  1. Knowing the BBC I seriously doubt that it would be just one "demand". The BBC is probably insisting that all performers must now align with the BBC's "politically educational" output.
  2. I'm guessing that the store where they bought the safe knew about it, possibly also Somchai who delivered it, plus whoever installed it. That's just a guess though..... 🤣🤣🤣
  3. Lol! That reminded me of the "jumper" scene from Dirty Harry!
  4. Contrary to that claim, I have found that a great many Thai drivers seem to excel at a number of things: Running red lights, driving on the wrong side of the road, driving at night with no lights, exceeding the speed limit, overloading their vehicle, driving unroadworthy vehicles, driving whilst impaired through drink and/or drugs, failing to yield to other road users, ignoring pedestrian crossings, having no licence, etc.
  5. The cause of almost all traffic collisions is the nut holding the wheel.
  6. No mention in the report of how his shoulder became dislocated. Perhaps his girlfriend was beating him up rather than the other way around?
  7. And that was just the bar girls!
  8. It may be only the pagers sold to Hezbollah that exploded, but the entire world got the message.
  9. Seriously? And they believed her? Hey Erin, I hope your judgement was better when you were working. Be careful not to let the door hit you on the way out.
  10. Clean the toilets? This is Thailand!
  11. Bizarre. Normally one would expect that prosecutors are well versed in all applicable procedural rules relating to trials, not least the need for evidence! Are these people amateurs? Trainees? Students perhaps?
  12. This is news? All adult leopards are spotted!
  13. I wonder if the F1 cars will be fast enough to catch up with Bangkok motorcycle taxi drivers?
  14. I have sympathy for both. Rebecca was from the UK, and that apparent poor decision-making and lack of maturity in a 36yo is a symptom of the malaise generated from the UK's "health and safety" obsessed Government and society. Nothing that can be controlled by legislation is allowed to be dangerous, everything is "safe". UK citizens growing up are kept wrapped up in cotton-wool and told repeatedly that the state is responsible for their well-being "from the cradle to the grave". The result is that many UK citizens do not learn how to take care of themselves nor how dangerous the world can be, so a 36yo who has not learnt how to make life-saving choices when allowed out into a freer environment is very, very sad, but no surprise. R.I.P. Rebecca.
  15. An observer of the effects of abolition in those other countries where, since abolition, killings have risen, and continue to rise, might think the opposite. What those who push for abolition omit from their arguments is that an effective deterrent against killings saves lives. Well done Thailand. Keep the deterrent.
  16. The point is that, although we already know the outcome, there will be some Brown Envelopes involved in arriving at that outcome.
  17. Lol! But no doubt someone on AN will tell you where to stick that idea!
  18. I remember a similar video of, again a woman, walking across a square in, if I recall correctly, Amsterdam. Totally absorbed in her phone and walked straight in front of a tram. Another Darwin award. Does it tend to be more women who do this, or is it just that the female victims are the ones we remember?
  19. Lol! There is apparently absolutely no truth in the rumour that there are Chinese police in every single country in the World.
  20. Always too much arson about in Sydney!
  21. There is a problem with the above headline. Rachel Reeves Leaves Door Open to Potential Tax Rises Next Every Year Fixed it!
