TM stands for Too Moo which is immigration (or close to it) in Thai, so makes sense. It depends where you do the application as all those mentioned are not a issue for Phuket immigration.

Any agents promising a DL without going to the DLT or doing a exam is totally 100% illegal and in most cases they don't even can't provide the DL. Friends of my tried this and the agent only requested several times additional payments for so called obstacles. In the end he never got his DL and went to the DLT by himself for the renewal.

Departed on Sunday 10 December 09:00 and the queue's where the longest I ever saw. The queue before the escalator to security was about 25 meter and at security it was completely packed. The queue for the immigration hall started straight after the security counter with a queue snake all the way to the escalator down. They blocked the escalator to the immigration hall at a regular basis to avoid overloading the immigration hall which was also packed. But i have to admit that the queue moved slowly at a regular basis and it took me about 1 h 15 mins from the security escalator to passing immigration. The immigration officers where working fast but unfortunately they removed several immigration booths to make space for the automatic immigration booths which should be used for the new automated immigration system for visa exempt people.

So far i know you have to do the police report in the province where the incident happened. Therefore he told the Phuket police that he lost his DL in Phuket.

Good question, I suspect that they can but they have to hand you over to the immigration department for a visa check.

I'm the same, I live for over 35 years on Phuket and never being asked for my passport. I never have it with me and use my Thai DL or ID card if required. Even traveling domestically i never have it with me.

That is correct, For the indentification law, any Thai goverment issued ID card should be sifficient. But there can is also the requirement to proof your legal sttaus in the country. (Visa check) Here is the issue, it is not sure if this can be done with a copy or does it have the original passport, Depending on their mode they say one or the other. Also officially only a immigration officer can check your legal status as normal police officers don't have access to the immigration information.

Foreigner Arrested at Phuket Airport for 80 Days of Overstay
merijn replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
They don't pay for overstay reporters. There is no change and you still can pay the maximum of 20.000 Baht at the airport when you have overstay. The check-in counter does not check your visa stay, only your personal details and pasport expiration date. Without knowing the facts we don't know why he was arrested. - Maybe no money to pay the fine. - Disrespecting the officers. - at the aiport for a different reason. there could be a lot of reasons. Cash only. -
Be aware that Bangkok Airport Limounsine services don't pick you up from the gate anymore (Already for over a year) but instead you have to walk to gate D5 (oposite fasttrack immigration) where a person (most of the time a immigration officer) will wait for you with your name on his phone screen. He will guide you through immigration.

100ml Liquids Rule for carry on luggage
merijn replied to samtam's topic in Suvarnabhumi Airport Forum
Expect Thailand to change the liquid rule at a very late stage if at all. But Suvarnabhumi installed new scanners and the electronic stuff can stay in your bag according my experience. -
You are correct, The senior officer signs all the application once a day at the end of the working day. And normally they will put in a new 90 day reporting slip but this is not always done.

When flying with a tourist visa (TR60) no onward ticket is required. If a local Non-O visa is possible (not possible for all categories) you have to do it straight after entering the country as normally 15 working days are required for this.
