  1. Medical professionals are definitely not infallible. Although I have had very little interaction with them as a patient I have been misdiagnosed a number of times. One of those involved broken bones, so I had to haul myself off to a hospital and demand an Xray. Another time I was told that post nasal drip cannot cause nausea which I thought was rather strange, seeing as it ends up in your stomach! My old flatmates at uni were nearly all medical students and now read like a who's who of the British medical establishment, however I wouldn't trust them any more now than I would have then. Very interested to see that one of them is both an advisor to the Ministry of Defence as well as the recipient of a grant from the Chinese Ministry of Health. Now that strikes me as more than a little strange! I would consider that a conflict of interest.
  2. Are we talking about the Covid narrative followed by most governments? That seemed to be more fear mongering than science.
  3. Even in the early stages there were reports of how the vaccine affected TNF-a and its receptors. If I remember correctly it somehow suppressed TNF even though the vaccine was pro-inflammatory.
  4. It's often really hard to get access to the data and sometimes impossible. https://drclarecraig.substack.com/p/the-outcome-of-the-icoukhsa-foi-court

  6. When we hear about crimes such as this we assume it will be one of two demographic groups. The first one is Muslim and they have a supposed motive which centres around religion. The second one is a person from the black African/Caribbean community who mostly have a motive known only to themselves so mental health is involved. This would just be objective profiling but it is not talked about these days. When I heard about this crime I immediately thought about these two groups and it turns out to be the latter.
  7. Why does he have to be led away by two female police officers. Don't the Met have any male officers available?
  8. Andre Walker has put out some good videos lately.
  9. Many Chiang Mai residents (as well as visitors to Chiang Mai) will remember "Yai Gee" from Kasem Store. (Or "Khun Pa Kasem") as we often called her. She was the bastion of good humour, good gossip and common sense at Kasem Store for many years. Sad to say that she passed away on Monday; she was literally a Chiang Mai institution. For those wanting to pay their last respects, the funeral is being held at Wat Pa Paeng (Sala 4) until Saturday (which is the last day). You can see the scheule in front of their shop for details.
  10. The district and the town are 2 different areas. Supposedly the town has around 3,000 people. There is also a relatively large Muslim population in Pai (town) who are Chinese descent. It is worth noting that the Israeli tourists have had rather a reputation for many years. Anyone involved in the tourist industry will have a number of stories to tell!
  11. I was on Koh Phangan a few times 1987-88 and there was no Full Moon Party. Although I seem to remember someone may have set off the idea with the owners of Paradise Bungalows (I think that was the name - at the top end of HaadRin). At that time the locals were having some problems with the Rajneesh who seemed to have taken over large parts and wanted to fence it off.
  12. From observation I would say that Israelis are a group that feed on chaos, it's either a habit or they need it to function (those two are probably inexorably entwined). Therefore, wherever they go the atmosphere is highly charged and when confronted the situation escalates rather than deescalates. I have known a few people with this characteristic in England but they are independent characters (generally high performing). When it comes to the Israelis it seems to be more of a group characteristic. Predictably, it cause all sorts of problems.
