Hopefully after over a year in power this will be the the first pledge they will actually see through on. Just go with the firestick and plug it in, firestick IMHO will be superior to the smart tv itself in all respects. You can also unplug the firestick and take it with you with the app loaded on it, cant do that with a big tv. Stick (pun intended) with a firestick, or something of equal standard, I had a cheap box and the wifi was just crap on it.

I believe the app is unstable at times as all my other streaming apps are fine.

Just looked at this thread, firstly you wouldnt need a smart tv if you get a firestick. The stick will make your tv smart. As with Wi** its terribly unstable, it will fail you when you want it most. (I know, I have it, wont renew) . I'd look around some more. 'Customer service' is some rude grumpy old man who is just a reseller.
