Visited Central Marina the other day and was saddened by the demise of Texas Chicken. Not that I go often but it was a treat for me once a month. Place was getting busier over time. Guess Thai prefer their KFC.
Anyone know of another Texas Chicken in Pattaya?

The exodus of farangs seems to be having it's effect.. Cherry's was there for how long, 10+y and Lone Star at least 5? RMPM gone the only place left for ribs is Smokin' Joes? Even the Jomthien place closed.
Lone Star still exists, as does RMPM, as does Cherrys.
Just more wishful thinking I guess?

To add, my fellow customers there the other night were Vietnamese people.
I saw some Americans in McDonalds the other day.

Better than your run of the mill Gai Yaang on Soi Arunothai (very close to the Pattaya Glang junction)
Gai Yaang WichianBuri
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wichian_Buri_District#Wichian_Buri_grilled_chicken
Chicken is very good, and 140 baht for the whole bird is reasonable.
Som Tam (with Salted Egg) 50 baht and Nam Tok Moo 50 baht were also very good.
Sauce for the Chicken was totally different to anything I have had before with Gai Yaang.
Quite sweet, sticky and heavy on the Tamarind.
Well worth a try if Isaan Food is your thing.

Pho Mr. Nam may as well be closed, as I can not remember the last time I saw a customer in there.

This morning I had another very nice "full English" at Retox. The black pudding is now on request only, as many
wimpsnon-Brits did not like it. Just ask and you shall receive. This breakfast is good value at the usual 99B but earlier today it was entirely free to all.
And that is no April Fool.
Already posted on page 290.
I decided to give the staff the cost of our breakfasts as a tip.
Do you think Jingthing has ever had a Retox 99 baht Bahtbuster ?

Every time I go to Retox now I never get black pudding. Do you have to ask for it or something?
Yes, so many people just leave the black pudding on their plate, that they stopped serving it unless you ask for it.
Its understandable I suppose.

I've had the pho there, and it's not nearly as good as Mr. Nam's as well as only being available on weekends if I recall correctly.

I bet she is still doing her thing, long after Mr. Nam Pho has given up.

Indian street snack food. Not rare here in restaurants. Especially pav bhaji. Just Google.
Oh well, should not have bothered then.

I pass there regularly (including early this afternoon) and have never seen it, so I'd say yes, it's new.
I have not a clue what that is they are selling but I was sure it would be right up Jingthings Soi.
