  1. For your edification, the point is that it is hardly a big thing if it is something that occurs all over the country countless times. ????
  2. So he ran across one of perhaps millions who practice speaking English with foreigners everyday.
  3. As a small percentage of your diversified holdings, fine. Why not get an offshore bank account in Singapore? Citibank is a tad onerous; OCBC is both easier and has lower balance requirements. As for your question, there used to exist a P2P marketplace, localbitcoins, but they are no longer in business. There might be substitutes.
  4. So they'll lop one boom off of boom boom town and make it into just a boom town? That sucks (currently anyhow).
  5. You could have tried clicking on the link in the OP. Now you just seem like another TV idjit.
  6. Thank you for that. That clarifies things.
  7. What difference does it make what I would call myself? By definition: Crime- an action or omission that constitutes an offense that may be prosecuted by the state and is punishable by law. Criminal- a person who has committed a crime. So, now you're assuming that the OP is talking about people who've overstayed by three days?
  8. Are you an English speaker? Do you know the definition of a crime? Look it up and enlighten yourself.
  9. How do you know they aren't Thai nationals? Did you ask to see their ID's?
  10. Thank you, I'll give that a shot. Unfortunately, self administration is the only choice when you're a week away from the road head.
  11. Thank you! Great to know.
  12. Thank you, yes, the hospitals do administer them but I really don't want to take one preemptively.
  13. Not sure what the confused member is confused about. Enlighten me so that I can, perhaps, allay your confusion.
  14. Greetings all. Any idea where I might be able to get Triamcinolone IM injectable in Bangkok? I tried SouthEast Pharmacy but they don't have it. I'd appreciate any hints as to which particular pharmacies I should try. According to Mims, both Thainocort and Shincort are made in Thailand. I normally travel with a couple of these when I go to the back of beyond for a few months for work. Work is very dusty and my usual asthma meds stop working very efficiently. I do have a prescription from home for what it's worth, just that my stock of Kenacort is exhausted. Thanks.
  15. I think you don't understand the concept of securitized NFTs. They are essentially the equivalent of holding a share of a business. Risk is dependent on the project and developer underlying the NFT, not the asset class. Essentially similar to some of the utility tokens where risk is concerned; with the one you depend on price appreciation and with the other you get a part of the profits.
  16. Absolutely. That is the risk. I wanted to have the battery on my old 2XL replaced but gave up due to the hassle. No doubt, superior to pretty much everything out there for my use. My current travel phone is a Samsung S23, the basic one, and it is just fine but I miss the relative purity of Pixel OS and the Assistant whenever I'm forced to use it.
  17. As @bamnutsak mentioned, 5G does not work for me either. And, likewise, LTE is good enough for me.
  18. My pleasure. He's been around for a while now and I first used him to get a Pixel 4. I haven't needed any repair work so no idea but I'd seriously doubt that he or anyone else offers that service simply because spare parts would not be readily available. Once you order, you do need to follow up, though, as he can be quite slow.
  19. https://www.thainexusman.com/en is the dealer I buy my Pixel stuff from. I'm skipping the 7 and will replace my 6 Pro with an 8 once it is out. Hate limited Pixel battery life, though.
  20. And here I was thinking this was a post about some foreigner in a village passing away...
  21. Expert Watch in the basement at Central World.

  23. RIP, Joe. Your knowledge and unstinting propensity to help even an idiot like me will be missed, but, what will be missed even more is your ineffable civility. May your legend live on, sir.
