  1. Last year, April 2021, I received a new passport and updated the passport at information in several places (Visa transfert at Immigration, Bank account, etc.). But I forgot to updated the passport information on my Drivers Licenses. Today, at a police checkpoint, the police officer told me that I needed to update my DL. Can I go to the DL department and ask for an update of my existing DL's? Do I need to bring again all the documents for a DL or is my existing DL enough? TIA
  2. Everywhere in the world, crossing a road is a Russian roulette game. This Swedish man shot the bullet and died. Next life better luck.
  3. Murdered 1 goat and 3 cats? DEATH PENALTY Put the snake on the BBQ!!!
  4. Sad, but nothing new. I remember the story of the Karen girl who went to the police and the police brought her back to the people who poored hot water over her. And the Rohingya people locked up on an island somewhere in the south controlled by the army. This is Thailand. If you seek real help, don't count on the police or the military.
  5. Is that the same hotel where the Kyzghikistan woman chosed to jump from the highest floor?
  6. Death sentence is a little bot harsh for this crime. I would drop her with her hands and feet tied, into a river. If she drowns, she was not the murderer of the children. If she manage to swim to the shore, she is a witch and shall be burnt to dead.
  7. In order to fine somebody, he/she needs to be caught first. And when caught, the police will need to write a ticket. So, the Thai people (if caught) will need to do the double of push-ups and the foreigners will have to pay the increased fines.
  8. It has been proved in several countries before that increasing the fines is NO DETERRENT for not obeing to the rules. Only a change of attitude towards these rules makes people accept them and obey (more). This whole charade about increased fines fall into deaf ears when the gross of the population deant's even have a Driver License or gives more to superstitious beliefs than to actual traffic rules.
  9. You want to try it? I wear a Pacemaker which gives only pulses at 5v and 0.001 Amps and I can feel it when my Pacemaker wakes up.
  10. Looks like some posters here are "ignorant" about Electricity. It's not the "Voltage" that kills a human being (or many living beings) but the "CURRENT". Every SAFETY-CUTTER reacts on the amount of CURRENT which can kill a human. In wet surfaces, a 30mA cut off the current when current is leaking. In other surfaces, a 300mA cut off the current when current is leaking. You can kill a human with 12 Volt and a current of 300 mAmp!!!!!
  11. I did read a recent thread in ASEANNOW about "foreigners should not involve in the politics of this beautiful country" and attacking (with words) a German who was complaining of this sleeping beauty ..... And here I read noting else as foreigners complaining about politics in this beautiful country .... Must be a parralell ASEANNOW version ... Must be
  12. Strange........ A while ago, with Tugsuban and the PAD anti-government demonstrations a lot of foreigners were demonstrating and participating in the violence of the PAD, but nobody was warning that they were only guests in the beautiful Thailand and shouldn't get involved in politics.
  13. Nonstop flight are very expensive. Found very cheap flights with 1 stop over, but need to wait for information from Belgium about the date.
  14. I remember that someone wrote a few days/weeks ago about "Proof of bank deposit" at Suvernabhumi of reentry of Thailand. Do I need to show the proof or is my reentry permit sufficient?
  15. 3 vaccinations 1. CoronaVac (17/08/2021) 2. AstraZeneca (10/09/2021) 3. Comirnaty (19/12/2021)
  16. I will need to travel back to Belgium for a medical intervention and will return to Thailand. The whole traveling time will be about a week time. I have an Visa type "O" and a valid "Reentry Permit". I would like to know what documents and others I need to carry to comply with Immigration and flight (Thailand and Belgium). TIA
  17. Yeterday, the headlines in ASEAN NOW reported over woman who would be sentenced to 50,000 years in jail because she accepted to receive a packadge with drugs. Today, the headlines in ASEAN NOW are reporting that an a.. hol. who lynched 2 people in front of their children is released on 500,000 baht bail. This is Thailand .............
  18. ASEANNOW keyboard warriors/"would be judges" at their best. Seems like many people have too much time on their hands ...
  19. I guess that hospitals calibrate their bs testers at regular intervals to be more accurate. In my job, I had to test the pH -level of the water in the decanter with strips. Same as the BS level meters. But I needed to calibrate the meter every week.
  20. By the way, I followed the advice of my doctor at the military hospital and my BS levels are now an average of 128 WITHOUT MEDICATION. The latest ha1bc test 2 weeks ago was 136.
  21. Same at a local Thai doctor around the corner Yes Sheryl, my blood sugar levels are very fluctuating. I try to find out what causes high blood sugar levels and avoid the food/drink that causes the high blood sugar levels. Although, my blood sugar levels have improved a lot this way. Only 1 <deleted> in my finger every morning ...
  22. I wonder if it doesn't would be better to go every 2 or 3 days to the hospital and let them test my BS? The price for the test strips and lancets is not cheap. A BS test at the hospital would cost me 150 baht and is accurate.
  23. I have 2 blood sugar meters at home, and I use one of them every day to know my blood sugar level. But the measured blood sugar levels were very different, depending what device was used. I did one morning the test with several devices I had loan from friends and the BS levels variated from 111 (Sinophar) that morning. Very confusing.
