Well this is interesting.
I arrived Feb 25th (visa exempt), extended for 30 days (non covid extention) until April 24th and planned to do another 60 day after this for visiting Thai wife/child.
Reading the announcement i assumed my permission to stay is automatically extended until April 30th and probably until May 30th as i do expect them to extend this as country is on lock down and then after that get a 60 day extension if i can or leave the country if not possible. Now technically i arrived before March 26th but did a normal extension until April 24th.
Maybe I should just try the 60 day extension before April 24th then ????

1. You can't enter the country at all right now
2. Roojai insurance is for people living here 6 months+ and work permit holders so you can't get that also

You could test negative and still be positive. Those tests are not nearly to 100% accurate. Positive, positive, negative, positive and never been negative at all.

Live report :
"Just back from CW after getting tourist visa exemption extension. Arrived at 6.45am and got entry number 700! By 8am that was almost double! Thankfully counters opened at 7am again, and I was all done by 11.15am."
Well that seems impossible but i guess no reason not the believe ???? 7am to 11:15am = 255 minutes = 2.75 people per minute (one extension done every 22 seconds). Sure i messed that up somehow ???? I did these calculations when i was waiting there on Friday and had number 636 ???? Arrived 1pm was done 7:30pm.
Did they convert most of the desks to Tourist extentions? Not just the 3-4 K desks?

Yes agreed it is quite annoying really. While back home it is also like that but to a much lesser extent then i experience here in Thailand. I know my wife is addicted to her phone and Facebook and if i comment she says everyone is doing this i am the abnormal one ????
But back to my question. Iphone is one brand of mobile phones. Does not cover the whole mobile phone market ???? So i assume you just mean people in general on their phones not specifically phones ? ????

I'd suggest smart tv. Doesn't seem you're very knowledgeable about it all so smart tv has everything you might need in one package without extra cables, remotes etc... And it is a very smooth experience on my LG without crashes etc... as some of these cheap android tv boxes can be a bit finicky sometimes. Smart TVs usually also mention that you can use Netflix, youtube etc.. So if it says you can watch Netflix it is a smart TV ????

And I thought only Beamers where the rude ones!
I am a very friendly and polite Beamer driver. I even stop at red lights and most zebra crossings ????Not all are the same ????

There is a zebra crossing and signs outside my son's school in Bangkok.
Makes no difference. From hundreds and hundreds of times crossing that road last 4 years on that spot i would say maybe once or twice someone stopped voluntarily. Morning and afternoon when school stops they have to have a policeman on this small soi there to allow the kids to cross the street or nobody would ever stop. When I dare to cross and they have to stop I you get is honks and cursing. Tuk Tuk drivers and motobike taxis being the worst.
So i can't let my kids go to or from school alone because of this. It is a small street just one lane each way but still too dangerous.

You can still apply for a Non-O based on marriage without financial proof in Vientiane, or Savannakhet.
The downfall is that you'll have a Non-O Multiple Entry and will have to leave every 90 days. But you can extend it to 15, or even 17 months.
I am aware of this. I was just asking hypothetically that this way of extending is possible only for people who have lived in Thailand more then a year already before going for the extension based on income since they have to show 12 monthly transfers from a foreign bank to a Thai bank.

Today i extended my 30 day visa exempt entry in Bangkok for an extra 30 days.
Never did a TM.30 and was granted the extension without any questions.
Only provided the form, passport and passport copies. Had the lease for the condo in my wife's name but did not give it to them and nobody asked.
I have not stayed in a hotel at all these 30 days but in a condo and the IO did read the condo name from the form and i confirmed that is where i am staying.
While i waited i did not see anyone that was sent back with their passport to get a tm30.
This was my first visa exempt extension this year (if it makes any difference)
Overall was quite empty compared to other times i was at immigration.
Arrived 8:30 and was out at 9:35.
Busiest were the Tm.30 desks but seemed to move quickly and by the time i was done (number 22) the tm.30 desks were at 95 already.
Just thought i'd share if anyone is wondering.

If married or having a legal child any entry can be extended 60 days for vising Thai wife or child
Visa exempt = 30 days on entry + 60 days extension = 90 days
Non-O visa = 90 days on entry + 60 days extension = 150 days
I personally do this too. I prefer to travel every few months.
-
Visa exempt entry gives you 30 days and you can extend 30 days.
I did this today ????
I have also entered via land borders before (over a year ago) and always got 30 days and i have extended those in the past.

Sounds like an awful waste of time only because people working there don't know the rules.
Isn't there some place to complain? I mean obviously the reason you were denied is not valid since there is a grace period.
I do have another related question to this kind of extension. If someone gets a Non-O for the first time and comes to Thailand. And now after 3 months wants to extend this for 1 year based on marriage he can not use the transfer to Thai bank method? Since in theory this person has only been in Thailand for 3 months on his non-o entry and couldn't have possibly had transfer for last 12 months since he did not live in Thailand before this and did not have a Thai bank account before.

Why should foreigners use Grab in Bangkok or Pattaya?
Cheaper with all the promotions. My street in Bangkok or the place i stay in Pattaya doesn't get that much traffic so can just order a taxi and always see on map where it is. Driver knows already where i want to go so no need to discuss this and try to explain even if he doesn't know where it is he can follow the GPS. I would consider it safer as you always know which taxi you took and if you left something in the taxi you know the licence number and driver's phone number. You get points and can use same app for taxi, food orders, any kind of delivery etc... No need for cash on any of these services, have someone to talk to if something goes wrong and so on....

So lets say you check into a hotel for a staycation day before you need to do the 30/60 day extension? check out day of the extension or one day after.
TM30 problem solved and timed saved at immigration?

Arrival card has your address on it
Every time you extend your visa you give your address
Every 90 days you have to report you give your address
Every hotel you stay in reports your stay
And now you have to make sure to report it again when you arrive home after you probably already gave them your address on the arrival card
Totally makes sense ????

Happened to me twice. As others said you will be taken aside and you will get a stamp in passport but won't pay any fine.
-
Thank you for the info.
-
So if someone on a tourist visa goes to do a 30 day extension at CW can he/she just pay the fine and get the extension? Or do you have to pay the fine and do the TM30 right there? What if you don't have the documents from the landord? And what exact document from the landlord are even needed? copy id card (signed), copy lease?

Are several months of transfers from overseas to my bank enough for a first 12 month extension?
If i just transfer 50+k/month to myself from overseas is that OK? Or is there more proof needed about the source of the transfers?
And if i continue to do this every month around the same date for a year i can get another extension based solely on that?
I think i have read before that they sometimes ask for more proof like work contract or some proof of overseas pensions etc..
