  1. I travel all over Thailand with only my Thai DL. Every airline is fine with this and i never had a issue with a hotel when checking in. The Thai DL has the passport number which is sufficient for the TM30. I tried to fly with my pink ID card but the airline told that this is only possible if my ticket is in my Thai name. This was a few years ago so i don't know if this is still applicable.
  2. Except the USA, There you get only the eSim only version.
  3. PM's don't exists in Thailand.
  4. And the government will be proud of this achievement 😬
  5. Will be interesting to see if people with long term visa extensions (Retirement, marriage etc) also have to do the ETA as they have a approved visa/extension. Also interesting to see what the waiting time will be for the ETA if required, as i have often a last minute flight change (within 24 hours) due to my work.
  6. Then i need that system for at home as i always misplace my money. 🙂
  7. I think that those secret things as mentioned by you are called luggage scanners which are located at customs arrivals where you are asked sometime to put your luggage through. 😆
  8. Complete rubbish. People outside the immigration department don't have access to the immigration database and they work together with banks. Even within the immigration department the officers can only see information which is relevant for their position. There is no option to set a "marker" against your name for exchanging money or something similar.
  9. I'm looking for a shop who can install a (3 ") lift kit for my Toyota Revo pickup. (if possible around Rawai / Chalong) Preferable a shop who provides good workmanship ship and where i can communicate in English. 🙂 As a option i can get the lift kit delivered but i need to get it installed if the shop can't provide a suitable lift kit.
  10. It's not that I'm against advertising as i know that they need it to run the site. But I'm against how it is implemented (in your face). If the advertisements where not so intrusive and not interfering so much that the site is almost unusable i wouldn't have any issues with it.
  11. Be happy that you have to collect your luggage at the "old" terminal just after immigration, otherwise you would have to walk all the way from the new to the old terminal with your luggage to clear immigration and customs.
  12. They don’t kill any animals for the vegetarian festival. 😳😳 maybe you’re confused with something else. if you don’t like it, don’t come. nobody is forcing you.
  13. Not far of the truth anymore those days. 😳
  14. You’re right and this is one of the reasons i almost stopped using the forum. i was relatively active on the forum as it was a good information platform but due to the aggressive adds and lot of disinformation from trolls etc i stopped using it. its a shame as it was once very good.
  15. Depends on the immigration office.
  16. All depends on the immigration office.
  17. I would highly advice to avoid using a agent. Some immigration offices (like Phuket) are very reluctant to do a extension if the person used a agent previously and the extension wasn't issues in Phuket. They will tell the costumer to go to the immigration office where his extension was issued as they know that most agent issued extensions are done with fake paperwork.
  18. If you use the 800 K Baht in your Thai bank account option you should not need to proof where the money is coming from. I only can talk for Phuket immigration but they don't ask for where the money is coming from.
  19. You always could send a email to the Phuket Immigration Volunteers ( piv.information(at)gmail.com )for the correct information 🙂
  20. When using the 800.000 Baht in the bank account the money doesn't have to from overseas. (no proof is required where the money is coming from) The international transfer proof is required when you don't use the bank account and can't get the embassy income certificate. Then you have to proof that you get 65.000 Baht monthly overseas income.
  21. Phuket does not have a arrival fast track but maybe can the airline rep help if you booked assistance.
  22. All depends on the Amphur. I did my yellow book in Kathu and only my wife was required together with the copies. Normal copies and no certification was required.
  23. I use the Siam Mandarina Hotel ( +/- 2500 Baht) on a regular basis and can't complain about it. They have a shuttle very 30 mins or so and it takes only a few minutes.
  24. If i'm not mistaken are e-bikes under 500 W with manual pedal support are legal for people over 15 years and don't need registration or insurance.
