  1. Be aware that if you get a visa extension stamp from a far away immigration office, Phuket can do difficult when applying for a new extension in Phuket at a later stage. Many people where refused a new extension and being told to get the new extension again at the far away office as they don't trust the extension.
  2. There is double pricing on Phuket for sure but it is not so widespread as some people want to believe. I have to admit that I don't frequent the beach tourist restaurants but most restaurants on the island don't do double pricing. I think that it is mainly concentrated at the beach area or the view points etc. That was the case but most parks don't accept the pink ID card or any other ID card anymore for foreigners.
  3. Maybe in other places but not in Phuket. Same as above comment, not in Phuket ????
  4. There is and was never a requirement for a 7 day hotel booking to enter the country. The address on the TM6 card is only for the first night. BUT due to Covid they are now more interested into where you stay untill your second covid test in case they have to trace you down. Maybe this is the reason for asking for the hotel address. Yes, people are responsible for the correct paperwork but airlines are financially responsible in case you are refused entry due to missing documents. Therefore, most airlines will check at check-in if you qualify for entry.
  5. I travel a lot by car between Phuket and Phang Nga and use my European vaccination certifcate (laminated) together with my Thai ID card. My name on the certifcate is in English and on the ID card in Thai ???? Not one time was this questioned and most of the time they wave you trough as soon they see that you have them.
  6. Where is the health centre in Phuket town ?
  7. Good question but as I'm driving with 3 chatting woman in my car I will be happy to have a overnight stop i guess ????
  8. I lost a few friends due to Covid and they where also healthy so that argument doesn't work for me. And i incline to trust scientist more then some so called FB experts but that is your own decision. I only can relay on my own experience with Moderna and what the (real) experts are saying. But every medicine has risks involved even when you just take a aspirin.
  9. Thanks for the advice, After living here over 33 years driving is not a issue ???? but I never did drive to Kachanaburi. We are planning to do 1 stop as we don't have to much time unfortunately.
  10. I'm planning to drive from Phuket to Kachanaburi next month. I will probable stay overnight somewhere around Prachuap. Any advice for this trip about the roads and other things to be careful of as i never drove towards Bangkok from Phuket.
  11. May i ask why you don't want Moderna ? I had 3 shots of Moderna and did not had any side-effect what so ever (same as everybody else I know)
  12. I suppose that you are talking about Bangkok as Moderna is available widely in Phuket also at Central Festival but not as a walk-in and only at curtain days. At other places it can be purchased via walk-in or sort term booking like i did last month.
  13. I got my Moderna booster last month in Phuket at the mission hospital. No pre-order, just made a appointment 1 week before. looks like it's a problem of the private hospitals in Bangkok as Moderna is easily available in Phuket.
  14. I tried with and without VPN (Thai server) but without luck. Looks like that i have to wait until I'm back in Thailand to see if it works again ????
  15. Thanks, are you outside Thailand at the moment ? I have a Iphone 13 Plus.
  16. The Mor Prom app on my Iphone is not opening at all anymore. (it closes straight away after opening) Does anybody knows if this is the case because I'm outside Thailand at the moment ?
  17. Who says that he is a teacher earning 30 K ? Besides that why would the victim has to suffer (potentially) financially for sometimes outside his responsibilities.
  18. If I was the victim and had first class insurance I probable wouldn't want to involve my insurance for this. Just to eliminate the risk that my premium would go up for the next year. I would be sorry for the OP but insist on a paint job via the car dealership.
  19. Everybody who returns back to Thailand needs the Covid insurance. If his Non-OA health insurance also covers Covid and he has a statement of this it should be accepted i guess.
  20. Has to be a official certificate, self test are not accepted. The test can be done just before the check point if required.
  21. No, they have entry requirements. Fully vaccinated or having a covid test result. This will be checked at the Sarasin Bridge checkpoint and you will be send back for a covid test if you are not fully vaccinated.
  22. When arriving by car they check your vaccination status at the Sarasin bridge checkpoint,
  23. The Netherlands requires a lab/clinic report of your antigen test.
  24. I will need a antigen test next week as I'm flying to the Netherlands for which a antigen test is sufficient and as i fly with Qatar this is also not a problem. But it is hard to find a place on Phuket who do antigen tests with certificate with a few hours turn around. The places i contacted can do a antigen test but don't supply a certificate, only the lab results and i don't know if that is sufficient to fly. Does anybody know where i can do this on Phuket ?
