  1. 4g. HOwever my other phone also shows 4g but speed is over 50mb. 4g can go in excess of 50mb
  2. So - crypto sold on an exchange outside of Thailand is only taxable when you bring the money into Thailand? In previous years it was said that "the blockchain is everywhere" therefor crypto sold overseas is fully taxable- even if the fiat money is not brought into Thailand (actually I think this was an idea put forward by some big-wig and not necessarily legal advice) https://sherrings.com/cryptocurrency-income-personal-tax-thailand.html
  3. News to me. Why doesnt anyone talk about it now. Whats different now and then
  4. Hi Can anyone tell me latest on where/how to get Ozempic or Saxenda in Bangkok? It is for weight loss. I live near Asoke. What are the prices? Best clinic or direct from a Pharmacy? I know there was another thread but that is old now. Thanks
  5. I used to use Finn mobile with a different phone and got around 50mbs+ Now i have Xiaomi note 10 5g and i never get over 20mbs. Its not worth me getting the higher packages on finn because the basic service limits to 20mbs after the "high speed" allowance is used up, and i never get over that speed anyway. I was thinking perhaps my Xiaomi note doesnt use their 5g frequency. My old phone was a oneplus 9 and i got very high speeds. Any ideas?
  6. And if you bought on overseas exchange and sold on overseas exchange, and never bring the money into thailand?
  7. Hi I live in Bangkok My British license has expired. I only have a Thai license I wish to go to UK and Ireland for a holiday and may also visit USA. I guess I need an International Drivers License (grey book) is that correct? How can I get one, and where, In Bangkok. Thank you so much
  8. Why dont you saw 6 inches off your legs.
  9. I would like to get some short sleeved shirts and slacks made up. Also a lightweight blazer. Does anyone have any ideas of a tailor with good quality and resonable prices? I think many of the tailors use the same factory/factories so i dont want to pay over the odds for a tailor at expensice location. Thanks
  10. Thanks, any idea what stores there?
  11. Hi I am looking for a church to attend regularly. Having lived in the north i didnt go to church much, they were mostly American cults or places run by pious missionaries. Is there any church were normal people go Where Christians are just normal people who go to church where its not a core part of your personality passing judgement on others. Whats the closest thing to Church of England in Bangkok? I live at Asoke Thanks
  12. Hi I spent all day walking around Pratunam looking for large size clothes. I guess in the west i would be 3x. But cant find anything that fits here. I want to buy shorts, nice t-shirts, maybe some jeans, chinos and some light weight button up shirts (I guess a taylor might be best for the button up shirts) Thanks
  13. Transfer money to a gold dealer from overseas. Collect gold from dealer in Thailand Transfer money to a motor dealer from overseas Pickup car from dealer in Thailand Transfer money to an escrow account overseas, they pay property developer in Thailand Receive ownership of property in Thailand Transfer money to a condo developer from your overseas account to their account in Thailand Receive ownership of property in Thailand Transfer money to a condo developer from your overseas account to their overseas account, Receive ownership of property in Thailand Dealer/condo developer is a business, not an individual. He doesn't pay tax as "income" to his account as its a business account. Of course not every international business transaction is taxed as income. Businesses dont pay income tax, they pay tax on profits. What is and what isnt allowed.??
  14. Its got to be the person who RECEIVED the money pays the tax. Not the person who sent it. So in the case that I purchase something of value from overseas account - its the receiver that pays the tax. Otherwise its taxed twice if me remitting it into thailand is taxable (regardless of it not being remitted to myself) and the receiver has to pay tax on it (if to their personal account as income) and if the receiver is a company (ie motor trader, or condo developer) then this goes through their books, not mine.
  15. Here is another scenario I live in Thailand. I am tax resident I transfer money from my offshore account to someone else in Thailand, who is also a Thai tax resident. According to the above comment I have to pay tax on any money i sent into Thailand. And the other person I sent money to - they also received (my) money form overseas Should we both, then, pay tax on the (same) amount? Doesnt make any sense.
  16. Are you sure? I purchased something from a Thai company and they will be paying tax on any profits from what they sold me.
  17. Hi I am British and Australian I have no assets in UK, Australia or Thailand My assets are in an offshore brokerage account, which I set up while I have been living in Thailand. I told the broker that I am a Thai tax resident. I am on an Elite visa, I do not have permanent residence in Thailand. I wrote a will, leaving money to family. Less than $3m which I understand is the threshold for inheritance tax. What is the procedure when I die here? How is probate done? How do my family get the money? This shouldn't be taxable as inheritance tax in the UK or Australia as I own no property there and have no income or assets in those countries. Thanks
  18. What happens if i... a) Purchase a new car from a dealer and pay them directly from my overseas account. This is not my income, its is their income. b) I purchase a new condo off a developer. I pay them directly from overseas. The money hasnt touched my account, in either case. Any ideas?
