  1. That so often seem to run into the rear of some unsuspecting little hatchback and instantly turn into misFortuners.
  2. Might be a lot more fun aurally to toss in a small block in the TR7.
  3. Interesting, thank you for that. I did not know that.
  4. Well, no, he wasn't legitimate. A lot of the items were illegally excavated or collected and smuggled out. Many had fake provenance paperwork. A lot of museums are now in possession of what are, essentially, stolen pieces of artwork because of him.
  5. No country. Latchford himself was a noted collector and smuggler of Khmer antiquities. He mostly bought the items either in Cambodia or from dealers in Thailand, built a personal collection as well as supplying pieces to museums around the world.
  6. Is there an idiotic question of the year category on the forum? I'd like to nominate this thread.
  7. https://xrc-motorcycle-driving-school.com/course/ I haven't attended myself but an acquaintance has and he liked it.
  8. No, hotels are not more expensive than Paris, class for class, irrelevant though that is. Obviously Evian is cheaper in France being that it's a French product. What did you expect? Go price a papaya or a mango.
  9. I used to use motion garage Bkk when I had an older BMW. Reasonably competent and also do Project 'A remaps and other tuning. Out of curiosity, which Alfa do you have? I still have a couple of 105's back home and wish I had them here!
  10. Ain't no trains in Nakhon Phanom province. Both the iron horse and ol' nosey must be elsewhere.
  11. I wonder how much America saves via a proxy war. Also do you not think American companies will have a hand in earnings from reconstruction just as they do from this little war? As to how much it costs, at the end of the day, that's the price we pay to maintain our position.
  12. Exactly so. Ukraine is going to need a massive rebuilding effort once all is said and done. As for the hashtag, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NAFO_(group). I hope that does not contravene any AN posting guidelines.
  13. Sure Ukraine wants peace. It wants peace with all its territory back including Crimea, war reparations for rebuilding the country, war crimes proceedings, etc. As long as the West does not get fatigued... #NAFO
  14. This was back in June and just what they told me at the hospital when I last visited so it might we'll have changed.
  15. No problem! Yeah, not much info at all and all I could dig up was not the most positive. Unfortunate as it is real tempting.
  16. By the way, Bumrungrad does not accept WR for direct billing. I did find out, it being my hospital of choice.
  17. They're related to the Thonburi Group. Their experience with insurance is via Assist International (also mostly owned by the Thonburi Group), which assist other insurance companies as an interface with Thai hospitals and are seemingly majority owned by the same people. Registered in England, yes, Thai ownership.
  18. Certainly, but the reason OPEC can do that is because demand is relatively inelastic. So, essentially, it is still the market that sets the price in relation to supply, not the companies. A company's job is to make money. I do agree with you, though, that supply is manipulated and I am no fan of pipelines.
  19. The potential for one, yes. But then there should be no complaints about gas prices, energy costs, etc. when oil prices go up. That's the cost of being environmentally friendly.
  20. Yes, wildly money grubbing. They spend the most for lobbying, by far. Oil's a poor 5th in that regard. Better from a stockholder's perspective, of course. Until they need healthcare that their insurance does not cover.
  21. Yup. Obama yanked the permits and Trump reinstated them. TC Energy gave up on the project once Biden yanked the permits again. Sure, it was mostly oil for export but that does have a price impact.
