How many uses do I need out of my reusable (alternative to plastic) bag before it is more environmental friendlier?

Now, why didn't the government do a better job working with manufacturers and food and drink producers first ?!
Because its easier to target the consumer.

these are under the table bags.
Not exactly under the table, 7-11 official policy now is, if the Customer requests a bag they get one.

I hear they have simply taken any identifying marks off, ie plain bags.
Been plain bags for several weeks now.

No chaos on the 31st, as the plan is to close off Beach Road to traffic.
Have seen nothing advertised for DJ sets this year.
But there is bands playing at Bali Hai, Central Festival and Central Marina.

but when you have long term places like The Pig and Whistle and The Butcher's Arms close down, it doesn't show confidence in the market.
Was that the best you could come up with?
One, the owner died and so did the business because it became rudderless.
The other was sold as the owners wanted to retire from the business, and reopened shortly after to many good reviews.

I wouldn't call 1 month a high season
Who did?
16 minutes ago, Leaver said:I mentioned the tsunami because I am hearing from friends down south that it's dead in many of the well known tourist areas, and was talking about high season across Thailand.
Not a clue what is relevant about this
17 minutes ago, Leaver said:So, whilst there may be a lot of people walking around, that's no good to bars if they buy beer from 7/11's or supermarkets, and no good for restaurants if they buy cheap eats from the same.
Oh I see, High Season numbers can only be calculated by your means?
In any High Season, good businesses will always survive, while the poorly run ones will fail, and look for excuses. What business do you own?

I bet you haven't seen one as low as this one, possibly with the exception of the tsunami.
LOL .... not even close.
You should have seen 1993, which was the quietest I have ever seen.
The only one that comes close was when the Yellow Shirts closed Suwanapoom, and that downturn only really lasted a month.
The Tsunami? ... why would you think that would affect Pattaya?

I think its worth mentioning, if its cat advice you are looking for, try contacting https://www.facebook.com/pawsbangkok/
They were very helpful, and more honest than the pet clinics here in Pattaya when my cat was hit by a motorbike.
The money I saved was given to them as a donation.

Seen every one since 1989.

Normally it is held on an empty piece of land to the north of Pattaya.
Maybe it has moved for this years event .... I will check.
No, looks like it will be held at Horseshoe Point this year.
@SidJames definitely not a scam, as there has been one at the same time for the last 5 years.

You're referring to the excellent Dr. Komchai and the Pattaya Animal Clinic on Pattaya Tai. He closed that location and consolidated it with his larger facility, Banrai Animal Clinic, in Na Jomtien where he also provides specialized surgery and extensive boarding. It's a 15-minute ride south on Sukamkavit. 0850935954. Still excellent veterinary care.

Was open the last time I passed.
Used to use this one a lot, when he had an excellent female Vet working for him, but when she left the place seemed to go downhill ..... I wish I could find out where she moved to.
As I have said before, I use Thong Lor now, and tell everyone to avoid Muang Ake (both on the Sukhumvit) who still spam call me, after my one visit which was enough for me.

Maya Music Festival has been an annual thing the last few years.
Normally it is held on an empty piece of land to the north of Pattaya.
Maybe it has moved for this years event .... I will check.
For some reason, the Legends Music Festival seems to be getting promoted by Pattaya more, and it is on the same weekend.

Funny that there is more talk of the Lion Pub since it closed, than there was when it was open.

23 minutes ago, Leaver said:Sure. Why don't you?
Would you open a business in hospitality here now, in the current economic climate?
If that was the business I was in, then yes no problem.
In fact, I see plenty of new openings this high season, some will survive and some will fail as always.
I guess you prefer to concentrate on closings, as it probably suits your outlook on life?

It's so people can keep up to date with closures, as there will be many more in the near future.
Maybe you should start an opening one as well, for balance.

That location is terrible.
It just gets lost among the Pet Food shops (yes we know!!) and the darkened windows do not help either.
Must be doing a fraction of the business that it was doing in its old location.
