  1. Just in case you were considering it ... ????

The Office of Insurance Commission (OIC) has warned people against trying to get infected with the Covid-19 virus on purpose to claim insurance money.

“Although there is no case of attempted Covid-19 insurance fraud filed at the OIC yet, the office will monitor the situation closely,” he said.

“The office may consider limiting the number of Covid-19 insurance policies that a person can buy to discourage insurance fraud.”

A news source reported that some companies have announced that they would no longer sell Covid-19 insurance, leading to speculation that the move was aimed at preventing fraud.

Viriyah Insurance will no longer sell Covid-19 insurance after June 30 from 10pm, while Bangkok Insurance has stopped selling its Covid Complete and Covid Total insurance policies since June 27,” said the source. “Meanwhile, Asia Insurance said that their 'Jer Jai Job' [immediate pay upon testing positive] programme will accept new customers only until July 1.

I believe it is being withheld from Thais too..... Bangkok residents, and Phuket residents (to get ready for tourists) are being put first, along with military conscripts..... I don't think this is being broadcast, just totals of injected people, and that is not impressive either.

Again, let's not forget about the migrant workers, who do not seem to be getting vaccinated, even though they are the ones being locked up.

  3. The annual “Cobra Gold” Thailand-US military training exercise will be adjusted down in terms of participating personnel and types of drills, military commander-in-chief General Chalermpol Srisawat said on Wednesday.

“The adjustment aims to make the programme more suitable with the current Covid-19 situation,” he said.

The training exercise will be divided into three parts and runs from July 12 to August 13.

One is the Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief Tabletop Exercise (HADR TTX) scheduled from July 12 to August 12 in Rayong and Sa Kaeo.

The other includes a military staff exercise (STAFFEX) and cyber exercise (Cyber-X), scheduled from August 2-13 at the Royal Thai Naval Air Division in Rayong.

The third part is land and sea training exercises from August 2-13 in Krabi, Chiang Mai, Lopburi, Rayong and Surin.

That can only be true, if Travel itself is never the same again.

And yes there is a possibility.

Please, do not edit my posts to back up your name calling nonsense posts.

  5. The United States embassy in Thailand published the following message for American citizens from charge d’affaires Michael Heath:

To My Fellow Americans in Thailand,

In the past few weeks, many of you have asked about the availability of vaccines in Thailand. I want you to know that I hear you and understand your concerns. I am providing you with an update on the actions our government is taking to ensure you have access to vaccines.

The Biden-Harris Administration has embarked on a global effort to address this pandemic by sharing 80 million vaccine doses worldwide by the end of June and 500 million more in the coming year. The first 25 million of these doses will soon be released, with 7 million going to countries in Asia, including Thailand. We continue to advocate with the Royal Thai Government for fair access to vaccines by our citizens. We are heartened by Thai government commitments to vaccinate Americans and other foreign nationals who reside here, just as Thai and other nationals are receiving vaccinations with ease in the United States.

  6. I see Countries who have vaccinated the majority of their populations, will be announcing the plans for booster shots.

Which got me thinking about countries like Thailand, who seem to have a large gap between those who have been vaccinated and those that have not even had their first jab yet.

And sure enough, there is the news today that "The Public Health Ministry is speeding up a study looking into the need for a third Covid-19 vaccine shot for people who are fully vaccinated"

    ????
