Renting a condo for 12 months on a 2 months Tourist Visa
I would just wait until you are here and do the paperwork then. Make sure everything is clear and you document everything in the place and anything that may be faulty or missing. You will be responsible for everything. Like it was said before. You do not need any special visa to rent a property.

The other option is going into the attic and having it spray foam sealed.

Buriram Highway Police crack down on driver using deceptive number plate sticker
You see many cars now with the black numbers painted white. I’m sure they are trying to do the same thing.

Bhumjaithai Party will not join any coalition with Move Forward
I hope he is holding his breath until someone speaks to him. He’s the worst of the worst for foreigners let alone Thais.

The Lofts - Cozy beach
Cosy beach area is a great place to live, but the traffic on holidays and weekends can be a nightmare. It gets overloaded with tourists going to Restaurant Row along the cliff at the bottom of the hill, and with only 1 single lane to get in and out of the area the traffic jams are horrendous. Other than that it’s a pretty quiet place well positioned between Jomtien and Pattaya. If you have a motorcycle you should be fine.

Elderly woman captivates by sitting for exam, proving it’s never too late
I’m glad she took the classes to better understand her children and to help her with her own farming activities. Unfortunately if she wanted a job in the Thai sector they wouldn’t hire her due to her age. But good for her for achieving what she wanted.

Buriram residents bewildered by backdated water bills up to 9 years old
That’s nothing compared to last year’s taxes the government went after for on land and house. They never even sent a bill for 7 years and then they sent them all in one shot to be paid asap or be fined big time. They need to get their sht together on this and any other bills. I’m sure if I didn’t pay my water bill for 2-3 months they would cut it off. These people are actually lucky they didn’t, but that is a lot of money for these poor Thais.

NGO says mercy killing of stray animals is strictly controlled by Thai government
Pratumnak hill has become over run with the Soi dogs and I am seeing more puppies. There may be a few nice ones, but there a lot especially on Soi 1 and 2 that chase people and motorbikes. I have to be very careful to take my dog on a walk. They gang up all around us. And no they are not friendly. People keep dropping off food so they stay around. Obviously not the people who live around here. Something needs to be done. IMG_0329.mov

Chiang Mai elephant sanctuary faces closure amid family inheritance dispute
If you look at their website it says they no longer allow rides and don’t do the paint show. So maybe they have made some good changes, but still three times the price for tourists.

Chon Buri resident’s lucky escape from giant lizard lurking in toilet
So, I guess lizards can’t be a reincarnation of your loved ones like most other animals, otherwise he may end up down below for poisoning it. I’m sure that there were other options, but maybe he was just to scared, or didn’t have a group of friends to help him. ????

Pattaya Officials Remove Obstructive Billboards from Walking Street
I still wish they would have just tore down all the buildings on the right while everything was shut down. It would make for a much nicer atmosphere and place to visit.

Will it be Pita? A guide to this week’s vote for a new prime minister
No one in the general public will know the outcome until it actually happens. The old goats are trying everything they can to stop it or postpone it. Hopefully we will get some good news soon.

Kiwi’s prison plight ends: Thai hellhole release brings a breath of relief
Sounds like he’s setting himself up to write a book and cash in on his own personal experience with a lot of drama and trumped up lies added to it. I’ll bet he’s glad his jail boyfriends don’t speak English.

The best time to come to Thailand for a holiday – and when is the rainy season ?
Well that seems close, but the seasons and weather have changed a lot over the past few years. Even last year during the so called cool season never seemed to appear and the skies were far from clear. At least in Patttaya during the rainy season it seems to be much cooler with cloudy skies and brief rain showers. The weather is wacky so just prepare for anything during your trip here and hope for the best.

Starbucks Thailand Reveals Plan to Open 335 New Outlets by 2030
Amazon Cafe has much better coffee at half the price. They are becoming the go to place for a good affordable coffee. Starbucks is just a place people go once in awhile to get a photo opportunity showing others they can afford a cup of coffee for a half day’s work. I’d open an Amazon cafe any day over a Starbucks.

Rehabilitation will begin within a few days, but it will mostly be very simple and gentle stretching exercises to help you maintain the range of motion in all your other limbs. The physiotherapist will likely also guide you through some exercises to prevent blood clots from forming.

Zuckerberg: Ten million join Meta's Twitter rival, Threads
I think the worst part is that many will download the app and if they are not happy and try to cancel their account they will lose their instagram account as well. Now that’s a little tricky and sneaky way to keep subscribers.

Pattaya Youngsters Beat 18-Year-Old Man for Asking Them to Quiet Down
They really need to punish these kids who cause fights with more serious charges. If anyone is found they usually just give them a slap on the hand, a small fine and a Wai. Nothing will change until they start putting these dangerous kids in jail. However, they must find them first, and most other Thais don’t want to get involved due to possible backlash. Get those cameras working and start cleaning up the area.

Northeast Thailand villages ravaged by wild elephants: Urgent action plea
I wonder what they expected would happen when they moved into the elephants territory and started growing crops? They never seem to think about the consequences. I feel bad that they lost their crops, but not as bad as I feel for the elephants losing their land.
