All-out effort to save the life of a sick elephant calf
jcmj replied to webfact's topic in Central Thailand
Good luck little one. -
A good paint job and it will be back in service soon. At least no one was injured.

It’s a start, but they need to educate them first and show them horrific pictures of things that can happen if you don’t use them. Saw some very graphic pictures at a government hospital and if that doesn’t do it God help them. ????????

Thailand to host international AIDS conference in Chiang Mai next week
jcmj replied to snoop1130's topic in Chiang Mai News
No one here even wants to discuss this. I can’t imagine what in the world they will speak about at the conference. They need to stop putting stigmas on this topic and start teaching about it and the consequences in early school. They are just too afraid of sex education here. Open up. The kids are going to find out one way or another and many the hard way. Sad. -
If you’re looking for blue you can do it naturally butterfly pea flowers. Very simple and easy, but Lazada has dyes if you want to go that route.

Thai PM urged to reconsider decriminalisation of cannabis
jcmj replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Kids will always find something and I’m sure sniffing glue is a lot worse. It’s up to the parents and government to educate their citizens, but kinda like talking about sex, it’s a tough one to crack. -
Indonesia passes criminal code banning sex outside marriage
jcmj replied to webfact's topic in World News
I guess they only want married couples to visit. We’ll see how this goes. Hope they hit rock bottom soon. This is ridiculous. -

jcmj replied to dayo202's topic in Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
Search on Facebook. I have seen many advertisements there in the past, then widdle it down to the ones that have great reviews. Good luck. Teak is not cheap. -

Just one more reason not to vote for him. At least I hope. He’s been nothing but bad news for foreigners and struggling Thais. -

Well I wonder if those Thai nominees will get something. I guess it may just be too messy but they have their ways. Time will tell. -

Health Min orders monitoring against XBC “Deltacron”
jcmj replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Sure get another shot of an old vaccine that doesn’t target the new strains. Makes sense. He’ll they should be giving a free pizza once you hit 10. Crazy. It should be like the flu shot that changes according to the strain of the year. More shots doesn’t mean you won’t get it. May help, but no guarantee. -
Boy do they hate competition. I agree all should be licensed but still believe that they’ll be fighting that as well. Do your job better and stop overcharging and 1/2 your problems will be solved. Charging double fares for squeezing 2 people on your motorbike is ridiculous. Maybe a little more but double is crazy. I’ll always take 2 if I need too. It’s uncomfortable and dangerous. they do need to cut down on all the baht buses clogging the road and should keep the big buses out of downtown. The traffic is worse now than any high season Due to the roadwork. I suggest the officials get out in a regular car and try getting anywhere downtown quickly so they understand. Not just sitting behind their desks and talking about it. Do something. It’s a nightmare out there.

Elon Musk Hopes to Test a Brain Implant in Humans Next Year
jcmj replied to Scott's topic in World News
Good luck with this one. I’d like to see what they are programming to your brain. I’m sure it’s more than we know. If it is just to help people with paralysis or motor skills that would be a great option for those who need it, but afraid there’s much more to this story than we will ever know. -
Unfortunately there are still too many people not willing to work. So you can have as many jobs as you want out there but until they get the people to work it really doesn’t make a difference. Same goes for Thailand. Tons of jobs out there but not many willing to take them. The old days of working hard for your money are gone for the most part.

Plane Returns To Phuket Airport After Extra Passenger Found On Board
jcmj replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
How could there have been an extra passenger? Apparently staff didn’t do their jobs checking people in. I hope they fined that extra person big time for all those stranded, but I do think they could have continued and took care of them once they landed. Just my opinion. -
I’m not sure if there is Numchai there, but they come to our home and can fix just about anything and will look at it first and give you a quote. Good luck

Health minister challenged over young boys seen smoking weed in Pattaya
jcmj replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Better than sniffing glue or yaba. Unfortunately you can’t control everything kids do, but it starts at home and if they don’t have one then the officials should be fixing that problem first.- 94 replies

Finance Ministry Says Economy May Miss 2023 Forecast
jcmj replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Well wonder why the exports went down? I’m sure it had nothing to do with them strengthening the baht. They always seem to find a way to shoot their own feet once things are looking up. Let’s see what’s next.
