With all this immigration shakeup going on, I wonder if there will be a spike in marriages to Thais by desperate men and women looking for a way to stay as more and more get kicked out.
How do you do that, if you can't get in?

So using this service the company staff can somehow get cleared to wait "inside" the airport before immigration for clients and take them fast-track through immigration therefore the client gets preferrencial treatment from IOs?
They just told me not to use this service, if you are worried about getting refused, as they find regular IO's more lenient, where the IO's in VIP hate anything that requires extra work.

Interesting that they state : "This service is not available for visitors that have overstayed their visa (exemption) in the past"
I have one stupid mis-counted 1 day overstay from 2 years ago .... hmm?

Your tourist visa is still valid. Do the following:
- Fly to Kuala Lumpur.
- Fly Kuala Lumpur to Vientiane.
If you get denied at Suvanabhumi, will you be allowed to fly to Vientiane?

Can someone lay out exactly what your options are if you get refused?

Business for sale.
We would like to sell the full restaurant with all equipment included in the sales price. This includes the bar, espresso machine and a stainless-steel elegant noodle station for 600000b.
The monthly rental is very low here and reasonable: 22500b a month. The water bill is 1500b. The typical charge for the electricity is around 6000b for the monthly bill.
The new owner would need to make a new contract with the hotel owner who is an extremely nice person and reasonable to deal with.
We are closing due to personal reasons. The new owner could be quite successful if they choose to cater the food for the restaurant at outside events to make more income.
Please message me for more questions. -

Going to guess, this will be pretty dreadful .. anyone?

Yes, flouting, I'm not saying that applies to you necessarily but that's what foreigners trying to live here are doing when they do it on tourist visas.
"...so everyone knows where they stand".
Here's where you stand; if you're a tourist on a tourist visa or VE don't try to live here on it, nor make so many lengthy trips that it appears that you might be!
Then they need to make that clear, and decide how long and how often a Tourist Visa should be.
Instead of leaving it to one person who does not like the look of your face.

Flouting?
They should just make rules that they are all happy with, so everyone knows where they stand.

I just found Thong Lor very up front with everything, where all the others I have tried, you could tell it was all about how much money they could get out of you.
Muang Ake being the worst.
Three Years on, I still get cold called by Muang Ake ????
-
I have tried the majority of Vets in the Pattaya area, and think that Thong Lor is the most professional.

Avoid Muang Ake.

Well the hot food had arrived plenty hot from that Vietnamese place so I'm not going to blame the meh factor on delivery. For example a well developed Pho broth wouldn't lose that flavor in a 5 to 10 minute ride.
Well, my thought was not directed especially at a ... Vietnamese place (?)
And was just a personal thought, that I could never judge a restaurant, from how their food travels, compared to how it is when it comes out of the kitchen.

If this report of closure is incorrect, please post to correct it ASAP.
Correct.
Also Sunnys on the Darkside has closed its doors today.

Just me I suppose, but my expectations would always be lower when using services like grab, than eating in the restaurant itself.
I can not in anyway imagine that something coming out of a kitchen fresh, could be compared to something that has to travel a distance to get to you.

Assuming that's pattaya, where is soi Made? Don't know it. Thanks.
The Amulet Vendor is just behind the Buddah here :
-
Your best bet is probably the Vendor on the 3rd Floor of Mikes Shopping Mall.
There is also a vendor in Soi Made in Thailand.
Another on the GF of the Avenue, close to Villa.
And there is also several out at the Buffalo Weekend Market on Thepprasit.

Locally I have found a couple of locations where they are edible, one on the dark side and one off Pattaya Tai, both called Vientiane, although they say they are not (currently) related. The dark side one is situated over a small stocked pond. The other one seems to mainly cater to tourist busses. The menus are almost identical with the dark side one being a bit more expensive. Well worth a visit for Vietnamese food.
Vientiane is an institution in Pattaya.
Originally on Second Road, they had to re-locate due to the Avenue being built.
They then moved to Walking Street, then South Road, and then the Darkside.
The menu has not changed in decades, and I have always thought the Vietnamese side of the menu is great. As you say, the spring rolls are best around, as is the Naem Nuang.
BUT, I do eat regularly at Saep Der and really like their Spring Rolls etc. as I do some of their soups, some you can't get anywhere else, like Mee Kathi.

I probably should have mentioned that I would visit Pho Mr. Nam on Tappraya instead. Even though I don't like their location either for me their location is much better than the reviewed restaurant and I also like their food much better as well. But Pho Mr. Nam isn't on Grab.
Pho Mr. Nam has re-opened?
Did not know that.
