At 97 the old bugger shouldn't even be on the road driving. Does he still have a license ? Or do they give him a special pass.

I've also had this happen in Jomtien as well. Paid with 1,000, never really checked change until I had left and of course it was short, but too late. Never went back to that restaurant even though I liked the food.

If you don't want to help, just ignore.

One thing is for sure in current times, if you do something a little different there will always be at least one person that will take a photo or video of you. It will end up on social media, everyone is on display now.

You could tell them that in Australia many men are treated as Ms. by the female population.

Why would she delete her Twitter account if she was receiving death threats ? Surely this would have been a positive thing helping support her application for asylum.

This is a very good questions.

I have heard from many Thai ladies how they must support their family, although I have NEVER heard of the older generation supporting their family. This raises the question, How far back did the lazy generation start ?

Sounds like someone has already started on that part of the plan for you. Should save you a bit of work.

If the Cops would only enforce ONE law each week, speeding, drink driving, wearing of helmet, license, traveling in the wrong direction, etc., etc., there would be a HUGE improvement.

BUT sadly this is too much to ask of them. Never mind, just continue as usual.

I believe that Thais just do not care or are not interested in Road Safety, Driving skills or Drunk driving. There is very little to promote road safety and drunk driver awareness in the media because of this. However in the last couple of days there has been two news segments which have featured elephants walking on the roads. Long video clips and featured several times during the course of the day. This is what Thais are interested in.

Now if you could get an elephant drunk, put him in a car and let him drive causing an accident, Thais would watch this and comment on how bad it was. Other than that they just don't care, so good luck educating them.

If they were tagging Sea Turtles then 9 is a good result.

But finding drunk drivers in Thailand is not that hard any day of the year.
