Several of the agents are basically government verified and work in with immigration.

What you get stamped in the passport is legitimate.

You just don't stand in line like other do.

    15k baht upwards.

I know several people who use reputable agents.

not where you get the term 'government verified' from, more likely they know someone who knows someone in a position to help, what about the financial requirement that are bypassed, yes some agents  are completely legal, if they only help with collating the required documents, and maybe stand in line for you at the required office, but others are sailing close to the wind, the same as agents for driving licences, the rules are the rules and in some cases those rules are completely bypassed, there are posts on here where it is posted that IO are allowed some discretion regarding the financials, but why does it 99.9% of the time only happen when an agent is involved.

It's really quite odd. I posted here really to see what people's reactions would be to the treatment she got from the 3 chimpanzees down at Suvarnabhumi, who acted like the dawn of consciousness hadn't quite su

So how many of us have come in on a short term visa and converted to a non imm o? In fact I've no idea what her plans are, or were. They didn't accuse her of trying to flout any rules, just that they didn't like that she'd stayed here before long term, mostly due to COVID. Her mum died in that time and she wasn't able to fly back. It's just the way they denigrated her, insisting she buy a ticket and fly straight back. I know they do that. And like I said before, these are ASEAN countries. They seem to get the very worst treatment, as my mate pointed out.

it seems to me she is staying under any means that she can, ed visa, repeated covid extensions, and immigration are suspicious, the same thing has been reported on here many times over the years, for many different nationalities, it used to be visa exempt border hops, but they put restrictions on them at land borders, then it was repeated tourist visa's then ed visas and now its volunteer visa's,

there will always be people trying to stay long term in Thailand when there is no suitable long term visa for them, maybe the 'rich' boyfriend should buy her an elite visa.

So why pay twice as much as necessary for a good agent ?

did you not see ''all in'' so cheaper than the other one posted, but i didn't post it as cheaper i posted it as an alternative, also check out the fees if they use the company credit card, as opposed to your card

Many thanks @DrJack54 @DrJoy @Lite Beer I have always reported in or before my due date before. However, I noticed if I stick to my exact she dates for the next two cycles it will take me to March 4th. However, I will leave the country on March 6th, hence the initial question.

Out of interest if my sue date was March 4th and I didn't report but left the country on March 6th without completing my 90 day reporting would that be a problem, and count as having failed to report on time?

do one or both of the next 90 day report late that will take you date past the 4th March.

This...    there is no need to go to the DLT with the car..

Just take the Blue registration book to the DLT and buy the Por-Ror-Bor....

You’ll also have to pay the tax for the last couple of years

EDIT:  You mentioned your car is 2011... so it will need to be inspected before you can tax it and get the Por-Ror-Bor etc...

A bit silly being forced to take an uninsured car on the road... but well, TiT !!!...

you can buy the compulsory insurance without driving the car, any testing station will supply it. and online insurance companies, i personally as a non Thai would not drive without some sort of extra insurance class1, 2 2a or 3, who would also do the compulsory insurance about 600ish baht extra

At Rayong you need the QR code to get an appointment,

on the day of the appointment its a separate Q for non Thais, only test is a 'traffic light' colour test, a lot of form checking, they take a photo and that's it 750thb ish for 2 licences, out in 90 minutes.

  7.  i think you have left it too late to renew your Uk passport in time to allow you to renew your yearly extension on that passport, 12 weeks turn around at a minimum

1/leave Thailand by air and re-entering on Irish passport, and start the yearly extension process again via a conversion to non imm 'O' etc, using that passport,

2/ you could apply for a replacement UK passport and then leave Thailand by air re-entering on Irish passport with a 30 day visa exempt entry (possibly 45 days if after 1st october) + a 30 day extension, which could give you an extra time for the passport to arrive, you could combine this with a few weeks stay in a surrounding country to you give you even more time, but once you have new passport then a fresh border run will be required to reuse UK passport and a new  non imm 'O' visa will be required

3/ return to UK for a in person passport application, before your extension in Thailand expires, ie obtain a re-entry permit which will allow you to re-enter Thailand before the 1st october , then renew extension in new passport. no need for a fresh non imm vis

4/ maybe find a solution i can not think of at this time

I think option 1 or 3 are the better choices, as 2 involves 2 border runs and a fresh non imm visa

    good luck

What a mess the first photo is, looks like you used left over tiles.

Do ceramic tiles expand & contract? You suggest a 3mm gap, but that is filled with grout. Is grout comressible?

that wet room had just been grouted and washed off so still a bit hazy, you can see bits are still wet, they were natural stone and cost a kings ransom, and was floor to ceiling, had to re-enforce the walls to take the weight, one wall had half a ton in stone slabs, fixed on  a waterproof backer board, stone chosen by the house owner, i don't have to like them to lay them, it was a refurbishment, all the floors and walls were stone, here's a better photo of the same wetroom and the kitchen floor.

  9. the normal tiles for whole house floor now is 600 x600 porcelain tiles, but make sure they are fitted with a 3mm gap to allow for expansion and with a suitable porcelain adhesive, not sand and cement. my advice is don't fully tile a kitchen or all walls in wet rooms, as a change of paint can easily change the appearance of a room after a few years, some work i did in the UK-

Something to consider..........Sandwiched after being struck from behind, by a truck, in stopped traffic.  The airbags, crush zones, and seat belts functioned perfectly. No interior damage. This one was replaced by an identical model and now, six years on, we have ordered another one.  Its my wife's car and she didn't want anything else, even though price was not an object. The new Swift has front and side airbags.  There is currently more than a two month wait if the dealer doesn't have in stock exactly what you want. The wife says she will wait.
