting a wall with graffiti OR starting a GoFundMe page and asking for a lot of money because you did something stupid. One crime after another.

Looks like a scene from one of the early Bruce Lee movies, could have been 'Enter the Minivans'.

This country really does amaze me. All these police, staff, photographers etc involved for a small theft crime. I mean the number of man hours wasted is quite staggering. Can someone explain to me why they feel the need to make these videos and reanactments... what purpose do they serve?
Possibly so many showed up because they heard that someone stole his friends mattress and wanted to see for themselves.
Stealing a friends, money, car, wife has all been done before, but stealing their mattress I believe is not so common.

What are Thai ghosts like?
in ASEAN NOW Community Pub

Ghosts are on about the same level as religion and it does seem that people that have some type of religion also believe in ghosts. I don't believe in either.
But after reading the list of Thai ghosts, maybe stay away from the woods at night. You may end up getting a good rogering by one of them.
