  1. The OP has asked for the best breakfast in Jomtien. I have tried the places mentioned above. They all get it wrong.

    There is only one choice.

Back Fabrik, German Bakery on 2nd Rd. (between Rhompo Market and Soi WatBoon.

Especially if you like fried potatoes.

They must have drastically changed the menu since i was last there.

That was only 20 months ago, coffee1.gif

  2. I don't always do a 90 Day Report as I don't always stay for up to 90 Days some times therefore I have to complete the paperwork again when I stay more than 90 Days.

Thats funny up until this new form

I have left Thailand via airport ( have re entry permit ) left old 90 report bar codded part in back of passport

come back, via airport, new TM card, next 90 day report, they used old form in back of passport and updated new tm card number and dates, no forms to fill in. this may have changed, this was august last year. at Jomtien

  3. just about every scientific paper written on algal blooms. If you want to challenge any part of the discussion, rather than just ask glib questions why don't you bother to read up on the causes first?

    No climate change in Bangsaen

Just natural or its an effect of pollution.

"No climate change in Bangsaen" - Really - So bang Saen is on a different planet to the rest of us?

No, But i think you may well be. coffee1.gif

Please try and get over yourself, and see this so called problem in Bangsaen for what it is wai2.gif

  4. Why would anyone want to give false information. unless they had something to hide. Immigration has most of your facts on file anyway, i.e. Bank details, vehicle details, etc. The notes on the form states that giving false info is an offense.

So if they ask next, for all your Thai bank account numbers , is that ok with you ?

So if they ask next for all Bank account numbers for foreign transfers to Thai bank accounts, is that ok with you ?

The list can be very long for this BS.

Will it still be ok for you, with nothing to hide ?

Remember its an offense to lie on the forms !!!!!!!.

We also have fantastic roll modules for the truth in Thailand.

See where this is going !!!!!!

The only reason to keep gathering info like this is to use it as a lever against you down the road at

some point in time, They are not your friends or buddies. wai2.gif

All expats on retirement extensions and marriage extensions have all their bank details recorded - it's a requirement. I don't see this as a problem.

If you've got multiple bank accounts I'd only list the one you have on record. Even on the extensions using the income method they still have your bank account on record as you must provide it for your first extension.

They will have one of your bank account details,

i have four accounts in different banks in Thailand, immigration is only aware of one wai2.gif

    Hope it stays that way

  5. Trees now being planted. Signs gone up about 'Ghetto Blaster Cars.

Just to clarify, are the previous "Ghetto Blaster Cars" signs gone, or have more new signs gone up? (Fingers crossed, hoping it's the latter...)

Signs are very very scary to the the Lawless Thais, that come down from Bangkok at the weekends

to noise pollute along Jomtien beach to early morning coffee1.gif

  6. I did my 90 day today and took a preprinted and part filled in form with me. They didn't seem all that concerned at thoroughly checking it or asking questions so it looks like they are 'going through the motions' rather than 'strictly enforcing compliance'. I didn't fill in the 'where do you regularly go question' as its so dumb a question. If I had answered it would be 7-11, Big C, Tesco Lotus, Macro and any bar restaurant I happen to fancy at any time etc

It just appears to be another bureaucrat's wet dream that was never thought through properly. TIT

it could be a soft introduction to a much bigger more intrusive form down the road.

and may well require some proof of answers, shock1.gifshock1.gif

Some times you need to be seen to walk around the houses before you kick the front door in. whistling.gif

Possible Taxation time for all the foreign landlords of Thailand !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and maybe other inventive ways of squeezing the foreigner for more money.

Bureaucrats wet dream, i don't think so.

    we will see coffee1.gif

  8. Anyone heard about The Lighthouse Cafe ? It's on the dark side I think, they offer American food and desserts , freshly baked .

Just saw some pictures and the food looks great . Location is in soi Khao Noi. Just want to drop by and buy some cakes or desserts if it is as good as it looks. Prices on the lower side, and only 40 baht for a coffee.

    Here's a video

Could be just a flash in a pan gigglem.gif

  9. The bib just have to show the non thai labor how much authority they have. For gods sake , who /where did they send the dead ,butchered dog? How are they going to determine what caused the dog to die?

The 67 year old lady should be home eating her late night snack, not calling police on a couple of non thai and the police should have escorted her home and left the men to their meal. Dang busy bodies in every village sticking their nose into something that does not amount to a hill of beans. (as the old farmer would say)

    Yes think your right

Maybe the same type of person that kicks the soi dogs just because they are there.

    How thai is that.

  10. You get them kids having fun coffee1.gif

Little buggers enjoying themselves, what an outrage facepalm.gif

Agreed they should just do away with underage drinking limits all together and serve alcohol around the clock..oh I nearly forgot, no drug testing allowed, its always easier to score when the dealers operate straight out of the club without any fear of them pesky army people rolleyes.gif

Don't require a pub or club for what your on about, all goes on under peoples noses.

I can remember when i was a teenager, maybe some people on TV are just to old or never had fun when they were young.

If people on TV think the authorities care about young people in Thailand, they are wrong.

Anchorites only care about there own positions and money.

Its one of the negative sides of Thai culture. Me, Me, Me and more Me.

Go have fun kids, one day you will be old. wai2.gif

Used to be able to drink 24/7 in pattaya, much more fun then.

  11. It is also an effect of climate change.

    Who says so ?

Sounds like natural or its pollution.

just about every scientific paper written on algal blooms. If you want to challenge any part of the discussion, rather than just ask glib questions why don't you bother to read up on the causes first?

    No climate change in Bangsaen

Just natural or its an effect of pollution.

  12. "I usually stay at the Silver Sands resort ,which has two huge pools for swimming..."

Personally, I find it hilarious that someone would go to the beach and swim in a pool, 555

Kind of like going to NYC and then eating at a chain restaurant like Olive Garden, that you can get anywhere, 555

I must be stupid. When I want to go for a swim in a pool, I stay home and head over to the University OLYMPIC SIZE pool and pay 50B.

Here's the number of Olympic size pools at "resorts" in Pattaya: 0. Zip. None.

    Sheer genius! ?

Didn't know you need an Olympic size pool

    Just to have a swim.

  13. Thoughtful of the council to provide these handy litter bins every few yards so that all the Thais picnicking on the walkway (and completely blocking it for pedestrians) have somewhere to throw their litter.

Bins are not required on jomtien beach

The Thais just use the very large Blue bin in front of them,

    Amazing Thailand.

  14. Jomtien ok

    Beach ok

    Water not so ok,

    Sharks, yes,!!!!!! shock1.gif

Did catch a very small sand shark about 12 years ago, way past the islands !!!!!!

don't panic, no real sharks here. thumbsup.gif
